This weekend all I've been playing is nier automata and man oh man. Its fantastic. I'm crazy but 21 hours in three days. 7 hours per day and I've barely scratched the surface. I'm feeling emotional just playing though it and the wtf moments. Ah yoko taro, he's crazy

I just finished my second playthrough of Nier, and man was that a ride. I love how they add enough new things on each playthrough for it to never feel like it's getting repetitive. The combat is insanely fun. Chaining combos and the quick switch between weapons makes this Nier game the most enjoyable one yet. THANK YOU GOD FOR NOT ADDING ANY STAMINA BARS!

Have you checked out the side quest and events? Their bizare to say the least especially

the one with yorha and her friend.... And than romeo and juillet during the stamp collecting quest. Those left me breathless

Omg, yes! Those were pretty great.

I could not stop laughing at the Romeo and Juliet performance. And the Yorha solider, are we talking about the red head in the building?

I just started my third playthrough, and holy shit this intro is so intense. So much going on, I'm feeling so overwhelmed.

it ruined my childhood. I don't think I'll be able to get over that any time soon. And yes the redhead was insane, amnesia side quest. Just why. Than there's the events with the robots losing will, trying to find a purpose just those small details add so much life to it.

 

Have you fought father servo? All his forms.

I haven't fought all his forms yet. I'm on his fourth stage. I just found the blacksmith that was able to level up my weapons to max. Took me forever.

 

What level are you?

fighting him with op weapon o.o. only used my level 3 weapon but hacking him just made it far easier at least for me

I'm using A2 right now. I haven't seen him around yet while playing as her. When I was 9s on my second playthrough. I just turned lvl 40, and he was level 50 at the time, I believe. I'm level 52 now, though.

 

 

Also, I find it super intimidating when I see all these dead android bodies (other players) laying around in relatively safe areas. Makes me anxious for some Goliath level machine coming out of nowhere when I'm not prepared lol.

I beaten it with a level 40, his level 60 was really fun though /: maybe cause I'm on normal?

So play through 3 is A2? That's interesting /:

 

Just what on earth is Yoko Taro on? These side quest alone make me shiver.

Wandering couple side quest. The end to that side quest wtf.... Reformating a android so it can become "stronger" female android are scary.... "The female android was trying to modify the male android's personality to be more to her liking. This is the sixth time she's reformatted him."

My bad didn't mean to spoil that for you. I just assumed since they were all in the cover, it was obvious you'd get to play as her.

 

i always underestimate 9s' hacking skill. It does a ton of damage, I don't know why I didn't think of using it on him when he was on his 4th form. Oh, well! I'm pretty decently powered now. I'm sure I can take him on.

 

Have you started your 3rd playthrough yet?

 

AND HOLY SHIT, YES! That side quest was beyond messed up after all you did, and it turns out she's been wiping his memory the whole time to keep herself safe. I've learned this game is ruthless when it comes to endings. T-T

 

Is aright. I've already spoilt some stuff for myself OTL. Currently all I've been doing are side quest. 48% of it done just last night. I'm currently on

the part after Adam and eve but before you travel back to the hq. Will be continuing it later today or tomorrow.

 

That side boss I was doing 0 damage so I decided to try hacking . Hack the crap out of him and boom dead never underestimate a hacker ability 9s

 

This game gives me so much emotions it messes with you far too much.

 

I've seen the spoiler of trophies but even than I think I'll still be emotional during my two more play through.

Just started third play through of Nier automata and...

got up to choosing between A2 and 9s. Went with A2 first just to get it out of the way (I love 9s) and wtf 2B dies. A2 killed her it hurts so much.

I was completely caught off guard by 2B's death. It was so sad. The 3rd playthrough was probably my favorite.

 

I just finished the game and well......  

It was a great run through and I did enjoy it but maybe i missed it but ending c was just bitter sweet while ending d had me emotionally questioning what was going on from 9S head, his own thoughts about why he is alive and what meaning he has when everything will be restarted and repeated

yep that was really sweet at the end with 2b and 9s being together. Now I just got all trophies thanks goodness for purchasing them

i'm going to get a ps4 sometime next month. What are your guy's game recs? Specifically older games, not all the recent ones from this year.

 

I already know what games i'm interested in but just in case there's something i'm forgetting or don't know. Basically going to get Persona 5 and Bloodborne at first and then catch up on other games afterwards.

Alongside what Noctis Lucis Caelum said. I'd recommended final fantasy type 0, the nornary games (is old but this is just a remaster on ps4), disgaea 5, danganronpa 1, 2 reload (again same with Nornary games), mega dimension Neptunia vii.

Nintendo has finally commented directly on the issue, following the CNET report, and has claimed that the problem is due to a ‘manufacturing variance’ that has now been fixed at the factory level.

 

The full statement is as follows, but basically Nintendo are claiming that new Joy-Cons won’t have the problem (which seems to fit with what CNET found) and that if you do have the issue it can be solved by sending it in to customer support for a quick fix.

 

There is no design issue with the Joy-Con controllers, and no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort is underway. A manufacturing variation has resulted in wireless interference with a small number of the left Joy-Con. Moving forward this will not be an issue, as the manufacturing variation has been addressed and corrected at the factory level.

 

We have determined a simple fix can be made to any affected Joy-Con to improve connectivity.

 

There are other reasons consumers may be experiencing wireless interference. We are asking consumers to contact our customer support team so we can help them determine if a repair is necessary. If it is, consumers can send their controller directly to Nintendo for the adjustment, free of charge, with an anticipated quick return of less than a week. Repair timing may vary by region. For help with any hardware or software questions, please visit http://support.nintendo.com.

