How gore-y is Last of Us? I saw one of the trailers and it was a bit much (for me) but I've heard a lot of good things about it in terms of storyline and gameplay.

my friend beat Tomb Raider so that means i can borrow it when i see him again next week, yay! I barely even played Assassins' Creed 3 that i borrowed from him, too boring. Hopefully he'll buy Last of Us so i can borrow that too. I'm such a freeloader

Not much. The only gore-y factor is the blood with every shot you fire at zombies/people. Aside from that, the CGI scenes don't really show the person/zombie getting chopped into pieces.

i hope that God of War thing is fake. It needs to die so Santa Monica can move onto something else. I don't like the games but i just don't like milking a series that result in similar games. Assassin's Creed needs to stop too. 

 

The first game i will be buying in a long time is Hotline Miami when the psn store updates this week. This AAA sequel low risk thing needs to go away with the new gen.

the only valid complaint i've seen people have about the DS3 is that it's too small compared with the 360's. Which i don't have a problem with but i can kind of understand.

I thought I would've cooled down by now over Playstation's pay for multiplayer garbage, but I'm still irritated as hell.

^ I'm not really mad about it because Playstation plus is awesome..it basically gives you discounts/bonuses and lots of good free games, The money goes to improving the online service, and The PS4 is alot cheaper than expected given its hardware.

I picked up Sleeping Dogs a few weeks ago. It was about $20 when I got it.

 

Seriously wished I picked up sooner (I played it at a friends place, but only played an hour of it), because its one of the better free-roaming games out there. A solid combat system, good variety of missions and tasks, and some great gameplay mechanics that other games of its genre should take. The production values are top notch, good voice acting, attention to detail to capturing the look of Hong Kong, having Canto spoken in good amounts, for HK movie fans the fanservice is great.

 

Only complaints would be that vehicle variety will disappoint ( its not bad, but lacks aircraft), and gunplay is not a prevalent (though there are a fair amount of mission with gunplay) compare to other sand-box games which might disappoint others, which is fine because there is a reason for this as its explain in the story.

would you say it's more GTA or Yakuza styled game? Meaning sandboxed focused or story-driven.

 

It would be cool if it was all in canto like how Yakuza is all in japanese but from videos i've seen, it's mostly english.

I haven't play Yakuza yet, so I can't make that comparison. I would say its more akin to GTA atm.

 

And I probably should be more clear on the Canto part. For story missions the dialogue is in English aside from Canto here and there. And the npcs during missions, buying items (like food, clothing,cars) will speak in English. But aside from that, the overall environment is in Canto. Like when you bump into a random npc they'll swear at you in Canto lol

i'm sure my friend didn't sure his code if there is one, but i don't want to use someone else's code. Which is the reason why i have all the plats for Uncharted 1 and 2 but not 3 yet.
