Jungshin cast in KBS Sword and Flower

 

CN Blue's bassist Lee Jungshin has been cast in his second drama after the national hit My Daughter Seoyoung. He joins Uhm Taewoong and Kim Okbin in the upcoming KBS drama Sword and Flower.

 

Lee Jungshin will play the role of Goguryeo's greatest swordsman, Siwoo. Siwoo is described as a "pure" character who is normally charismatic but is infinitely romantic to his beloved Muyoung, daughter of King Youngryu and played by Kim Okbin. He protects her like a shadow and has only loved her his whole life.

 

Lee Jungshin's rival in love is played by Uhm Taewoong, who takes on the role of Yeonchoong, the son of the concubine of Yeon Gaesomun. Yeon Gaesomun is real-life historical figure who was a powerful and controversial military leader during the Goguryeo dynasty.

 

Sword and Flower is directed by Kim Yongsoo who led Uhm Taewoong's previous drama Equator Man. It is expected to premier in July 2013.

Loyal Auntie Fan Invests 25 Million Won in CN Blue’s Jung Yonghwa

 

At the recording of MBC Every1's Extreme 7, MC Lee Hwijae revealed that he is actually close friends with Jung Yonghwa and shared a small fact about him to prove it.

 

He said, "Back in 2010, when Jung Yonghwa was recording MBC's Eco House, he ate a lot of meat and it never affected his skin complexion."

 

A participant on the show that was a self-professed auntie fan of Jung Yonghwa added, "That was when Yonghwa became famous for his meat-loving mania" and promised to gift the idol with the highest quality meat next time.

 

Not only that, the auntie fan also revealed that she had invested about 25 million won (equivalent to roughly $25,000 USD) in the idol! She also revealed on the show the expensive watch she was planning to give to Jung Yonghwa, causing MC Lee Hwijae to feel slightly envious.

 

The episode is scheduled to air on May 11 at 9pm (KST).

CN Blue Donated Proceeds from Concert T-Shirt Auction to Hong Kong Red Cross

 

CN Blue, who held a press conference in Hong Kong on May 9, announced that the group donated the proceeds from the concert T-shirt auction to the Hong Kong Red Cross.

 

CN Blue stated, "These t-shirts are meaningful to us since it has the title of the world tour 'Blue Moon' printed on it and we wore it on stage. We hope they are good gifts to fans and that they will be used for a good cause."

 

CN Blue has previously also donated the proceeds from a bracelet auction in Thailand.

 

CN Blue holds the Hong Kong leg of their 2013 World Tour- Blue Moon concert series May 10 and 11 at the Asia World Expo Arena. It is the largest stage in Hong Kong able to hold 7,000 people. The original and only concert date tickets of May 11 were sold out in five minutes, leading to CN Blue adding an extra date on May 10. CN Blue will reach a total of 14,000 Hong Kong fans in the two days.
