I really wish they remake Persona 3 with Persona 5 graphics. It's still my favorite Persona game. And I want to play it with Jp voice too because the Eng dub was ugh, it kind of hurt my experience and immersion :3

Just finished Trails in the sky first chapter and that ending.... Darn it falcon, even back in those days they really know how to make a story. I'm in love with the main protagonist Estelle and Joshua but that ending.... That ending...

Joshua being an assassin not able to talk and the magician made him into a killer.... Just..... And now that Joshua told Estelle about it. I'm heartbroken just why.... Things really didn't have to go this way... Estelle and Joshua

can't wait to see how Sky second chapter is. I've bought Third chapter two days ago too seeing how much I love the first.

You should look out for certain details in the sequel. ^^ Without going too much into spoilers, Sky SC has stuff that plays an important role in CS3. I just find it amazing how this arc has set up a lot of important events for the future games, really.

 

Prepare yourself for it though. SC is even more of an emotional rollercoaster. omfg

Just found out Shining Resonance Refrain is coming out in the west this summer. I've seen this game topped a lot of people's JRPG list, so I'm curious about it.

 

I said before cs2 is the most heart wrenching game that I've played in the last few years. I wonder how sky 2 would handle against cs2 xD

Edit: I'm planning to play the crossbell series soon and been looking at falcon reddit for the progress of is translation. Wondering if I should really wait for the final edit of the first crossbell game (saw it at 50%) or not. I'm used to games with iffy translation from kdramas and some visual novels I've read. As long as I can understand the story I'll be satisfied.

 

There's already one for Zero (1st game) but the translation is stiff and "too literal." There's also a new one being done (I think it's 60% now.) I think I would just wait for the new one. ^^

 

For Ao (2nd game), there's a machine translation (yeah, ignore that one lmao) and there's a new one that has just been completely translated. http://gurennoheyakara.blogspot.com.au/p/games.html Currently, I think they're doing a run to check for stuff.

So just finished chapter 7 of Trails in the sky sc and.... Wow... The writing and story drift of it.

 

 

 

Learning about Agate past and how his sister was everything to him even though that necklace got burnt he still carries it with him. Punches me right in the feels.

 

 

Oliver leaving the party and says next time they meet they will be enemy. Like wtf...

 

Meeting up with Joshua and just that scene alone made me tear up. Omg Joshua..... He's such a big fool I love him so much. Plus learning about his pest I was trying to hold onto the feels but darn... Just darn it...

 

And now just finished chapter 7 and things just got turned off like emp blast and no lights plus the floating island o.o

 

and i thought Cold steel 2 made me care so much but now seeing sky sc so much emotions.

 

ahaha that Oliver moment is one of my favorite moment in the series. Look forward to what happens!

anyway, the emotional rollercoaster isn't over yet :3

and i'm so freaking bitter this didn't make it as Fie's official design for CS3. Instead, we got that junky outfit for her. -sighs- This wasn't even a DLC! :( like, WTF! This is so much better than her official CS3 design. </3

 

I think the main issue with this is it looks more like a Zephyr jaeger getup instead of a bracer. I still think this should have been a DLC at least. :3

 

 

Pc reports and review says ni no kuni 2 is good and well optimised. I'm not sure if I'll get it mainly cause of my backlog rip and cash..


Also just about to finish trails in the sky sc final chapter.

Literally bawled my eyes during the fight against Lowee.

Darn you Lowee why just why would you do this...
My heart ache for Scherazard but Lowee was on another scale :(. And than Wiseman making Joshua into a puppet. I hate that about him.... Making my heart ache curse you Wiseman.

Going to finish the game later today another game done and finished on my backlog.

 

 

EDIT: Just finished triails in the sky sc and man that was great.

 

I loved the game even more than fc and even more than cs 1 and 2 xD.

 

Was sharing some tears during the end of SC due to the fact the dragon and Casisus saved Estelle and Joshua .Just oh my gosh my heart dropped during the final few scenes and than the whole Lowee part where he just scarafied himself for the team. Like despite his whole purpose I can't help but too love him :(

Wondering now if I should play Third chapter or not.

 

Sky the 3rd is mainly about Kevin and Ries (new character) instead of Estelle and Joshua. I'm not sure if you're going to like it but it's my favorite game in the arc personally. It's the darkest game in the series and it's very edgy, like i'm talking about demonic edgy stuff. lmao

 

The game's structure is radically different from the typical Kiseki game. The whole game is basically stuck inside one massive labyrinth of a dungeon + story + Kevin's backstory. It also ties up a lot of loose ends (not all of it) in the arc as well as add more depth to almost characters through extra features (Moon Doors, Sun Doors); they're basically optional doors you can enter to view cutscenes about a lot of characters including the main cast, former antagonists, some vague spoiler stuff for future games, Ouroboros mystery, and even the Ravens gang has one. XD

Huh doesn't the third game add into the whole experience of the future trails games like Zero and Ao and even CS? That's my main reason for playing through the entire series of sky, although it did make me care so much for Josuha, Estelle and even other characters like Tita, Kloe and Agate. Really going to miss them

 

I didn't really like the whole Kevin aspect in sky so I'm very weary of picking and carrying through the third game /: so there's that. part of me wanting to give the third game a go. But isn't cs much darker than sky third? I think i read CS series was much more in your face than third game is

 

Yeah, it does add a lot tbh. But I meant the story structure and progression is very different from all games. 

