Is "fag" the gay equivalent of the n word?

Well if you can say fag but censor the 'n' word then it's probably not on the same level.

The "N" word was used to oppress a group of people and refer to them as property and not as human beings and treated them as such for well over 200+ years.

And the word you are thinking of is "N****" is what you hear. It should not be said since it is stupid but that is what you are hearing.

I suppose. I wouldn't condone the use of it, but like a lot of pejorative terms it has turned into something that is less about inciting contempt and more about just general expression.

 

I personally don't use fag to address other people. The only time I really use it is if I'm incredibly angry or frustrated with someone, and even then I usually use more general hateful terms. lol

Yes there is, there is a big difference between "NiggER" & "NiggA" one is used by ignorant and racist people, the other is used repeatedly by Black people for some dumb reason and repeatedly in music because they are too fucking lazy to think of a real word to go there.
