i don't doubt how big SSB is but when i think of it i think "party game" and not "fighting game"

there's actually a lot of hidden game mechanics in SSB that are meant to please the competitive crowd.

it's perceived to be just a party game but when you really start to play it SSB has more depth then most of the fighting games out currently.

Brawl was actually poorly received by the competitive community because it was more mainstream and controls weren't as good as in Melee

and brawl was supppeerr unbalanced.

It's kind of like Pokemon, and how it's thought of as just a kid's game

but the competitive scene is huge, and when you start learning about the tiers, stats, and mechanics behind the game it's kinda crazy.

 

 

also Ubisoft was recently hacked.

if you have a UPlay account they're emailing everyone to change their passwords.

some people think it's a viral marketing campaign for WatchDogs haha

I don't disagree that SSB has always been popular and has a dedicated community.

 

But to this day, I just don't feel like the series is what I called a competitive fighting game. Fun, of course but that's as far as I'll go.

 

Maybe there is something that people like about it, and if they think that way, I don't intend to change their mind. Myself, I just see it differently.

Injustice being in there kind of surprises me. I didn't know that it was that well liked. Seems like a reskinned MK9 (yes i know it's the same devs)

just beat Tomb Raider. Great game. 

 

I was worried it was going to be too similar to Uncharted but it wasn't. It is clearly influenced by it but does it's own thing and is a different game. I wish the gunplay was more tighter or refined though. I'd rather use the bow as much as possible anyway just because it's more fun.

I loved the game but I missed out on ONE artefact when I completed the game, which left me with only 99%, when I finally found it, I found out that I had to use a grenade to get it, and they don't regenerate after you've completed the game so I was left with 99% forever and AFSJLDSNBTR KIHJERNVUOIANEDFB

can't you just load up your save and go back to get it? None of the collectibles are supposed to be missable.

I can and did, but to get it, I have to blast through a wall but I'm out of grenades and you don't get any more after you've finished the game, I've tried getting hints through the internet and I kept hearing that, apparently if I buy a DLC map I can get more grenades, but who CBA OTL

that's weird you should be able to find an ammo box somewhere but i'm sure you've tried stuff already. 

 

I don't know if i even want to go back and find all that stuff. I hate collectibles. I missed a few tombs though, i'll go back and do those.

Tales of Xillia 2 is headed to Europe, Namco Bandai announced at the Japan Expo in France this morning. Namco are targeting a 2014 release for the game.

it's no surprise they're bringing Xillia 2 over. I don't know how well Graces F sold but with recent announcements involving Symphonia HD and having Xillia 1 being localized, it was only a matter of time for this announcement. 

 

Also Symphonia will have dual audio. I dislike Tales english dub...

I love Persona 3 to this day and still cry at the ending, but Persona 4 over the years has irritated me more and more the further I look at it.

can i ask what about persona4 makes you feel that way?

 

I personally think p4 is better gameplay wise than p3 in every single way. p3 just has the cool factor with it being a darker story and having the evokers. I don't remember p3's social links enough to compare those in the games.

Oh yeah, Project Diva F 2nd has been announced for PS3 and Vita Spring 2014. That's nice, I suppose. Everyone on Silliconera is super happy and I'm just meh, not that big a fan of Vocaloid.
