CN Blue is a first Korean rock band who doing a world tour. Right after debut, they were known as an alternative rock band; they released a medium tempo love song this time. We interviewed them about the new song "Blind Love" composed by Jonghyun.

 

"Blind Love" was released on April 24th. It is their 5th single CD who for the first time contains a love song and a medium tune song for CN Blue.

Jonghyun: This is kind of "spring" song. At first, I had written this song's lyric in impression of sakura (cherry blossom). But I didn't want to make this song for only "spring", so I've changed the lyric.

 

When I listen to this melody, I feel like seeing cherry blossom petals swirl.

Jonghyun: Well, the original lyric was "you are shining in swirling petals~". However some of my Japanese friends and our staff said there are lots of sakura songs in Japan. So I had changed it.

Jungshin: Since this time the title song has a different image from our previous songs, I was worried that people who listened this song feel a little confused. But it is a love song and melody like J-pop, so I think Japanese fans will like this song.

Minhyuk: This is an easy listening song. We also felt fresh feeling.

Yonghwa: We had strong songs up to now, though we have a tender song this time. You can feel different style of us.

 

Almost all of your songs were rock tune after your major debut in Japan.

Yonghwa: Yes they were. Most of our songs we've written are about in positive thinking, like "hope".

 

Did you need courage to make such a medium tune love song as a title song?

Jonghyun: It seemed a "challenge" for me. We tried a ballad as a rock band.

Yonghwa: Ummm, it was like a temptation rather than challenge for me.

 

What song comes into your mind immediately as a rock band's ballad song?

Jonghyun: Bon Jovi "Always" and Oasis "Don't Look Back in Anger". These two songs are great as ballad songs.

Yonghwa: Bon Jovi "All About Lovin' You".

Jungshin: Bon Jovi is good and Mr. Big.

Minhyuk: Every song that they have said until now (Minhyuk had the same opinion with Jonghyun and Yonghwa).

Jonghyun: See, ballad songs are important ones for a rock band. I hope our song will be so.

 

Since this song's lyric is almost written in Japanese, it's easy to understand for Japanese fans.

Jonghyun: This song is the love song that anyone has experienced once and has a nostalgic feeling. "No matter how far our distance is, I always love you~".

 

The couple in this song already broke up, didn't they?

Jonghyun: Yes, they did, seems sad though. I would be lying if I said they don't break up. Even though they broke up, love is blind. This is why "Blind Love".

 

Then we would like to interviewed you about "With Your Eyes".

Jonghyun: Actually, we were divided between "Blind Love" or "With Your Eyes" as a title song. In fact many staff chose "With Your Eyes".

 

"With Your Eyes" has more CN Blue's sound.

Jonghyun: I think so. "With Your Eyes" is also a good song. "Greedy Man" was composed and written a by Yonghwa though; all songs "Blind Love", "With Your Eyes", "Greedy Man" all have good lyrics.

 

Did you write the lyric of "With Your Eyes" purposely for "love"?

Jonghyun: No. It's about a "life".  I can not surely say "A life is like this" in my age. However this is a message that "Since it’s your own life, you must have responsibility for your life."

 

Then how about "Greedy Man" composed by Yonghwa?

Yonghwa: This song describes a message "where are you?", "I'll keep loving you". A lyric of biased love is more interesting than a lyric that say straightly "I love you", and I think listener also feels so toward this song.

 

 I see. After you released this single, you are going to do world tour and then ZEPP tour in Japan.

Yonghwa: We just take a step toward the world including Japan. We'll always do our best.

 

Do CN Blue members give support to "Blind Love"?

Jonghyun:  Of course they are.

Yonghwa:  What do you mean by "love is blind"?

 

Does it like a straight love. No cheating?

Jonghyun: Yes it does.

Jungshin: It doesn't mean that you give up your job and to be intoxicated.

 

Nobody is here like this type (cheating, intoxicated and giving up)?

Minhyuk: Nobody.

Jonghyun: Because everybody works hard.

Yonghwa: We have to keep working hard while we are young.

CN Blue: "We want to get tattoos and rebel, but not now"

 

On May 10, CN Blue held a press conference in Hong Kong's Asia World Expo Arena prior to their concert 2013 Blue Moon World Tour.

