Salieri 4,473
I'm actually a bit disappointed with something in Danganronpa V3 now lol spoilers of course They were doing so well slowly opening up Maki's character but now they've shoved her straight into Kaito's love interest so quickly its jarring. Chapter 3 she learns how to be friendly and trust another human but only with Kaito and Shuichi, yet in chapter 4 almost everything she says and does is fixated on Kaito including such dumb tropes as getting mad he doesn't pick her to go looking around for clues. And Kaito is being a ponce going on about not carrying everything alone yet he won't tell either of them important stuff like how he's sick. I'm starting the chapter 4 trial and it feels like every character is simply using Shuichi for their own ends. That's exactly what I felt throughout that entire trail of chapter 4. Just didn't enjoy how people were using him :( What did you find out about the victim and the killer and motive? I just started chapter 5 and things been hell. Just got to chapter 5 trail...... Just when things couldn't get more bizarre ..... Edit :I'm done with chapter 5 I'm so heartbroken and hurt :( Edited October 1, 2017 by Salieri
tsugu 589
meanwhile I'm still at chapter 3 in danganronpa v3 and from the new facts that surfaced in this chapter, I have 2 guesses: 1. All 16 of them are clones, which explains why they are "alive" after the "funeral". 2. The funeral occurred sometime in the future, so what's currently happening in the killing game is in the past. My guess The 16 of them aren't ultimates at all, just normal people who have been given the memories of the 16 ultimates who have died so the mastermind can experience a killing game. Salieri 4,473
I just finished danganronpa v3 just yesterday and well SPOILERS BELOW Chapter 5 and 6 Kodaka you freaking troll... I'm glad my waifu Maki is still alive but chapter 5 end was the perfect conclusion yet in chapter 6 Kodaka trolled the entire fan base of danganronpa, all along we were the ones that are the culprit behind the entire killing game. Kaito's death hurts a lot and I was almost freaking out when Maki cried :( and Ouma..... Seriously a genius plan from him, he's the best character in the game. My birthday's on my profile if you wanted to know and I barely touched nor have the funds for all the 2017 games, I wanted to play this year. Just used my summer holiday to finish off a lot of the games I had on backlog. Link 6,199
So I bought FFXV during the 50% off sale recently on PS4, and finished it tonight. I already knew there were a lot of complaints about the story, but man, wtf was that? I can't believe Square Enix were happy to actually publish the game in such a state. :/ I never played FFXIII, so I'm sure it's at least better than that based on what I've heard, but I finished the game feeling pretty disappointed. Mostly because I could see the blueprints for a pretty decent game underneath the convoluted mess it ended up being. I had to google to understand some of the details, and I'm not sure if I'm more disappointed after understanding everything or when I was slightly lost lol. Hemlock 1,537
i still haven't played FFXV. I had too many negative reactions to announcements and promotions before the game came out. And then the mixed reception the game had when it came out. I'm putting it off because i'd like to give it a fair chance without letting that affect my play. Also i'm already playing Cold Steel 2, with Sky 3rd waiting after that, and i just bought Ys VIII too. So FFXV can wait lol. monochrome. 480
After exam week, I finally had time to finish Chapter 1 of CS3. Started playing around 9 last night and when I finished, it was almost 4 in the morning. lmao whew, that was long. early impressions - the structure is similar to CS1 but things move quickly and there are so much more going on. Things have already escalated into a Kiseki-esque ending madness at the end of the chapter and it's only the first chapter! - the combat is largely the same as ever but it's so much faster now and loading times are not a problem anymore. I love the addition of Brave Order. It adds more strategy, though some of them are a bit OP. lol the free battle camera is awesome! I love putting it overhead or sideways but I wish there was an option to set it there. It just goes back to default after every turn. :( - i like the new characters a lot! At first, I was a bit salty they're there to replace the old class 7! At the same time, I was worried the old class 7's growth into badass senpai's would overshadow the new guys but that's not the case at all! Everyone had their moment to shine. <3 also, the interactions between characters from all three arcs as well as the new and old characters are so interesting and amusing! - I was pleased how much of Sky played