Midnight 643
Lol first of all Ni no Kuni Is NOT turn based. and people compare it to pokemon because you can capture creatures. I dislike Pokemon but Loved Ni no Kuni. My only problem with the game is that it holds your hand too much. Also you can play the demo on the PS3 for free. As for recs...Depends on what type of game you usually like and what games you have played on steam or PC.... I got my First PS3 Summer of last year and uncharted 3 was one of the first games I got as well. For starters If you like RPG's or just wanna try something amazing and very challenging then get Dark Souls(its also on PC tho)..I wasn't too sure about getting it at first but when I did I never looked back lol. Prob my fav game of all time..Lol I couldn't praise this game enough tbh. Dragons dogma is another amazing RPG...Great combat system especially. Only con is travelling but if you can look past that then you are golden. If you want a Tactical RPG then get Valkyria Chronicles If you want a near perfect Open world Wild west game then get Read Dead Redemption If you want a want a heavy story game with minimal gameplay then get Heavy Rain or the the walking dead Telltale game (Based alot more on comic than the TV show) and I haven't played them yet but Star Ocean:The last hope and enternal sonta seems like good games...Will prob pick then up 2morrow. as for JRPGS in general on the PS3 i dunno. They are usually better on Nintendo systems nowadays. Just look at the triforce of great JRPGS released recently on wii...which is a dead console....Xenoblade chronicles, Last story, pandoras tower. So is Ni No Kuni command based? Or kinda action-like? I played The Walking Dead in the PC and it wasn't my cup of tea tbh. It played more like a VN than an actual game. The story was nice tho. How is Heavy Rain? Is it like TWD? Star Ocean: The Last Hope looked more like a Phantasy Star spin-off as said by my friends. Tales of Graces F looks nice but I'll probably wait for Tales Of Xillia D: I hated how it only had 2 characters. I loved fang too! I used her in my group hehe. You might enjoy it, but Sarah and Noel do nothing for me. Plus the whole time travel thing was just...no. Now Radiant Historia is a game that does time travel well, that's on DS though. Yeah i guess that's fair about Ni No Kuni. I'm not sure about those other games, i've been looking for good jrpgs for the PS3 for a long time now. Hopefully someone else here can give their opinion of them I had Fang and Vanille on my main party Seeing 2 favorite characters of mine die well technically they didn't is just too much for me

Stevie Wonder's Anus 73
^Yeah its a punishing but rewarding game...Hell tbh I don't even consider it very punishing after I played demon souls. I guess at this point in my life I'm just a masochist who can't wait to die 200 times in dark souls 2. NNK Is command based but you don't just sit there and watch the health bar go down like in pokemon. You gotta move around and be active in battle...especially boss fights. Heavy rain is like TWD in the sense of that they are both heavy story based. But in Heavy rain instead of Quick time choices its quick time actions. and Yeah I would wait for Xilla as well. Nyokou 700
I downloaded minecraft on iPad and just stared at it cause I didn't know what to do lmao Haha! That was my very first experience with Minecraft too... like back in 2009 or w/e when it was still in Alpha stage on PC. I didn't know what to do so I didn't care to continue playing it... but then when the 360 ver came out last year I was really excited to try it out again cause it had been released officially and all on PC already but I was still a little skeptical (plus I'm more of a console gamer tbh)... And it was fun. ^^ Been addicted ever since. what games do you like? Too many to name... I'll just say that my favorite series of all time is the Bioshock series and the only game I play regularly nowadays is Minecraft.

-removed- 330
How is Heavy Rain? Is it like TWD? There's still story time and much more quicktime events and each action of yours will greatly affect the ending. It's really cool if you want something thrilling and like detective shit and all that! I think my post-game party was Lightning/Fang/Hope Metal Gear Rising is such an amazing game~ I recommend it to anyone into games like Bayonetta. that's the best party and it's what i used too. I just switched to Fang as the leader when fighting the Adamantortoises. For the person that asked if Eternal Sonata is any good, it's good but not great. I like the look of it and the music is classical music because the story revolves around Chopin. Battle system is interesting and taking pics during fights to sell for money is kinda fun at first. It lacks diversity though, there's only a small number of enemies with palette swaps. Viola absolutely kicks ass in that game. It's cheap i think so pick it up if you need a rpg to play. Gonna buy a game today Tbh I liked Vanille except for the voice acting though. My main party was Lightning / Vanille / Sazh I set up Vanille to be main healer while Sazh was sub-healer. We kicked ass so much. Missing FFXIII How about.... Resonance of Fate?
Mako Yagami 4,462
How about.... Resonance of Fate? Dear god that game was hard. Well, the first half not really once you get the hang of it but the second half was murder. You really gotta grind your ass if you want any hope of defeating the enemies. I made it up to the final boss but never beat him. They made him way too OP and I really didn't wanna grind anymore.
Stevie Wonder's Anus 73
Started up Tales of Graces F and a boa song played lol. Haven't even stepped into the game yet but thats bonus points for me. This is my first tales game so hopefully I enjoy it. and damn This game is looking so good. 1ST day buy easily..Think I'll end up getting it on the Wii U instead of PS4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC_OaVtkHzU

Mako Yagami 4,462
Looks complicated but actually very simple after 5 or so fights. At first the fights will be long because your guns will be really weak but after a couple chapters you will be making your own guns with good parts. Basically you have to hit the enemy twice to really inflict any damage. A machine gun will inflict "scratch damage" which depending on how good your gun is or how weak the enemy is could win you the fight next turn. To attack you could stay still but the most effective way of attacking is to run and build up your power gauge. The longer you run the better chance you have at inflicting optimum "scratch damage". A normal gun will inflict the real damage done by the machine gun next turn. Make good guns and you will breeze through for a while but mid game you will be faced with impossible enemies that will require you to grind and level up your weapons. A good game, plot is kinda hard to understand at first but very unique. The combat is also unique and pretty fun once you get the hang of it. I just hate how they decided to make the game 10X harder midway.
akihabalove 590
I love the Tales battle system and I wish more RPGs had one like it. I want some new news on Lightning Returns already, I don't care if you've hired a Japanese band to create LR remixes, Squeenix ¬.¬ Xbox Infinity? No, just no. Stevie Wonder's Anus 73
lol i'm not sure how much you'll like it if it's your first Tales game. I will say that it's battle system is fantastic and is the best in the Tales series. Everything else is pretty meh though, the story, chars, VA, dungeons, and music (outside of BoA's song ) Was actually the first rpg i've ever played where i was listening to my own music with headphones while playing, it's just plain and repetitive. BUT, Tales games were always more about the fighting to me over the other stuff and it was fun enough for me to play and Platinum it because of the battle system. And fun is the most important thing in gaming. I'm not the biggest Tales fan in general though so you might love it. In short: decent game, great battle system. edit: read through this if you want a laugh or be sad at stupidity Does Vanille from FFXIII count as a loli? I love the battle system, The presentation so far is decent and really thats all that matters to me atm. With recently playing games like Fire emblem awakening and Ni No Kuni its gonna be hard to match those anyway. Apparently Xilla has a much better presentation/story but graces has much better combat and content.