Enjoying persona 5, been playing since Monday. Atlus... Not sure what to say but who wants to watch a let's play when people who wants to enjoy it would play the game for themselves. I'm with atlus. Been over 4 years for me waiting for this game. Ps3 version was ever first and I'm pretty sure that console is a lot cheaper these days also have the game and ps4 version was to keep up with latest tech. People knew the game was going to be out for a while now. Besides when you buy a game you pretty much just lending the rights.

You're only looking at it from your own perspective. There are people that don't have money for entertainment. People that can't justify spending money on a game/console over more important essentials even if they could save up for it. There's also the fact that we live in the age of youtube and twitch. The idea that having these available will hurt sales is old thinking and wrong. People can watch a LP or stream and end up buying a game they initially had no interest in. It increases exposure and word of mouth for free. Not everybody know what Persona 5 is. There will be people that take one look at it and dismiss it as "anime bullshit" but watching their favorite youtuber or streamer play it could change that. Having streams and youtube videos are more helpful than it is harmful. 

 

And the last part about rights, you're thinking about how things are instead of how things should be. And that's also more for non-drm free digital games and not physical ones. 

Tell Nintendo that when they actually copyrighted far more than just 'one game' I do understand what you mean but when another massive company does it and people hail Nintendo as the 'best' company is just bull to be honest.  I'm sure Atlus would lift it up like in a month or two time unless they actually follow Nintendo's pattern /:

do you guys use controllers with your steam. ive been looking at both the steam one and xbox controller for hack and slash games. which I will order soon

For steam sometimes when I find a game better suited for it (racing, hack & slash, some jrpg) the xbox one would work well if you are thinking of buying one for it. Though I would say dual shock 4 are better since Microsoft doesn't have the supported drivers any more and with dual shock 4 you have other software for it. Edited April 7, 2017 by Salieri

i thought its the other way around. ive heard that ps4 controllers need 3rd party software to configure macros. windows being microsoft natively supporting their controller out of the box. also on another note i love the steam community where i can just download someone elses key bindings. thanks so much for the advice salieri

Well if you can find the xbox one controller driver than it should be the same, when I was configuration my xbox one I had a bsod when installing it that's my only problem; otherwise both works well when you play games on steam/origin/uplay/battlenet etc.

Also third party of Dualshocks I found work better but that's personally my opinion. 

I'm loving Persona 5 but fucking hell Morgana keeps forcing me to sleep when I have a DVD 3 days past its return

This gaming year for me has been amazing! I feel so blessed Persona 5 and Nier Automata came out on the same year.  These 2 games are already some of my favorite games and I'm not even halfway done with both games lol (like, since it's my first time playing a Drakengard/Nier game, I thought I finished Nier and I was kind of disappointed since I wanted more and there were a lot of unanswered mysteries but then I found out there are 5 total playthroughs to get the whole story... I should have gotten the game earlier so now I have to somehow juggle between the 2 games. x_x).

 

 

I kind of lost my interest in gaming in recent years and I just usually played Overwatch with my brother here and there but I immediately got hooked and addicted as soon as I started playing these 2. Not to mention, the OST in both games are fucking killers. <3 I can't remember the last time I spent this many hours playing games. 

 

 

 

OMFG! I love this game and the sequel too. The game has my favorite random NPCs ever... like, I never cared over a bunch of random NPCs that are irrelevant to the story as much as this one. And I can still remember those heart stabbing and emotional plot twists.  

Nier automata shouldn't take that long to complete after all you're done one ending, while Persona 5 on the other hand will take way over 70 hours of your life xD

 

Spoilers for CSII

You're talking about Crow right for the plot twist and Rean's own father?

Yeah, the other playthroughs should be quicker but I got some of those troll endings since I was messing around too much at the start of playthrough B which then required me starting over again every time I flopped. I didn't even get mad or frustrated about it. Rather, I found it amusing.

 

And I think I'll probably go over 100 hours on my first Persona 5 playthrough since I already have 18 hours and I'm still in the middle of May. lmao

 

CS2 spoilers

 

The ending of CS2 is probably the craziest video game moment I've ever witnessed

 

Yeah. From everything that happened with Crow to the "I am your father"-esque revelation. I felt the same thing Rean did and I really hated the chancellor the moment he showed up since like Crow's efforts was basically all for nothing... but then the whole revelation thing happened... like, who am I supposed to feel? Who are the real enemies?! Who am I supposed to hate?! lmao

 

I wasn't surprised about the C = Crow thing since I've always been suspicious of him in the first game but I was genuinely shocked about the father thing... and I can't believe I was since there were big clues about it throughout the games

 

And to top it all off, they played that ending right away with the main cast and their kiddie pictures, Rean and his father in the snow, Crow staring at the sunset, and the 50 mira

 

And here I thought CSI had a crazy ending but...

CsIi just kills you. Remembered crying for a good ten minutes of crows death. It just hurts and tears me apart

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm currently just under 30 hours and I'm at the beginning of the third dungeon of persona 5

 

 

Lol I literally forgot all about the DVD shop and didn't even watch any and was 20 days overdue for a fee of 20k yen, thank god they waived it

 

I just got CS2 on sale and enjoying it so far, I know you're meant to play the previous entries aswell for the story but I have enough games on my plate rn and the in game summary does an okay job anyway of telling the previous story. The battle system somewhat reminds me of the Neptunia games but 10 times more polished and actually enjoyable

As long as you played the previous cold steel game. You should be good. The older game like the trails in the sky series you should but not needed to enjoy it (I can't get into them :()

And I've just finished the first day of Madarame's Palace, if I realised I had to come back to the real world halfway through I wouldn't have used those SP restoring items
