Salieri 4,473
Falcom is having a meeting or something right now and a few things have been announced already. Ys VIII (Ys Lacrimosa of Dana) is getting a ps4 version on May 2017. Cold Steel 3 confirmed ps4 only and coming out in 2017 also. These are japanese dates. Cold Steel 3 has a website now with some screenshots: http://www.falcom.com/sen3/ those pictures of Sen 3. I am guessing we will be getting CS3 in the West by 2018. But man those image's are hyping me up. Wondering how they will add the story though. Still not over CS2 especially what happened. Also ps4 exclusive. Hmm. Unsure how to think about that. I'm planning on picking more Falcon titles after I'm done with trails in the sky FC & SC, Is the YS any good? Salieri 4,473
The president of the company said the reason it's a ps4 exclusive is to get better international sales. So i guess it's not financially viable to put out multiple versions. Ys is very good. I've only actually beaten Ys 7 though. Halfway through Ys Oath in Felghana. Normal fights might not be anything special but the series is all about the boss fights and the awesome soundtracks. Boss fights are all about learning patterns and figuring out the boss. They can be hard games but fun. They go on sale on steam fairly often. There's something i want to ask about Cold Steel 2 but i don't want to spoil in case it didn't happen lol. Guess I'll have to crouch play it. Sigh such a pity when Persona 5 isn't on Vita and CS3 won't be on Vita. But it's good because it won't be held back. The only thing which is holding me back on getting ys, is I prefer it to be on Vita i saw the original and 1 & 2 on it. Not sure where the best place to start from tho. You can always pm me if you want to know. But it's a spoiler so just be warned in case. Edited December 20, 2016 by Neo Galaxy
Salieri 4,473
You can start anywhere really. You play those games for the gameplay and not the story and there's barely any story anyway. Origins or Oath are fine places to start. I started with 7 and liked it a lot because it has a party system instead of just you by yourself. Memories of Celceta has the same party system too. 1+2 are a little weird. There's no attack button. You attack by running into the enemies. I meant it might be a spoiler for you. The thing i want to ask about for Cold Steel 2 kinda spoils SC. If that's the case then i would have already known about it. Hmmm i know I already spoiled a lot by playing CS 1&2 As for ys. Don't think I'll be getting it. Not really a fan of games with gameplay focused since I prefer to dive into a game with a nice story. Guess I'll just wait for Sky 3 and CS3 though. Salieri 4,473
I don't know if what i'm wondering about actually happens or reveals itself in CS2 or not is the problem haha. It's fine. Just something i'm curious about but i'll find out myself eventually. Just don't have the money for games atm. Yea they're not worth playing for the story. I love the music though and the OSTs are worth checking out~ OK than hehehe could always google it tho The songs they have in their games truly are amazing, I like the YS songs you shared hehe thanks you Might just listen to the ost more than actually playing the games. Credit: uploader DAM I need this game. There's a Japanese demo up in the Japanese PSN store right now, wondering if I should play that but I have no knowledge in Japanese Just know the basic but thats about it. I can't seek into the realm of despair with that

Just played it twice actually (once on normal beaten it and hard died :() , goodness I am speechless about that demo. Salieri 4,473
If we take into consideration what metal gear was and the transformer game by Platinum. I'm pretty sure the gameplay will be on par with Nier. As for the story the demo really took me by surprise of just how the world work in it where most people are military solider yet the demo at the end showed some sort of humanoid emotion bring played. RPG story wise i doubt it'll be as good but mostly for the gameplay would be what I'm expecting the game to be shaped like. I want to try and beat the demo on the hardest difficulty. By than I won't be satisfied until i do so. As for the OST hmmm. Oh and can we take a moment to just thank God for those lips of 2b *.* *.* Edited December 23, 2016 by Salieri
Salieri 4,473
It made me want to pre-order, too. But I am preventing myself from pre-ordering games nowadays, unless I know the game (or special edition) will be sold out and I really want it. I haven't played NieR on PS3, so I can't really compare, but I did sense that the plot was an important aspect of the game from the demo. I don't have much game's to look forward to next year so I'm just trying to get as much preorder right now. Desktop game I'm mostly playing is though my Steam library and going to be picking up walking dead the new one when it goes on steam sale but that's about it. Only game I'm hyped for on ps4 is Persona 5 and Cold steel 3 (which i know won't get a western release until later 2017 or even 2018), and then the kingdom hearts remastered. Won't be looking forward to mass effect until much later in the year due to EA being a mess with PC (so getting it on sale in 6 months after the release) and Danganronpa v3 which I'm dying to play. As for the switch I'm actually thinking of getting it when i see the price has matured (just like the wii u. So possibly a year or two after).I'll get trails in the sky 3 if that ever comes out. Salieri 4,473
