Salieri 4,473
IDK if i want to play Nier automata i don't like very futuristic stuff The demo is out for PS4 if you want to try it out, it's pretty much androids serving humanity, that's just the futuristic part of it. If you enjoy Platinum games if not just get it cheaper/ignore it xD. ok i defo need this 6 days for America launch and 9 days for PAL regions. Mess, I have Tearaway unopened, what a waste of money TT. NieR looks so good, can't wait for next week I've always been debating to buy it but I'm so glad it is going on PS+ though it's pretty rare to see Sony giving LBP3 and Tearaway in the period of 2 months. But than the inides.....

Salieri 4,473
This is what haters say lmao, you could say the same for literally any AAA game review in that case. If there's one thing Nintendo are good for, it's that they have always delivered with their IPs. In a time where lots of critics and reviewers give low scores just to be edgy and snobby for clicks and controversy, this is definitely impressive. Obviously 10/10 scores are questionable since there's always something that can be improved upon, but you can already tell this game is going to live up to the hype from the trailer alone. True though the Switch only has one good game until the summer, who's excited for one two switch O.o? Though I don't know about delivering, especially apparently star fox wasn't "good" I won't judge the game until I play it, otherwise reviews and trailers are nothing but hype trains that will always keep going due to reviews being biased and not even worthy to be conveying opinions. You know if you will enjoy it if you play it. Games that get 9 or above will always be a grain of salt since scores aren't everything. Saying this when you haven't even played the game makes you seem pretty salty. How do you know the reviews aren't deserved? Because reviews these days are bull when so many people can do it, it's really questionable since it's their biggest game that their launching their system with and hence why it's even more iffy to be convey by it. Does Zelda ever not get overwhelmingly positive reviews? It's like saying Pokémon is still the best and most creative game ever cause of all the good reviews. I don't think it's impressive to say Zelda lives up to the hype when the hype never changes. I know there are some bad zelda games but more or less they always get high praises from their fans and people that play + enjoy it.
Salieri 4,473
The fact that so many people publish game reviews now is the reason why it's so hard for games to crack above 93 this gen... It doesn't mean they get higher reviews. There are that many more websites that can give a game a low score just to get clicks and traffic. Back in the day it was all just reputable magazines and websites. The fact that a game, in this day and age of harsher reviews, is getting unanimous praise means the game is most likely a once in a generation kind of game. A lot of gaming websites are less prone to give games 10s, starting from the end of last generation. GTAV is almost unanimously considered to be a much better game than GTAIV, yet it is sitting lower on metacritic. Like I said, the last game to get a 98 was in 2008. Only Ocarina of Time managed to get a 99, yet that was in a completely different era (it only has like 22 reviews compared to BotW's 60+). There's a reason the series has as much acclaim as it does. It has innovated mechanics that are still in use till this day, with lock on targeting being one of them. Even the very first game in the series innovated in ways that no game before it had and were adopted by other games that came after it. BotW is said to have departed greatly from the formula of previous games, yet still has the same charm and essence that makes it feel distinctly like a Zelda game. And no matter what people say about Nintendo's relevance in this day and age, they still house some of the best video game developers in the world. A sizeable chunk of them worked on this game for over 6 years. This is Nintendo's biggest game, ever. A lot of reviewers feel like this could be their best game yet. It's unfair to just dismiss the reviews as 'paid', without even experiencing the game yourself. If Nintendo stop whoring out people than possibly fans outside might even have a chance to play it. For games that came out so long ago they still sell for a prem and it's going to be the same for BOTW and any new Switch/3ds/wii u games. honestly there's a massive fan base of Zelda and it's true that it's harder to get a good rating these days your points are valid. It might be their 'biggest game ever' but forking over 300+ just for a game and that's it really O.O when did our economy even become this rich to even spend so much money for a console and a game. The switch is pretty much a Zelda machine right now and only people that are fans (like many of the others from the reviewing place) have had their fair share of experience, Hell we don't even know if there's even any problem like the wii u game pad for instance. Nintendo doesn't need to pay people to give Zelda high scores because they have so many fanboys that will give it high scores regardless. Half joking and half not at the same time lol. Obviously there are people that love the series but are able to see any faults it might have. But let's be real here, Nintendo has a very loyal and passionate fanbase who will love the game no matter what. They are also buying a Switch just for this game. $300 for the system, $60 for the game, and probably also $70 for a pro controller + tax. That's $450+ people are spending just to play this game. It's very possible that the amount of money invested into it will affect how they feel about the game and they might like it more so they feel better about their purchase. I have never beaten a Zelda game. The series doesn't really interest me. I beat 3 dungeons in LTTP and that's the most i've ever gotten in a Zelda game. I tried playing OOT but i do not forgive old games for old mechanics/controls and I had a hard time playing that game. This new one is the most interested i've been in a Zelda game. But at the same time its fans go crazy over the trailers and i'm like, there's been crafting and climbing in games for a decade, what you freaking out about... That's called buyers mentality, forking over so much money buying the biggest game for the console and just using psychology to play the role of 'did I use the money wisely' Nintendo has actually been able to use it just to their own advantage for mostly their biggest Zelda fans. I really don't see any other reasons why anyone would pick up the switch until much later to be honest. Their stock prices even dropped from it all. Salieri 4,473
