Has anyone played the God of war 2018? I'm about to finish it (I think) and been loving it so much, was wondering anyone else?

 

Edit :just finished it and wow I'm just stunned how everything wrapped up in the end. Need more god of war. If its an expansion or just another game I'll get it.

 Well, platted Persona 5 at just under 204 hours. Had to do a second run naturally. Only trophy I had trouble with was Passionate Listener. Had to grind for it a bit, wasn`t too bad.

I'm surprised, did you not grind Momentous? Since that trophy was an easy one to get /:

managed to make Persona 5 work on PC at 4k 60fps. Its beautiful

Edit : wondering if there is any other games to get excited about? I just preorder Red dead redemption 2, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Kingdom hearts 3 and Tales of Vesperia. Waiting to see if Darksiders 3, walking dead final season and Life is strange 2 are worth it (played the prequel of each game but unsure to get them or not) . Seems like a pretty decent library for me. But it's there anything else? also waiting for Death stranding and Robotics;Notices vn

Pre-order Spiderman comes with extra in-game goodies for preordering before September. Gameplay looks super fun

 

Upcoming with no release dates yet are The Last of Us 2 / Ghost of Tsushima / Cyberpunk 2077 (makers of The Witcher 3) / Devil May Cry 5 / Bayonetta 3

I really don't know if spiderman would be worth it, just never really appeal to me.

 

Last of us 2 is a must buy and play and cyberpunk I'm super excited for it.

Still trying to decide if it's worth buying the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 considering how unfair Bungie just did its Destiny 2 buyers by making the base game free for PlayStation Plus. Do any of you know anything about The Forest which is originally a PC horror game? I'm not sure if I should wait and buy The Forest for PS4 than just get Forsaken soon.

Thanks for your suggestion. No, I don't want it that badly, and I shouldn't get considering how I haven't even played the Warmind DLC yet or the base game itself since April . I have this off topic question for you. Do you play any multiplayer online games for PS4?

No I don't. Only in pc most of the time if not single player games on ps4 and switch (their exclusives). Really hate paying for ps+ :(

So I been to TGS just the past week and got to play KH3 demo which was really good loving the visuals and the gameplay (although it was mainly in Japanese so I only knew a few things) but just a photo I took from there. Only gripe I have with the game is the load times are a bit too much,.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also just a quick question, saw someone mentioning 428 shibyua's scramble. Wondering how good it is. I've played only a bit from sources that I won't say but wondering to pick it up or not. I'm actually enjoying it but also got Valkyria chronicles 4 and Life is strange 2 and Walking dead final season, unsure which one to even pick up OTL......

I actually never got into ToCS. The port might motivate me to pick it up. What game would you compare it to? The gameplay makes me think Atelier series and Tales series but is it really like those games?

I would say Persona if I had to say it to compare it towards a game right now but there are elements of Persona in it like going to school, you have your town, you have bonding with your team (although persona is much larger in that area), the jrpg aspect of it.  As for the gameplay and when you're in a dungeon it's more or less your strategy jrpg, get to control where your characters are on the grid.

Did anyone else get red dead redemption 2? Gosh my back log just keeps getting increasing but darn I'm only on chapter 2 and the graphic and environment wow. Curious how it will stack up since Witcher 3 is still my favorite open world game of all time and that's saying lot since I loved God of war and assassin creed black flag and the original red dead redemption which came out 8 years ago.

With NISA sniping Ys (then fucking it up as usual) and now Brittany and Tom leaving XSEED and Sony going Hand of God over anything with a bit of fanservice in it, XSEED is probably on its last legs desperately trying to keep the lights on and Cold Steel 3/4 will most likely get butchered by someone.

 

Why do so many people who bring games over from Japan think that we shouldn't get the same product, fucking assholes.

Do you have a source for this? YS 8 runs so horrible on both my pc and my switch that NISA ported  and I heard the complaints by Falcon with the localization that NISA  did of the initial PS4 . :( and we are getting CS1 & 2 which the localisation by Xseed is top notch :( would love to finish the series if anything by Xseed.

Ray tracing finally out on battlefield 5 and RTX cards are basically a joke.

