Humble Origin Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/    6 decent games, pay anything you can/want to get them. or pay more than the average and get Battlefield 3 & The Sims 3 Starter pack(Base game, Late night expansion, and the High End Loft stuff pack) along with the other 6 games. For Dead Space 3, Sims 3, and Battlefield 3 you'll have to use them through origin but the others have steam keys along with origin keys. Also, all of EA's usual proceedings from the sale go directly to charity.

I'd gladly play Vesperia if only an english PS3 port gets released

I was in that boat too, then I got impatient and borrowed my friends 360 and bought a super cheap copy of Vesperia. There's actually a fan translation going on for it...

Though when it'll be released is anyones guess. You would also have to have a modded PS3 to play it patched.

I have one problem with GTA. I have never finished it. Spent so many hours and so many missions but seriously, does the game ever end? I severely enjoyed it though so I might buy it.

I need to buy a TV first and foremost though.

I'm amazed how many people like Japanese games. I just never enjoy them, the ones that I've played. O also find them to be linear as heck. I legit still have the classic Final Fantasy 7 downloaded and barely played. I find the characters in J games to be creative and bizarre with good back stories but the game play can get so repetitive. I mean Final Fantasy is an RPG but there was no sense of adventure. Devil May Cry was just hack and slash. What a waste of sixty bucks just cause I like Dante.

Well first of all FF7 isn't as good as the popularity makes it out to be so i fully understand not liking that. But maybe you're just not a jrpg kind of person like how i'm not a wrpg guy. Games like DMC and God of War all bore me also.

And all games are repetitive, it just depends on if you enjoy whatever it is that you're doing.

Do you like Mario at least? Who can dislike mario? Well i can understand the recent games, I don't like the New Super Mario Bros series at all.

Is it wrong that I only and exclusively play Sims 2 because I find Sims 3 looking too cartoony? The men look like women and vise versa. The graphics for the Sims 3 makes them look scary look, stiff faced...its just scary?

Sometimes I'll never understand the length of localization times just to bring games over to the US or in English in general.

At least for more popular series like FF or such. Think it be easier just to input English subtitles instead of dubbing it, since most fans probably would prefer it that way. Most games I played that have Japanese with subtitles I usually play it that way.

I guess the point is to appeal to a wider audience, but honestly if people are too lazy to read, they probably aren't a fan of the game to begin with.

i can understand it sometimes. Like i really want the rest of the Trails in the Sky trilogy to get brought over but it's all up to XSEED to translate and localize it. They say there's lots of technical problems and the script is like 800+ pages long (the first game was very text heavy and the second's script is supposed to be doubled)

but i don't understand Yakuza. Sega develops and publishes it, there's no third party company to work with (i guess this could be a bad thing since they have to cover the cost themselves but i don't know that much about this stuff). And the Yakuza games don't even have an english option. It's all in japanese audio with english menus, so no need to hire voice actors, no need to resync the mouths in cutscenes, and there's no need to localize it much because it takes place in Japan anyways. All the game needs is someone to sub the dialogue and menus. I know they're not that well off financially right now and the games don't sell that great, but come on how much does a translator cost.

I'm sorry if i sound like i'm whining  But Yakuza 5 looks really cool and i want to play it and this new one that's supposed to be about Ryoma Sakamoto.

Nah I can understand.what you saying. I'm really doubt translating costs that much, should be less than getting additional voice actors.

I remember when I wanted to check out Anarchy Reigns. It was supposed to be released simultaneously, but for some reason it was delayed for at least 6 months.

Ironically this was from Sega as well. And if I remember right, all the English was done, so there was no reason given for the delayed. Honestly idk what Sega is thinking.

I think Sega is one of the front runners in the Atlus bid right now and a lot of fans are worried that Sega won't be able to bring Atlus games over anymore. It's almost september so we'll find out soon what's going to happen with them.

that reminds me of how Last Story was translated to english already and available in UK but took a while until someone was willing to publish it in north america.

My biggest problem is Bandai Namco localization of Tales series

Symphonia and Vesperia ported version to PS2 and PS3 respectively hadn't been translated yet the original ones from Gamecube and XBOX360 were

I'm still torn over the fact they only chose the best series with outstanding gameplay and visual elements or they are just being picky about their own games
