So, I was wondering why Lee Taehwan did not use Han Jaehee as his pseudonym like the others... I think they had some last minute changes before they debut in Afterschool Bokbulbok. Maybe they think Lee Taehwan sounds better? (Or maybe because it coincided with Innocent Man.. Afterschool Bokbulbok was aired during the time Innocent Man was aired. Park SiYeon's name is Han Jaehee. Maybe they thought it sounded too girly?)

His real name is actually Lee TaeHwan, I wonder why did they use Han JaeHee as his character's name in After School Bokbulbok tho, they changed both TaeHwan & TaeOh names, and they kept real names for the other 3 members~ 

I don't think It has smth to do with Nice Guy tho .. Idk !!~

 

All of the members do not use their real names.

 

Yoo Il (Park Sang-il)

Seo KangJoon (Lee Seunghwan)

Gong Myung (Kim Donghyun)

Kang TaeOh (Kim Yoonhwan)

 

But Lee Taehwan uses his real name. So, I think, maybe, he's supposed to used Han Jaehee but the agency or himself decided to forgo with it... In the case of TaeOh, I think Taepoong was used as a pun since his character season 1 was a funny one.

 

However, I can't imagine calling Lee Taehwan as Han Jaehee. Or the other members using their real name. =.=

OMG same, I can't imagine myself calling 5URPRISE by their real names excluding YooIl bcs I knew him way before as SangIl, but the other ones, I just can't lol, since KangJoon is My UB, I'm trying to call him from to time SeungHwan but still It's #Cringeworthy, TaeHwan's name is beautiful so they didn't have to change it, TaeOh & Myung real names are kind of hard to memorize, I think that's why they changed it~~

Me too. I find Gong Myung's and TaeOh's names as tongue twisters... But you'll get to adapt with it after some time.

 

Anyway, do you know the activities of each members? Myung and Kangjoon's doing Hwajung. Is Yoo Il still with the musical? How about Taehwan and TaeOh?

 

I'm not a huge fan of 5urprise, but I've seen them act. I kind of fancy TaeOh and Gong Myung too since debut. But not as you do with Kangjoon. However, I browsed Myung's IG last night and saw this...

I'm a huge Yoochun fan... and I've liked him with long hair.

When I saw Myung with long hair (But not that long), it was as if he had the same aura as chun's before...

 

Now, I'm a total fangirl of Gong Myung! (But I don't like his hair in Hwajung. And he's still handsome with his new hairstyle now.)

I'm a huge fan of 5URPRISE, I've been staning 'em since their Drama~toon first dropped and kept on supporting 'em all the way long, My Bias is KangJoon but overall, I devote equal love to each one of 'em, they're such worth-staning peeps, yet they're total Dorks, and funny on their own *^*

 

Myung & KangJoon are still fiming 'Hwajung' I believe, anyways I wish Myung will get a Role soon bcs he deserves it, he has shown a good performance in 'Hwajung' and honestly speaking here, he was way better than KangJoon imo ;;

 

TaeOh is done with filming 'Flower of the Queen' .. and he's now promoting his Vietnamese Drama 'Forever Young' in Korea (It hit huge in Vietnam and he has even taken awards there, his popularity there is no joke, I can tell he's more popular than KangJoon in Vietnam) 

 

TaeHwan finished filming his Chinese Drama weeks ago and he's now back to Korea, his Chinese Drama will air soon, I guess he's planing to comeback to the Korean TV soon, maybe he's just looking for the proper Drama and Role~

 

YooIl is done with his Musical, a few weeks ago, I don't know what he's planing for nowadays, He updated his IG and he said he was learning Japanese, maybe I said maybe he'd have some activities in Japan, I've always thought that Fantagio will promote him in Japan since he's an Actor/Singer, I wish if It's the case tbh ;;

Do you know where I can watch Forever Young with English Subs?

 

Actors do not get popular fast like idols. They need a *click*snap of thumb* drama that would make their mark in the industry. But They have more freedom than idols.

 

I don't watch hwajung because it's a period drama. I don't like very long dramas.

But maybe I'll watch it when I get to have a break from school.

 

BTW, i noticed that Kangjoon rarely smile. But when he smile, it's totally WOW. Well, he is an AB. I just suddenly remembered you made a post of Hani and Kangjoon looking so much a like.. Now, I also remembered that Hani is an AB. WOAH.

 

Anyway, regarding their heights... Whenever I see Kangjoon and Gong Myung, I always think that they're not that tall.. But then, I saw Myung with just a shirt and shorts, I see that he really is tall... But not for Kangjun. Something about his features maybe... And I always think TaeOh was tall, although I know he is the shortest... Something's wrong with my eyes. lol.. it's making illusions... haha

KangJoon & Myung are both 183cm tall, Myung looks taller bcs he got broad shoulders, and his legs look tall as well, He works out a lot, he used to be a Taekwondo Player, KangJoon, he looks tall imo xD

 

 

 

 

TaeOh & YooIl aren't that short if we compared 'em to Koreans' average height, but when they stand beside the other 3 members, they look shorty and small xD .. TaeOh doesn't look short, but YooIl does~~