Well it was like this when Nvidia first announced them RTX series is pretty much a beta series. Waiting for AMD to implment it to budget friendly cards that don't cost over 499 to get the technology.

I got Detroit on Monday for $20 thanks to Black Friday sales... and finished it on the same day I got it lol

 

I got the best ending right away so I don't really see the need to replay it but it was cool. I wish David Cage hadn't used his god-character kink here (Markus gave me Fahrenheit flashbacks...) because lifeless Markus hogged a lot of the spotlight when he was undoubtedly the most boring one. I found it ironic that the leader of the deviants was the most lifeless out of the trio tbh (even Connor before going deviant showed more emotions than infinitely stone-faced Markus)

 

I really liked Markus in the intro when he was with Carl but after that his emotions just disappeared and I can't tell if it's the actor flopping at changing his facial expression to one that isn't stoic and dead or David Cage directing him to act that way (I'm leaning towards David Cage wanting Markus to be some sort of emotionless god lol)

 

Anyway Hank and Connor made everything worth it + their hug in the credits killed me + I loved the Luther/Kara/Alice makeshift family it was so cute. Lowkey still wish that Luther had joined the hug when they got through the border to Canada instead of just staring at Kara and Alice

 

Did I mention I love Connor? Because I love Connor. All of his scenes were so interesting to play omg I especially loved the chase. What a legend.

Know this is late but I just finished Shadow of the tomb raider and my gosh it was one rollercoaster of emotions. She's my faviourte all itme heroine for a reason and the game did her character so well..

I loved how they captured her breaking down and being so vulnerable to emotions which was so reltable, after seeing everything she went through it just hit my heart when she was just lost and emotionally destoryed and losing all hope during the end game part only to pick back up when Jonah came to her side.

 

 

Love the whole reboot but got to say this installment is the best .

I've been skipping a lot of new releases until later because:

 

A) I can't afford them.

B) The games more often than not nowadays are broken at release.

C) Chock full of micro transactions and all that shit which are a no go for me.

Should really check out god of war if you haven't and have a ps4

I fangirled so much at that Dragon Age 4 reveal at the Game Awards 2018, I'm so goddamn happy. It's been 3 years I've finished playing Dragon Age: Inquisition but just hearing Solas' voice again made me sink deep into the Solavellan hole again, fuck that egg, in all senses possible. So since I'm bored of RDR2 (can't bring myself to go back to it after a month break now), and Assassin's Creed Odyssey's DLC are slow to come to me and shortly done, I might as well go back to DA:I for one more playthrough in preparation of DA4. (or just go back to my Witcher 3 playthrough ugh).

 

 

 

It honestly was so good to see Lara losing it and just snapping hard like that. As a women gamer, it's not often you get to see a female heroine who is allowed to be just pure unadulterated rage, anger and despair and act on it (and not just be passive about it), and it felt so motherfucking good to see her bad side. I found that exhilarating and absolutely enjoyable, liberating even. I hope more narrative designers & scenarists take notice, because it was tastefully and masterfully done indeed.

 

 

 

Well brace yourself because we're definitely entering an age of "game as a service" and you'll get more and more of that in triple A games, for sure. If you wanna avoid it, you can always get your attention on Indie games and double A games instead.

 

Gosh I need more female protags whom can be as raw  and do it without being judged. It felt far fresher than the ones we get nowadays, it's so lackluster where we don't get any other strong female protags :(

 

 

In other news, the stand alone sequel to Far Cry 5 has been announced, will be titled “Far Cry: New Dawnâ€, will be set 17 years after FC5’s events.

Just finished playing Gris which got released a few days ago. And goddammit, that game is incredibly beautiful, I have not seen a game this beautiful in a long long time. I'm very likely going to play it again at some point because I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff, and I wanna get all of them achievements too!

 

I would love to play the game but.... I'm not sure to pick it up or not. Would you recommend it?

If you like contemplative emotional platformers that are also stupidly gorgeous and unique in their artistic direction, I'd say yes. If you don't, I'd still say yes!

Thing is I heard it's like Journey and I know I don't really enjoy puzzles but the art style is what makes me consdier it. Plus the art style does capture my attention but I'm not sure how I would do with the puzzles. Are they reall complex  or can you just play it without any guides?