Oh yeah. I almost forgot about the anime. I actually just beat Gravity Rush Remastered a week or so ago, so it's still fresh in my mind. Btw I got Overwatch today, so we can play together if you want. I'm still a noob, though. :P And tbh I checked the price for the sale on FFXV, and I can get the physical version for just like 2 or 3 pounds more, so I think I'll just wait on the patch like I was going to. It'll probably go down further in price by the time they're done patching it, anyway. Yeah, I just feel like pre-ordering a game before I've seen the reviews and impressions is a bad habit. ;P And I've been disappointed a couple of times, too. There are certain games where I absolutely need to buy it day 1, or I desperately want the special edition, so I will make exceptions for them. I have the same problem when buying games on desktop, so many ports are so terrible despite it being called 'optimised' so I never will preorder games for them knowing how *cough Batman, Dishonured 2 PES *cough cough* were, batman was the last game I preordered and will never do so again for PC as for PS4 most games are up there at least if Sony has some control over the operation making it PS4 exclusive for the time being. I just saw Nier on Amazon going for about £41 and that was cheaper than a new triple A PS4 game EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8Cuem5SaJ0&index=2&list=WL MAN Kingdom hearts Edited December 23, 2016 by Salieri
Salieri 4,473
Just finish Steins gate 0. Got my eighth Platinum. Honestly I prefer Steins gate over 0 but 0 was so much darker and full of the despair i wanted but the whole game felt really out of the place. I actually wanted more due to the true ending being just ..... :( Hmm. Salieri 4,473
Another reason I don't pre order much these days is because I have such a big back log that games are usually much cheaper by the time I get to them. This doesn't apply to smaller obscure games, though. I guess plus if you change your hard drive of the PS4 I'm pretty sure you can save a few more buck for your bang. Playstation always have sales for their games online. Though Nintendo games never decrease in price due to their products being a premium and they know that every game they sell would make them profit no matter how much demand there is

Still it filled out the missing blanks I had after beating it, so I guess that covers it. Steins;gate is still better than Steins;gate 0 though but both are amazing stories i would recommended anyone to play through it.
Salieri 4,473
Still bitter about RE7 gonna be first person POV. Not just that, but with a new character without any relation to previous character or Umbrella corp. I'm not against the idea, but I think it should be for side title, while the main title keep the story about Leon cs vs Umbrella. They better bring a progress with RE story, and don't they ever dare to become another Silent Hill, which a lot of people feel from the demo. I think their trying to make or recreate PT at least that's what I got from the demo although not as scary
Salieri 4,473
January 2017 PlayStation Plus Lineup: PS4 Day of the Tentacle Remastered The Swindle This War of Mine: The Little Ones Titan Souls PS3 Blazerush The Swindle PS Vita Azkend 2 Day of the Tentacle Remastered The Swindle Titan Soul Source: gamespot I finished The Last Guardian last night. ;-; I really wish I had someone to discuss with. I have so many thoughts about the game as a whole that I'd love to share. I'll put some of my thoughts in a spoiler, even though they don't spoil any story elements (or anything much really). The game was honestly one of the most emotional and exhilarating games that I have played, despite a few technical rough patches (like the camera). There were quite a few puzzles that I thought were very clever, even if simple. And a lot of the set pieces were just breathtaking. I'm not sure how they thought they could get this game running on a PS3. The scale is just so immense and ambitious. But my favourite thing about the game was seeing the bond between the boy and this beast develop. It was unlike anything else I've experienced in a game. I don't think this is something that you can truly grasp until you play the game yourself. The animation and detail on Trico was one of the things that amazed me most. This includes his behaviour. He's definitely the most realistic animal AI I have come across. There will be times where he is confused and doesn't know how to accomplish what you want him to do, and I felt like that was part of the puzzle. Instead of spamming the same commands, I thought of a different way to make him understand what I wanted him to do. I also like that the game incorporates Trico's behaviour and moods into the gameplay elements. I never struggled with Trico like I've heard some people do (which honestly worried me going into the game). If you treat him like an animal and try to understand him, he's pretty easy to instruct. As for the story, it isn't given to you entirely, like other Team Ico games. You have to piece together some details, and it adds to the mysteriousness of the games. I kind of liked thinking about the implication of certain things once the game ended. All in all, I really loved it. It will definitely be a game I remember for years and years to come, and replay numerous times. No, but I was thinking of buying it during the sale. I have heard good things about it. I've been debating to get last guardian I see it for cheap at £25 but I've been having so much debate about getting it due to the gamplay and bugs. Is it really that good? Salieri 4,473