 

The organization (Gralsritter) Kevin is a part of is an important and consistent part of the series. I know they're rarely mentioned in CS and CS2 but their presence is still there. You'll see how in CS3. :3

 

And don't worry. You'll hear about or even meet those characters again in future games.

 

CS still have a lot of nice, happy, slice-of-life moments but Sky the 3rd just has depressing vibes and atmosphere for the majority of the game. lol

Has anyone here played ys viii? I'm debating to get it or not as I saw it has a release date for next month on pc.

 

 

On a side note just got through Sky third chapter, chapter 2 done and things seem to be O.O

 

I've played it before! I think it's actually my favorite standalone Falcom game. :3

 

Let's see...

Graphics: very mehhh for a game on a PS4.

Gameplay: I love the gameplay and I find it addicting! Although it gets kind of tedious near the end.

Story: awesome and bittersweet! :D

 

Oh, and also NISA actually gave a damn and fixed their translation errors which I rarely (if ever) see, so that's cool. There was like a big patch for it. I'm actually thinking of replaying it some time in the summer again.

I haven't played any games for almost two months but I just started playing God of War and wow, it's been fantastic so far! The visuals are so freaking beautiful!  :D

 

I still can't get over how amazing the first major boss battle is. :3

OMG Beryl is back for Cold Steel 4! :D She's that strange Mystic Club student NPC in the first 2 Cold Steel games. One of my favorite NPC in the whole series. :3

 

 

I love her new design! She's looking so cute and creepy at the same time (perfect combination tbh). <3

 

I was surprised she didn't appear in CS3 at all despite being one of the student NPC who seems to have plot relevance. I don't think she's just a troll character, so I'm anticipating a big reveal about her. inb4 Ouroboros member

Omg isn't she the girl from that mysterious club that Towa send you on a mission for and she's like telling you ghost stories? I adore her darn it, really need to play the third game so badly

Yeah. She also says a lot of weird stuff and foreshadows a lot of Rean's struggles.

Thinking of getting Tales of Berseria. I've never gotten into any of the Tales games before but so far I'm liking what I see with Berseria. 

 

Plus, I'm highly interested in Magilou. I want to do further research.

damn, this really sucks for western fans how there isn't even an announcement for CS3 localization yet

I've been getting into the Touhou series lately. I always see fan arts of Touhou characters everywhere, so I got curious and I decided to check it out. And what do you know. I love it and I got addicted to it. I never thought bullet hells could be this fun (I hated them in Nier:Automata). lmao I played from EoSD to Mountain of Faith so far. It's very frustrating at times, but the REAL feeling of  â€œpride and accomplishment†you get once you finally figure out the patterns and beat the boss is so satisfying. :D

 

Of course, the main draw of Touhou for me are the characters and music. My main favorites are characters from EoSD (Remilia, Patchouli, Sakuya, Meiling), and Imperishable Night (Mokou and Kaguya. OTP tbh. Eirin and Reisen as well). I love Reimu, Marisa, Yukari, Alice, Yuyuko, Aya, Youmu, too, and a lot of characters tbh. They’re so awesome. <3

 

As for themes, I could be cliche and go with Flowering Nights or UN Owen Was Her? because those two are just too iconic. But I love others like Flight of the Bamboo Cutter and Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke too.

 

Where the hell have I been all these years and why did I just get into it now?! Lol, Umineko too which I had only discovered this year. Umineko was such a “life-changing†VN which even challenged my way of thinking and my perspective over certain aspects of life. I love both series and their utter wackiness! Both also happen to feature an abundant of badass, wacky, amusing female characters. <3

 

I wish these were my childhood tbh. Better late than never, I guess? :D

I just finished Red Dead 2! The epilogue chapter was one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed.

2018 was a decent year for gaming overall, I guess... I mean, aside from all the microtransaction-related and typical companies being greedy controversies.  

 

Although, I don't know if anyone can relate, but it feels like I've been playing more and more "old" and niche games rather than recent mainstream games in the last couple of years. I used to mainly play triple A games some years ago, but lately, not so much. Actually, I think GoW and Red Dead are the only ones I played this year...  I'm really not sure whether it's due to all the monetization BS or I'm just losing my interest in triple A games. lol I mean, I just think it's weird considering I actually have my own money to afford $59 games now unlike when I had to beg my parents to get me stuff
