Why do albums from Japan cost more than albums from Korea?

I'm talking with my friends because our bias group will release a single from Japan soon, and we noticed the price is more than from Korea. But I noticed it's like this for any group almost, like if I search other groups from Korea who had Japan singles or albums, it's always a higher price.

And then I don't really understand why because from Korea albums you get more stuffs, like photocards and the packaging is pretty and etc.

Why? I'm genuinely curious btw.

Japan has a protectionist industry. Korea's industry doesn't really have these things in place. I mean look at how cheap Korean digital songs are too. A Japanese song is about $2.50 digitally. It used to be about twice that price a few years ago.

What does this mean?

What does this mean?

He means how Japan has strict copyright laws. Ex: Japanese companies are good at deleting videos on youtube. There has been some improvements such as  more Japanese artists are uploading their music on youtube.

___________

Japanese albums come with  a lot of extra stuff in Japanese albums compared to Korean. Well if you buy limited and other versions depending the artist.

Oh I see. Thanks.

And idk because I never bought a Japan album with more stuff than a Korean one. Korean album always has photocards and maybe polaroids, lots of page worth of photobook, maybe extra DVD sometimes, and always comes with poster. And the packaging is always really pretty.

And that's just not including limited ed. Limited edition of kpop album is always really big and has all more stuff too.

It's done so that the acts can actually make decent money off of records.

Oh that's good thanks.

& thanks for everyone else's answers too.