in the first chapter. I'm glad I played the Sky games, otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the emotional impact it gave me. Characters from Sky have been name dropped. They were name dropped in CS2 too but I didn't know who they were at the time. - I'm not really a big fan of the Break system. I think it dumbed down the first major boss fight. I usually play in Normal, but we'll see if I'm going have to switch up boss fights to Hard. - other than that, the only other thing i didn't really like is bonding events are back. I'm not really a big fan of "Choose-your-waifu" system in general. Ugh, I guess I'll never get the "further development" I wanted for Laura and Fie since mid CS1. :( Well, I'm still low-key hoping I get a bonding event with Tita though. Next time Rean sees Agate, he can be smug and like, "Sup, Agate? I bonded with your 'little sister' "
Link 6,199
I haven't really touched ffxv since I beat it in 15 hours first run through. 15 hours is fast. I think I put in around 30 hours, but I did do quite a bit of side quests. I bought the premium edition that has the season pass, so I still have to play episode Prompto, episode Gladiolus etc. I can't see myself ever replaying the main campaign, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i still haven't played FFXV. I think mixed would be the best way to describe my feelings, too. My reaction was pretty salty lmao, but there were still a few things I really enjoyed about the game. I loved the banter between the main party. It really endeared me to them. The animations and world are both gorgeous, so I enjoyed just being in the world. There were some aspects of the gameplay that I surprisingly enjoyed a lot too. tsugu 589
opinion on the end? I have mixed feelings about it really. I mean I'm glad that there were survivors since I was quite certain that they were all going to perish at the end, but I was quite confused by what Tsumugi said. She said that the characters in Danganronpa 1 and 2, Hope's Peak Academy and the Remnants of Despair were all fake, but if that's true, what did I watch/read the previous Danganronpa entries for (I hope she was just lying)? Also, I was already kinda pissed at Spike Chunsoft for killing off the female protagonist (Kaede) so early in the game but got even more pissed when I learnt that it was a wrongful death. Hm, but all in all, it's still pretty good with all the plot twists. Edited October 8, 2017 by Buddy x Once

Hm, but all in all, it's still pretty good with all the plot twists. It wasn't 'fake' from what she said, but more of the lines that it was all 'fiction' and that the older 2 games, trigger happy havoc and Goodbye despair were all just written by an author, the killing and deaths, along with the excuations. 2 different things in my opinion. You were just reading what the author wanted you to read, although that could be argued (as well as confirmed) that v3 was fiction, if you played through the final trial and when it offered you the chance to save, than that's one of the endings for the game. Play through the casino games and get the friendship fragments, some of them really adds a lot to the characters and also try out the rpg mode it's quite addictive once you played a few rounds of it.
atreyuavenged 162
I enjoyed FF15. My biggest complaint was the loading times. Speaking of FF13, I constantly feel like I'm the only one that enjoyed it. I played it way back when and when I finally looked online at reviews and stuff, practically everyone else hated it. Hemlock 1,537
I'd appreciate any Cold Steel 3 info to be placed under spoilers. tyvm I enjoyed FF15. My biggest complaint was the loading times. Speaking of FF13, I constantly feel like I'm the only one that enjoyed it. I played it way back when and when I finally looked online at reviews and stuff, practically everyone else hated it. I liked 13 a lot. Sure it has its problems but it was a fun game. The hate i feel like was people not liking the game and then nitpicking everything about it to justify not liking it. Like the game has great music but people said they didn't like it. For a jrpg, it has great voice acting (minus Hope sounding too old and Vanille having a fluctuating australian accent) but people said it sucked. They said the battle system was just mashing X, but in terms of FF difficulty, it's above average because FF is a pretty easy series overall. I understand not liking it but the hate was way overblown. Edited October 8, 2017 by Hemlock
xRibbonsx 1,804
Really want to try gaming later this year but then I already waste tons of time with music and other type of entertainment. I'm assuming gaming might 'eat' too much of my spare time so I gotta be careful not to waste time on a sucky game. My favorite so far have been dating sims.
