Even with all the airplay the song can't crack top 5 on itunes besides when the MV was released It peaked at #2 on iTunes, and that was weeks after the MV, and it has been top 10 on iTunes and it's a 3 month old song, plus it has been top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 2 consecutive months so far... there is a reason they are "raping" her song on radio, the people love it. Not any song can get to #1, only the most succesful overall in terms of streaming, radio and sales, but even then a song can be inflated in one of the categories (like Harlem Shakes staggering 100 million streams) which led it to #1 on the BBH100, I agree the chart is a joke in some ways, but overall it is still pretty accurate. Any song will stay in Itunes top 10 if the radio plays it ever 10 minutes. Her song isn't good enough to survive without airplay and that's the only reason it's doing well right now. No one uses radio besides the backward thinking old men who create and keep the radio chart relevant by still incorporating it onto the Billboard Hot 100. CAGI has been selling based on Selena's exposure, minimal from radio, more so from her promoting and performing it. She did so cause this is where she's trying to breakthrough to an overall GP audience and out of her Disney character, and this is her first taste of success, it was well deserved. Whatever way Selena got her song to be a success doesn't change the fact that it is one, there is no reason to say just because this or that it's a success, that is irrelevant. Remember the rule for YT streams to be added into the chart factor was only introduced the week they made Harlem Shake go #1 on the BBH100, which was early this year.
