have you ever think kpop fans were in for music?

the shallowness in kpop fandoms is no joke,i feel weird when i go to kpop threads cuz 99.9% of ppl there just talk about relevances,cf's,beauty...etc.

actually very few stans appreciate the artwork and see it in a platonic way.

music is art,you have to feel it,

when singing your voice has to merge with the music and your body has to harmonize with it perfectly so it can be a master piece...styling adds alot to the atmosphere so that one can feel the touch of art.but kpop fans just overlook it all and we can see that the actually talented members are the least popular, for example,

when fans have an arguments,

they be like "my bae is relevance s/he has cf deals, dramas and movies appeariance that your fav will always dream of bla bla,at least s/he isn't a plastic surgery monster bla bla bla"...k so what does this has to do with being a singer/dancer? nothing.

i can't deny the fact that most idols just suck up to their names,

they just act cutly/adorably, master the art of winking to milk money out of you.i think that more than half of the trainees just join the company with maybe 20-30 % musical interest.

being an art student my self i feel like it's just plain shallow and somewhat funny when i see fans bashing/fanwars.

I like k-pop for the music, but it's not like the idols have anything to do with that. Their job is to sell themselves in any way they can, so their looks and charisma are just as relevant as their singing skill. They all sound the same and more or less in tune after production anyway.

I'd be happy to discuss composition, but as long as we're talking about idols, how cute and pretty they are is not at all less interesting than their musicality.

No. I've always knew most kpop fans were into looks and appearances more than music and talent. I mean, just look at the comparison threads. There are vs thread about who's more handsom, who is more pretty , who sells more ,who's more popular, photoshoot appreciation threads in the celebrity photos section than there are of talent or music in the music section.

Its human nature. Most people like to see whats on the surface value, reputation, than whats on the inside.

i sort of am, i guess? this is kind of an unpopular opinion, but i feel like kpop has a bit more variety than american music, for me. the only american/non kpop music i listen to is alternative, and not the semi-annoying pop songs that i hear on the radio.

but then again, i like kpop also because it has dancing, awesome merch/albums, and the girls are cute. LOL