Definitely. I've been thinking about it non-stop since finishing it. And tbh I have an OG PS4, and the framerate was only spotty like three or four times through out my 10+ hours of playing. It's not a constant issue. If you appreciate Team Ico's style of games, TLG will be right up your alley. The bond you develop with Trico is something that can only be experienced when playing, and there are so many more merits to the game than just that. Edit: Also, if you need any general tips going into the game (not spoilerish ones), let me know. How about the time when Trico doesn't respond to you? That's like some of the critics main complaint about the game, I know a lot of people say it's aright but than there a few that really complains about it. I just wished it was on pc that way mods can be used to help with the experience hmm I'll get it once I'm done with Pokemon Sun since that's like my main game right now unless my dad decides to get it himself (I know he's been wanting to get it for a while now)

Salieri 4,473
I don't think I can buy much games atm. I'm gonna try and save up for the Switch at launch. I want to play the better version of Zelda BOTW (also looking forward to other launch window games). Thankfully I have a huge backlog of games to last me for a few months. On the bright side, the games I miss/missed out on will be cheaper by the time I get around to them. By any chance are you keeping on track with the information about the switch? I'm wondering about the launch price when it comes out in the UK, since Pokemon stars has been leaked a few times (I'm dying for Game freak and Nintendo to announce it)
Salieri 4,473
GAME UK are taking in-store pre-orders for £199 (without a bundle). The insider rumours are also that it will be sold for £199 for the base unit, and £249 when bundled with a game. The livestream Switch event is next Thursday (4am Friday morning for us), so we'll know for sure in a week. Btw there are rumours that Zelda will be delayed a month or two in Europe, and I'm dying inside and panicking. Apparently Switch will be region free, so importing is an option, but I don't want to deal with that. £250 seems reasonable considering the wii u was near that price when it first came out (I think). Looks like I'll be doing an all nighter just for the stream. The switch being region free? Is there any sources to back this up? I'm not one to judge about a console being region free or not but even back in the N64 days it wasn't region free. So this is interesting if it is proven to be true. More Japanese games to import from Japan which won't come to the west due to 'legal reasons' Zelda keeps being delayed that really isn't surprising seeing how it was delayed last year and even the year before. Salieri 4,473
Scalebound cancelled. Salieri 4,473
By the time Microsoft's gets their act together Sony is going to be the monopoly of the market and people will be purchasing their game for the premium pricing just like Nintendo $60 or $70 us dollars for the game (new and old) Not the customer fault but Microsoft have been losing market share for about three years now. Keep this up and there won't be a need to even buy Xbox games just get a desktop and it would be far superior than Xbox one Scorpio. Sony ps4 for the console gamers Nintendo switch for the casuals Microsoft with PC for those wanting better performance or xbox but is there any point than to just build your own desktop and be cheaper then the Xbox in the long run? And reason why almost all Xbox games are broken is because Microsoft and their developers want to use PC as their main rig than to build around the Xbox unlike Sony with their ps4. I just want a PS vita 2 or a brand new handheld from Nintendo. Well looks like the Xbox one is going to be hurt a lot with halo wars 2 requirements. Salieri 4,473
Doubtful. Halo is a lot like CoD. Its that game that all the dudebros who play videogames like to play and those dudes all play console. What kind of PC gamer is getting all worked up for Halo?Considering this is a strategy game which plays a lot better with mouse and keyboard than actual controller. Halo is so much better then CoD though. Is pretty much what Microsoft like to milk to get their maximum profit. Halo on PC just like combat evolved would really be good. The good old past. Well the GPU of the Xbox one is equal to the 7770 or around the 7780 so specs wise I'm wondering how close is the Xbox being pushed for the game.