KangJoon rarely smiles bcs he's aware of the fact his smile is too creepy .. His smile is the creepiest tbh, I guess I'm the only one who thinks so lol but srsly he shouldn't smile like at all xDD

I approve, tbh I want 'em to succeed as Actors, all of 'em .. The 5 of 'em have enough potential to prove themselves in the Acting Industry, YooIl even excels this level, he can prove himself in the Music Industry as well, he got such a beautiful decent voice, yet he's a good dancer, well, expected since he was going to debut in a group named R-EAL which was supposed to debut arounf 2008-2009, but sadly, they disbanded right before their debut due to some problems with their company, then he went for Modelling as an Ulzzang, he has suffered lots, overcame various hardships, in order to achieve his dreams, unfortunately, he ended up being the least known member in 5URPRISE despite being the Leader, he deserves much LOVE & RECOGNITION, he deserves to shine and hit huge, as a Singer, Actor, Musicals Performer, I don't mind it as long as he'll prove himself in smth, he's truly TALENTED !!~ 

I got all emotional talking abt Leader~nim here LOLs, I'm praying for him every day, always wishing him a brighter future ..

Now I see it... Thanks to the pics! Kangjoon really is tall.

Maybe it's because Kangjoon doesn't usually wear clothes that complement his height (From what I've seen in roommate). And Maybe because he's always around tall people (both girls and boys) that's why I don't see him that tall. But now, I need to condition my mind and really think he is tall.

 

The Maknae is too tall! LOL... *I'm thinking now of Sanha with Jinwoo..*

R-EAL were really popular back then, they didn't get to debut but had a quite big fanbase, people compared 'em to TVXQ back then so yeh u can see how much potential they had .. but again, matter of Companies ._.

Actually, YooIl is the Leader, when the Boys first debuted, everyone thought KangJoon was the Leader based on 'After School bokbulbok' since KangJoon was the Leader of his Squad, but as a group, as 5URPRISE, YooIl is the Leader, I myself thought KangJoon is the leader when I first get to know 'em, but if you watched their vids and so, you'll realize that YooIl is the Leader~

I've seen that Happy together episode. It was funny. But I did wish back then that he would dance for real there. I know he can dance since Fantagio trained him... But all he did was that funny dance. haha

 

So that's why I've heard of R-eal! They were said to be the next Dongbang.. I'm a huge DBSK fan back in the days.. before the breakup. But Oh well. But what happened to their fans?! they should've supported Yoo Il... (Maybe the fans grew much older already and have gone to college and stuff...)

 

I think Yoo Il fits to be the leader. Aside from his age, his voice is the best among 5urprise. Well, 5urprise can usually do group activities when they do idol perfs... Acting is usually done solo.. Unless all 5 of them are in a drama like the afterschool bokbulbok.

TaeHwan & Myung are better Actors than him, I'm not saying he's not good, but still, these two are the best when It comes to acting in 5URPRISE, then there is KangJoon, TaeOh & YooIl didn't get enough Dramas so I can't judge 'em properly~~

And on a separate note, I've never considered him as the most handsome member tbh, yes he's the visual but who said I approve lol, ngl but TaeHwan is the most handsome one, he's surely a walking sculpture, YooIl is prettier, and Myung is much more handsome and cute than him, TaeOh is manlier~~ (( I'm not a Delulu fan who claims her Bias is perfect xpp ))

 

Sanha would grow much and much taller, I'm pretty sure he'd be the tallest soon and surpass Dongmin HAHA ;;

Actually, he might become as tall as TaeHwan, I mean he's only 15 years old yet he's 181cm, he stills have time to grow taller, and ofc get more mature, and technically get muscles as TaeHwan XD~ but for now, He's such a cutie lil squishy edible pie *^*

Hi!! I'm new to 5urprise but gongmyung is my bias already. 

 

Actually i started to watch hwajung because of kangjoon. And i got to know gongmyung after.

i didn't know they both are in the same group.Then i started to watch after school lucky or not.

Quite shocked at first because they all are so good at acting and the drama itself is so horny funny XD, didn't expect to an idol group to do that kind of things. But i love it, they just cutely ruined their idol images in the drama. Hopefully there'll be next season after this.

 

I have listened to their song, 'from my heart' and its quite good. Though the members's vocals are not as good as yooil, they have potentials to be great singers on my opinion.

doyoung's real name is kim dongyoung and myung's real name is kim donghyeon. And myung also revealed that he has a younger brother in an interview before. I dont know this is legit or not but that what's k-fans talked about.

tbh i dont see the resemblances but if its true, blessed the genes, both are cuties

I don't know doyoung... so I searched... OMG... he looks like Myung! But a thinner myung...

But as soon as the scene started, I saw the back of the guy and said out loud, "Is that Kang Tae Oh?" "Kang Tae Oh??" *still dancing is shown* "Kang Tae Oh?!?!" and then, zoom to face of the guy.... "KANG TAE OooooooH!!!!!!"

 

I didn't know that he would be cameoing in this drama... But I'm glad I was able to know guess who he was even before they showed his face... (I wonder how... oh well..)...