i feel attacked by the ones with their plats in their signature i barely have 3 and you guys have a lot lol I barely even attempt for plants these days but welp ... Lol xD Stocks mean nothing really though. Proven by Nintendo stocks shooting up when Pokemon Go came out and then immediately dropped when people found out Nintendo only gets a fraction of the profits. It's all based off predictions and fears. More about perceived image than actual value it seems like. But yea i have a lot of problems with Nintendo. It's understandable that they have their fans and supporters, but i do think their fans let nintendo get away with too much. Nintendo abuses their fans honestly. From saying they will continue supporting systems when they actually aren't. To taking money made from other people's youtube videos featuring nintendo games and acting like they are good guys by giving a percentage of the money to the content creator if they sign up for their program. They may make games people love but please do not just let their bullshit slide. Stocks matter a lot too investors but with the way its going. Nintendo is just playing with them. I wouldn't be surprise if people just ignore it later on the lines. I'm just hoping the 3ds isn't going to be the next victim since the switch is a hybrid. I know homebrewing was much easier on the wii u due too lack of support. Just look at Sony despite the vita "dying" their still updating their system. Making it at least more secure compare to Nintendo attempt. Not too mention games being release for the wii u. There's not much compared too again Sony who relies mostly on third party games over in Japan too be ported and localised in the west I have a love and hate relationship with Nintendo. Really enjoy their games yet what they do is unacceptable. Don't understand why such a company have such dark intention despite being aimed mostly at families. Salieri 4,473
They said they're going to keep supporting 3ds even with the Switch out. Nobody believes them of course because they said the same thing for the gba when the ds came out. It's kinda scummy and irresponsible to just say shit and not mean it. And for what? A few more units sold of an old system? Obviously no one will believe them. Though the new 3ds was actually pretty new so having Nintendo say goodbye too it really kills for those still wanting to play Nintendo games on the ds (even though their still heavy on cost). I wouldn't be surprise if there's a 3ds emulator on android/ios in the near future due too Nintendo not providing support for it. Salieri 4,473
Just finish my first play through of nier automata... god damn. That fast o.o. just how short is the game and first impressions? I'm loving the game so far. It's so polished. Combat is super fun! Horizon is incredible. You really should give it a chance. The gameplay is pretty amazing. I mean, killing robotic animals and Dinos is insanely fun and rewarding. The story itself isn't presented in the greatest way, but it's very fulfilling unlike some other open world games. The graphics, I think you can tell for yourself how great they look. If you're really not interested in getting the game now, wait till it's cheaper to try it out. Just get it, you won't regret it. The only problem I find is that I didn't like killzone so I'm sceptical about horizon. I'll get it later down the line. Sony games tend to come down in half a year so I'll pick it up then
Salieri 4,473
The first play through took me 10 hours, though there's 9s's story to play through and A2's story to play through. So far it's really good. The story got real emotional towards the end. It's one of the few games that I've played that doesn't make you feel for the 'enimies'3 stories o.o wow. I heard there's a lot of endings (than again what Yoko Taro game doesn't have that?) "Doesn't make you feel for the enemy?" ? I'm still jealous America gets it first. These reviews are killing me :( comparing the demo ending to the emotional part (that you mention) how does it compare? Cause that scene just hurts. Salieri 4,473
Ok so I'm playing Nier Automata right now (around 3 hours) my impression of it, is I'm liking it so far, not sure but I seen some noticeable FPS drops (though I did hear some reviewers saying it) but the combat been great. I died once but that was my own fault. Question (spoilers maybe) I see level 20 to 21 already, I can kill them without any problem but I'm only level 11 so I don't know what going on. I'm far too under levelled to be fighting such enemies yet I did? Than again I did see an enemy boss that is level 3/5 so I'm just confused what's going on with the enemies levels. Salieri 4,473
there are some high level enemies that aren't too hard to kill. I took down a lv 25 at 11. There's a side quest where the enemies are like 30-32 and I was 16 at the time I did that quest. You'll pretty much only be encountering over leveled enemies through random encounters. The storyline enemies will probably be 1-3 levels higher than you at most I saw a level 25 when I was going through the story and I was only level 17 so I don't know what happened there. But it felt good killing a level 35, 32 and another 32 when I was just level 16 (side quest). Any tips on the game? Just saw A2 at the jungle and got up to the Flooded city. Oh and I've done around 20+ % of android quest and 15 % of the robots. Should I be attempting these side quest at this level?
Salieri 4,473
I'd probably do a few side quests at this point before you go.further in the story. I was about 20-21 after the flooded city. Just done it. It was a bit confusing. Thank goodness for 30+ Mid health packs. I want to try and get all the side quest I can do before getting first ending. Ending A done. That hurts. The ending. Stupid 9s making me cry. Man being corrupted just why.... OPM scribe Jen Simpkins concludes, “Whether you’re a series fan, a JRPG evangelist or a total turn-based newcomer, this is an essential play. Persona 5 is packed with stuff to do, expertly put together and exquisite to the last pixel. An unabashed masterpiece.†Persona 5 has been a long time coming, with the game originally scheduled for a release in fall 2014.
