Sorry to quote you again but it does seem like they're not attending Inkigayo this week. I just checked this tweet and saw aespa was not mentioned. They're likely starting promotions next week - I assume from Music Bank. However, I don't think everything else I've said previously is wrong. But yeah, you don't have to attend Show Champion in order to be eligible to win. Attending, of course, can give you broadcast points. Often that's useful for determining in a situation — where you have two (or more) nominees whose scores are predicted to be very close — the winner. The Show is the only music show that requires for you to attend in order to collect your trophy. To be eligible for M Countdown, the song you want nominated has to be promoted on any music broadcast before on the week it has been nominated (e.g. Week 1 - promotion; Week 2 - nomination). Some winning songs on Show Champion have also not been performed on that show. But usually fans still vote for the songs because sometimes the winning artists (usually, informed ahead of time) will provide video messages with their prepared winning speech; often to thank fans for their support.
