CNBLUE Grabs 5th Win for “You’re So Fine†on “The Show,†- Soompi

 

CNBLUE has won the first place trophy on “The Show†for the second week in a row!

 

On April 19’s episode of SBS MTV’s “The Show,†CNBLUE was up against NCT U’s tracks “Without You†and “The 7th Sense.†CNBLUE grabbed the win with the highest score in both Korean and Chinese live voting, as well as the pre-show total score. They came on top with 8,385 points to NCT U’s 6,994 for “The 7th Sense†and 5,296 for “Without You.â€

 

CNBLUE was unable to attend the closing that day to accept the award in person, but the official Twitter for “The Show†later shared a picture of the four guys and congratulated them on their win.

The April 22 episode of KBS2′s “Music Bank†featured CNBLUE and Block B as contenders for first place. CNBLUE clinched their sixth win for “You’re So Fine†with 4974 points! Congratulations to CNBLUE! They expressed a lot of surprise for the win and was very grateful to have won on their last “Music Bank†stage for this song’s promotion. They had promised in a backstage interview that two members would squat and two members would do pushups for their victory ceremony so make sure to watch below!

A video of CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong Hwa at a fan signing event has recently gone viral as viewers express their admiration for his kindness towards a fan.

 

In the video, which was uploaded to Weibo recently, Jung Yong Hwa is captured listening intently to a fan who’s talking to him as he sits at a table at a fan signing event.

 

When a staff member comes by to hurry the fan along by attempting to move her autographed album, Jung Yong Hwa gestures to the staff member that he’s fine, and turns back to the fan, waving his hand to encourage her to keep talking.

Kwanghee, Doojoon, Lee Joon, and Yonghwa steal hearts as 'Wedding Boys' on 'Infinity Challenge' - Allkpop

 

 

The 'Wedding Boys' stole hearts of married couples on 'Infinity Challenge'!

 

Three teams performed for the May 14th's episode of the 'Infinity Challenge' wedding singers special. Jung Jun Ha's team of musical actors sang Elvis Presley's "Can't Stop Falling in Love" and earned 134 votes. Park Myung Soo sang with Jang Bum Joon and earned 118 votes.

 

However, while the first two teams did great, hearts were stolen by the Wedding Boys - made up of Kwanghee, B2ST's Doojoon, CNBLUE's Yonghwa, and actor Lee Joon. The team is made up of Kwanghee's best friends, and they sang Bruno Mars' "Marry You" and Lee So Ra's "Proposal". So far, they gathered the most points with 167 votes.

Kwanghee, Jung Yong Hwa, and Lee Joon Put On Surprise Performance As The “Wedding Boys†- Soompi

 

On this week’s episode of “Infinite Challenge,†the Wedding Boys successfully put on their surprise wedding performance. The Wedding Boys consists of “Infinite Challenge†member Kwanghee, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, and former MBLAQ member Lee Joon.

 

This episode that aired May 21 is a continuation of the “Wedding Singers†series, where “Infinite Challenge†members prepare and perform surprise congratulatory performances at weddings that request their attendance.

 

Unfortunately, BEAST member Yoon Doo Joon, who was originally part of the Wedding Boys, was not able to make the performance due to his schedule. Kwanghee, Jung Yong Hwa, and Lee Joon met with the performance requesters, who were high school students preparing their own performance for their teacher’s wedding, and practiced their surprise performance together. The Wedding Boys wore outfits that resembled school uniforms in preparation.

 

On the day of the wedding, after the students’ sang their own congratulatory song, the Wedding Boys made their surprise appearance, visibly surprising the groom, bride, and wedding guests.

On June 27, KBS News Time revealed that CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk and Laboum’s Solbin are the new “Music Bank†MCs.

 

During the interview, Kang Min Hyuk states, “It’s a spot a lot of people want because it feels like a gateway or a step up for stars.â€

 

Solbin comments, “I will work hard to become a mascot for ‘Music Bank.'â€

 

On June 24, previous MCs Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene hosted their last show after a 14-month run, increasing the anticipation for who would have the honor of hosting the show next.

 

Kang Min Hyuk is currently proving his skills as an actor on SBS drama, “Entertainer.†Solbin debuted as a part of group Laboum in 2014 and has taken part in various other activities other than singing.

CNBLUE’s Kang Minhyuk recently greeted his Japanese fans up close and personally!

 

On July 30, his agency FNC Entertainment revealed photos from the fanmeeting, which was held on July 28 in Tokyo.

 

Kang Minhyuk actually held two different sessions on the same day, with the auditorium being completed packed during both sessions, indicating his popularity as a hallyu star.

 

 

The drummer of CNBLUE gifted fans with not one, but two singing performances of “Star†from MBC’s “Heartstrings†and “You Can Cry†from SBS’s “Entertainer.†He also interacted with the fans by feeding some lucky participants some of an omelette he specially made himself, and by playing various games.

 

Kang Minhyuk also talked intimately about his life, showing pictures from his childhood and reminiscing about CNBLUE’s time spent in Japan as an indie band before their official Korean debut.

CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin Confirmed To Appear In Drama Adaptation Of “My Sassy Girl†- Soompi

 

 

CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin will be appearing in a new drama!

 

A source from the drama adaptation of “My Sassy Girl†stated on August 12, “Lee Jung Shin will be appearing in ‘My Sassy Girl.’ Right now we are in the final stages of coordination.â€

 

The musician/actor’s agency, FNC Entertainment, also confirmed the news.

 

According to the source, Lee Jung Shin will be playing the handsome and sweet Kang Joon Young opposite Joo Won, who is playing the male lead. Lee Jung Shin made his acting debut in the 2012 drama “My Daughter Seo Young†and is currently appearing in “Cinderella and the Four Knights.â€

 

The drama “My Sassy Girl†will be 100% pre-produced and broadcast simultaneously in Korea, Japan, and China. The first filming is expected to take place sometime in August.

CNBLUE member Kang Min Hyuk will be appearing in MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Hospital Ship†(literal title) with Ha Ji Won, who was previously confirmed as the female lead.

 

A source from Kang Min Hyuk’s agency FNC Entertainment stated, “[Kang Min Hyuk] has decided to star in [the drama]. We are currently coordinating the details.â€

 

“Hospital Ship†is a medical drama about a ship that provides medical services to island villages. It is expected be a touching story that follows the young doctors as they grow. It will be directed by PD Park Jae Bum of “Start Again†and written by screenwriter Yoon Sun Joo of “Secret Door.â€

On the July 11 episode of MBC’s “Video Star,†Park Soo Hong, Don Spike, CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, DinDin, and Parc Jae Jung appeared as guests on the “YOLO Life†special.

 

During the show, the MCs asked about the rumor that Kang Min Hyuk once drank expensive champagne at a rooftop bar in Thailand with a female idol named “S.†To everyone’s surprise, he said that it was true and that the idol in question was Apink’s Son Naeun.

 

“[CNBLUE bandmate] Lee Jung Shin and Son Naeun did a drama together,†he said. “During our Thailand concert, I was going to go to a rooftop bar with Lee Jung Shin when we got in contact with Son Naeun and met up with her.â€

 

 

 

 

He continued, “We drank champagne together but the next day I got a call from my mom. She asked me if I’d spent money abroad and I said yes. It turned out that that champagne was 60,000 baht in Thai money. When I did the math, one bottle was 2 million won in Korean money (approximately $1740).â€
