I read this everywhere but I never got a proper source confirming this apart from this suspicious japanese poll ranking the members. Is there legit proof of Tao being popular with the japanese fans?

 

I know that he is anime looking and since he shares some traits with Jaejoong personnality (and fashion), I know he will be well received there but since everyone and their mother is saying this I want to know if there are sources that can back it up.

OMG YES!! Tao is every Japanese female otaku's DREAM. He has that whole "mouri senpai" vibe from host club. He's tall, quiet, shy, handsome/ridiculously good looking, at martial arts but sensitive and caring at the same time. He's literally a manga/anime character come to life. They will eat him up for sure. Him and Luhan will definitely get a lot of love. Especially if luhan sports to his fluffy hair.

I've talked to several J-fans who live in Japan and are fans of EXO. Tao and Luhan are the most popular with Kai rounding out the top 3. They all say the same thing and most of them are stans of other members so they're not being biased. He also has a ton of fanboys in Japan, alot of them cosplay as him because they think he is handsome. There is one really famous one on weibo actually. Nah, these polls aren't accurate at all. Lay is one of the least popular in Japan, trust me. The reason why he's up there is because C-fans got wind of the polls and then alot of C-line fans started botting the poll. There were like instructions on weibo at the time on how to vote multiple times and stuff and Lay fans cared the most. Don't take these kinds of polls seriously, they're never accurate.

I was trying to be on a hiatus, I really did. I just finished an exam today (thank God) and I have so many incoming school works to do. College is a pain. Around this time, I really wanted to set Exo aside. But yesterday, as we all know, Exo K Overdose dance practice video got leaked. Whether it was deliberation or not, I was very upset. Hypocritically, though, I watched it. I didn't even hesitate. I think it was a subconscious action. I'm not going to spoil anything for those who haven't watched it (although I'm sure there's only a few) about the video, the only things I wanted to say will be about my vague reception of it. I thought the song and choreo weren't disappointing at all since I set a pretty high expectation for Exo after Growl. The chorus was very catchy and the song in general will grow on you very fast just like Growl. The two songs are very good in their own way, so I was upset that people already started downgrading Growl. Honestly, give Growl more credits because Exo wouldn't have been where they are today without Growl. I'm looking forward to M's version, but, I'm worried. The song sounds like it was written for Korean language (as always) and so, I don't expect M's version to be as good. The song and performance made me understand why they are calling for a separate promotion. I will be happy with more lines for each members. The rap part was really the only thing throwing me off.

similar to Wolf's, the lyrics in general, sounds extremely suggestive. I'm not a fan of sexual lyrics. The rap part was gross. It screams oral sex to be honest. Can someone explain to me what else could the rap part be suggesting? Please, SM, make them change the freaking lyrics. Some peoople are calling them SEXO now. I can see why. I don't want to sound like a delusional fan who believes in a virginal concept (although I don't want to assume they're liars), but I am not a fan of sexy concept at all. Anyway, if the lyrics get revised in a positive way, I don't mind Taoris getting a big share of ChanSeKai's rap part. I don't want any other nonrapper getting a share because the rap is already too short for my taste.

I hope this song will sell well both digitally and physically. It doesn't feel like SM really. So excited for the comeback. 

poor you I have a month before I go back to school. I'm OK with sexually suggestive lyrics since I don't understand them but I'm afraid that the M version will suck. I didn't like the rap part and M usually imitate that part the most. I just hope it's so bad otherwise I'll have to cut somebody just kidding

I would think the rap is all he'll get, it seems they've stopped forgetting about Xiumin so any singing part Tao could get will most likely go to Xiumin now.
