xLeeChaex 46
Ok i wanna ask an opinion from some of you guys about college and job resume lol I went to a creative club in my college for the first time since it just started and its like an art club lol They have offered me to be an officer for their club, they had 4 open positions and they told me i dont have to do it but they have told me it looks good on a job resume. i was thinking about joining in to be a vice president or maybe a secretary from what they offered but i dont want to overload myself tbh. i have a job right now working in a fast food place, about working only once to twice a week, not alot of hours and im only taking two classes which are pretty easy Im not saying you guys have to make a decision for me but what do you guys think i should take the opportunity and see how it goes lol I was thinking i should take it because i was thinking in majoring in Marketing for college so yeah

Salty Pretzel 942
if you can, i think you should. employers loooove anything that shows leadership plus extracurriculars tend to be bonuses since it shows you have other passions and aren't some robot. xiubae 2,172
Take up as a vice president or none. VP encompasses leadership responsibilities as well, so it will look more impressive. Secretary has less impact though and from my experience, they'll just take you as a team member, nothing much. But my advice is to look for an internship instead if possible, no matter how small a role.

stab 4,072
I think you should go for vice president. It sounds good and you won't have as much work to do as a president (assuming the president will actually be someone productive).
