Article: Will Nicole overcome her three years of walking on a thorned road for a return?

Source: OSEN via Naver

1. [+813, -85] Her mother ruined her life

2. [+626, -75] It's only a return if she ever reached the top position in the past... and didn't the KARA scandal happen in the first place because her mother instigated it? Seems more like the remaining KARA members will be making a return to the stage while Nicole sticks to some variety show.

3. [+417, -29] She's an example of how an overreaching parent can ruin a child's future

4. [+243, -65] She looks way older than her age and looks countrified

5. [+88, -13] No way she can make it on her own, she only shined because she was with KARA

6. [+78, -15] Nicole's mom seems to be more of the problem. It's not like Nicole ever had what it took to go solo but she's always so confident that she can... Her only option is to do a duet with Jiyoung in Japan.

7. [+74, -12] Nicole's a nice kid but her mom...

8. [+73, -13] Her face is below average. She can go solo but it won't have any impact. ã…‹

yeah netizens were saying the same things about Sunmi...

Kara's Mister butt dance was amazing because of Nicole. Fact.

She did pretty much make that dance. Everyone was doing yes, and everyone has their biases but you can't deny that Nicole was the driving headstone. She gave it so much more energy and life.

what exactly did her mom do?

and what does countrified mean lol

From how I've seen it used in other articles, I'm pretty sure it means "tacky"/"not classy"/"unsophisticated".  In addition to some celebs' physical appearances, I've seen knetz refer to Gary of Leessang's MV for "Shower Later" as "countrified", as well as some other incidents that I can't remember now.

Why are they even blaming her mom? Sure, her mom might (Srsly, there is no evidence. Cole's mom knows a lot more people in the industry so thats why her name was getting attached in the media) have started the contract dispute, but 3 out of 5 Kara parents felt the girls weren't getting support.

I don't doubt Nicole will work hard. Now it's just up to good timing, promotion and if her song will be public friendly. But, I'm sure netizens will be always right like they were with Sunmi  :derp:

Issues aside, Nicole with her own picked song?! In a music video.. And her performing?! So excited. How am I suppose to focus during her comeback ;__;

I don't know why you're getting negged for your post. Nicole's mom has always looked out for her and given how greedy Ms. Choi is, I'm not surprised that it was thought the girls might not be being compensated properly.  We are talking about a woman who bought a building for DSP to use as a headquarters and is having the same company she is CEO of pay her rent to use the building (and yes, she can do this because DSP is a privately owned company).  I'll feel bad if Mr. Lee (the original CEO who suffered a brain aneurysm in 2010) ever truly comes to his senses and see how his wife has ruined his company.  There's a reason why Nicole signed with B2M where the CEO of that company is a former manager of KARA and left (or more like fired from) DSP around when Ms. Choi took over when she failed at negotiating new contracts for SS501 (since he also managed SS501 and that's why 2 of the members are in B2M as well).

Didn't even know I was getting negged. Its not even worth talking about DSP now. But, how about the people bringing Cole's mom into the picture get some evidence? Ah, yes. There are only those evidences from all those very trustable media sources, right?  :derp: The same ones that were blowing up the whole contract dispute into some kind of girl group cat fight. I'm sure they'll know more about Kara's dispute because they just clicked whatever Korean-->English news source popped up.