 

During the press conference CN Blue was asked, "A lot of rock bands have very rebellious appearances with tattoos and piercings, but CN Blue is very clean cut and dandy compare to these bands. Do you ever dream of rebelling? Also, how do you avoid the urge when you want to date?"

 

Kang Minhyuk responded immediately, "We are all men, too. We love beautiful women." His response caused everyone in the audience and fellow CN Blue members to burst out into laughter. He then added, "We just spend more time together with each other when we get that kind of urge. When I get some free time, I go out to eat and watch movies with Jungshin. I try to erase the thought and desire to be in a relationship that way. Now that I think about it, my job is pretty saddening. I don't think I've met the right person, yet."

 

Jung Yonghwa commented, "Of course I want to get tattoos and piercings, but I decided not to indulge such thoughts since my fans are so against the idea. Nonetheless, we try to be as carefree as possible when we are not in front of cameras. We watch other rock stars like Oasis cursing and expressing all of their feelings and opinions and live vicariously through their rebellious, free-spirited lives. Sometimes I wonder, 'That is so cool. How would people react if we act like that?'"

 

Lee Jonghyun added, "We don't have any tattoos and I think that is not the right look for us. Many people love us the way we are, looking clean cut. I don't want to try to break out of that forcefully. Of course, we are going to change as we age, but for now, I think this is the right look for us."

 

Meanwhile, CN Blue hosted concerts in Hong Kong on May 10 and May 11 as a part of their 2013 Blue Moon World Tour. They performed 23 songs including "I'm Sorry" from their most recent album Re:Blue and other hit songs like "I'm a Loner" and "Intuition" in front of approximately 14,000 people in the audience.

This is sad.. So what if yonghwa is very popular? That would be helpful to the group... The other members are working well with their popularity too. Jungshin's getting a new drama and I believe that there will be more opportunities for the other members to come.. I was really sad when FNC withdrew Yonghwa from Heirs and this post explained it. The last line is quite um.. If yonghwa quits FNC, he quits CNBLUE. That's not really good.. Come on yonghwa fans, I think we don't really like that to happen. :(

GOOD LORDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I AM REALLY STARTING TO DISLIKE THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT FNC.

 

I believe a FNC staff who has been impersonating a CNB member on CNB official twitter account just got caught.

 

Also, this FNC staff who posted on an official CNB twitter account may have confirmed that there is a FNC staff who has a significant biast towards a certain CNB member with this tweet message that was posted and the quickly was deleted.

 

This now deleted tweet message came about at a time when many of Korea fans were discussing the previous tweet by a CNBLUE member.  Or rather, the previous tweet was posted under one of CNB members' name. 

 

The discussion was taking place among Korea fans because the first tweet by a CNBLUE seemed a bit different from his usual tweets in regards to his usual writing style and CNBLUE's usual attitude towards birthday celebrations up untill this year.  In the past, CNBLUE members repeatedly stated that they don't really celebrate members' birthdays. 

This person tweeted on CNB account with a message that seem to complain out loud about the Chinese fans' special "bus" birthday event for YH's upcoming Birthday that started on May 15th in Korea.

This person wrote "the child's Birthday is today and what is this that they insist on starting it at this timing...? ã…‹"

 

By referring to JH as "the child", the poster of this tweet revealed herself as someone other than a CNBLUE member since it is highly unlikely that any member of CNBLUE will call JH "the child".  Also, this person proved that she/he is highly biased of JH as well by saying "ì•  ìƒì¼".

This may be a proof that one or more FNC staff have very significant bias towards JH and have been logging in on CNB member twitter account as if this is a personal account.  She/he even impersonated as a CNBLUE member by tweeting with an official CNBLUE twitter account.

This kind of behavior by any of FNC staff is unacceptable and this person's such actions should be held accountable .... Impersonating someone lese is a serous offense.  This FNC staff should be asked to resign...

 

Also, lets not forget to mention that FNC owes fans serious explanation and official apology to the fans.  Also, FNC need to have some kind official notice to the fans, and to CNBLUE members, that firmly state their method of resolution of this matter than such thing won't ever happen again.

Hmm there's some person on Twitter who apparently knows someone who was with CN Blue yesterday and said that Jonghyun drunk tweeted. I'm not sure how reputable this source is though

That doesn't really make sense... why would Jonghyun refer to himself as a child? And honestly, that would only make matters worse if Jonghyun tweeted that about Yonghwa. That's not really in his character, either, drunk or not.
