How hard would you think for an Asian American to fit in with other Asian ethnic groups?

Lets say I am of the Asian race and I want to hang out with other Asian ethnicity. Like Koreans or South-Eastern Asians like Viets and what not.

Let's say I go to a community where a lot of them gathered around and try to chill there and try to make new friends.

Would i be successful?

I mean I used to live in predominately White areas where I was one of the only Asians in the whole community. I think I did fine even though I felt like an outsider.

SO I guess I am trained for this?:

When Asian Americans say this kind of stuff, no offense, you sound so stupid. Does it matter what country you grew up in or what language you speak? If you want to hang with natives of your race then just do it, and learn the language. It's not rocket science. Everybody else on the damn planet can be "successful" with their own peeps, right? So can you.

O cuz in my other thead, people kept telling me how Koreans treat other people that aren't koreans outsiders or something

Honestly, it's true. Not like it's impossible or anything, but Koreans are very clique-y. If you hang out with a group of Koreans, chances are, they're going to be speaking in Korean the entire time.

Chinese, Vietnamese, others won't really do that. And it's less likely that all their friends are the same ethnicity.

What about Korean Americans?

What about Korean Americans?

In my experience, they are more likely to speak in their 2nd language than other Asian Americans.

This is a generalization because obviously not every Korean or Korean American acts the same way. But on the whole, it's true. My Korean friends have told me they know that Koreans are sort of exclusive. Even for Korean Americans it can be hard to get close to Korean cliques.

That's funny because I know some Korean-Americans and they don't know their own language for shit. :D

Well I mean I have been an outsider in white-dominated areas. I don't think it will be that hard.
