 this is turning out to be more enjoyable than I thought it would be

 

I just finished Red Dead 2! The epilogue chapter was one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed.

2018 was a decent year for gaming overall, I guess... I mean, aside from all the microtransaction-related and typical companies being greedy controversies.  

 

Although, I don't know if anyone can relate, but it feels like I've been playing more and more "old" and niche games rather than recent mainstream games in the last couple of years. I used to mainly play triple A games some years ago, but lately, not so much. Actually, I think GoW and Red Dead are the only ones I played this year...  I'm really not sure whether it's due to all the monetization BS or I'm just losing my interest in triple A games. lol I mean, I just think it's weird considering I actually have my own money to afford $59 games now unlike when I had to beg my parents to get me stuff 

considering that some of the heavy hitters in triple A had such a rough year, like Bethesda with Fallout and EA...with everything they touched, you are definitely not the only one moving away from mainstream games.

Don't know to be super exicited for this as I've been dying for CS3 or to be bloody scared since NISA is localising it.

My girlfriend got me a Switch for Christmas and its thrown me back into gaming that I love. The games are hella expensive though. Anyone know any good pre-owned site? Or can recommend some absolutely worth it games? If I'm paying £50-£70 a game I wanna make sure Im getting my moneys worth

Zelda is a must. It's not cheap but if we're talking a game that's really worth splurging on that's the game imo. You can see for yourself with the gameplays on yt.

 

As for affordable games I'm not sure what you're into but I'd def recommend Sonic Mania ($20) it doesn't get dull fast

sounds good - I love sonic. im a huge Zelda fan so that's a good rec! thank you! I got NBA 2k18 atm and all the free games... I think its a matter of I buy them and just enjoy them haha

Anybody in here ever played Guitar Hero and/or Rock Band? I’ve played most of both. If I had to pick my favorite games for both, I’d pick Rock Band 2 and Band Hero.

Capcom went all out with the gruesomeness with RE2 remake. Seeing this for the first time in game was disturbing as hell.

The demo really made it look so much worse when you didn't know what to expect. If you think that's disturbing oh good lord you're going to be more freaked out.

 

I'd actually only finished Claire A first two nights ago and really liked it. Honestly I would love more from capcom. Just keep it like this and it will be so good. Resi 3 remake please. Its the only Resi game I've never played now and would like to see 4 to be remade as well since I've never finished it.

Finished The Gardens Between yesterday, it's a 2.5 hours long game that is very beautiful and has a lot of nice puzzles with the gameplay mechanics it uses. It's mostly chill and cute, a bit contemplative, so if you're into that sort of game, I definitely recommend it!

I just finished red dead redemption 2 and boy oh boy that game really drove me though emotions. God of war is still my favourite game of 2018 but darn Red dead redemption 2 just gave me so much and even more that I could ask for.

 

I loved the story, the cast, seriously that cast of characters is one of my favourites in video games. I love Sadie so much. Plus the theme song and ost are just beautiful. Oh the graphics are just stunning too see.

 

Did most of the quest and just ran though the final part today. My only complaint is. The final part did drag but it was more red dead so I'd take it. Also the shooting was OK for me. I honestly would love another red dead game but that will be in a while.

 

 

End game spoilers.

 

Also darn it.. Auther dying literally made me cry so hard it was just.... So brtual even more so than red dead 1 with John.

 

I also cried for John proposing to Abigail that was just so beautiful...

 

My two favourite outlaws rip. Best and greatest bros you can have.

Started to play Apex Legends yesterday, managed to get my first win today, I quite enjoy the game tbh, more than I thought I would, it's definitely a lot of fun!

Is anybody hoping that Modern Warfare 2 gets remastered this year along with Infinity Ward’s next game (which could be MW4, or Ghosts 2, or a completely different game)?
