I think it's mostly because he's really cute, lol. But who knows. I do think he and Chanyeol will probably have the best Japanese in the group, though. Tao will no doubt try his best. <3

 

What's really shocking is that Kris is in last place - he, Luhan and Kai would often switch around in the top three rankings on those polls I would read and he seemed to have some of the loudest reactions from the audience at the fanmeet.

 

Yeah, Baek is definitely worth having a big fanbase. Hahah I love Tao speaking Korean and Japanese. His clueless expressions at the concert were daebakk. 

 

I'm also surprised. But I guess it's not definitive?

By the way, is Tao's hair white now? I know I care too much about hair color and style sometimes, but it seems like his hair keeps getting lighter.

Poor baby, he was trying to hold it in biting his lips but tears kept on flowing. If only I could I would've hugged him tightly as I wipe his tears.

 

I don't understand those who attacked him in the past whenever he cried. I would understand if it looked forced or fake but it's freaking obvious that it isn't. He's genuinely crying. This time too, look at those teary eyes, red nose and zero care for his expression. Just cry, baby. Don't hold back.

 

I'm really thankful to Suho for going to him and comforting him. I especially liked 16:01, the way he's holding the crying baby's hand, so motherly. I like SuTao "Mama&Baby" relationship,  since Tao is far from his family it's good to know that he has someone who he can look at like that.

Yes, you said exactly all I wanted to say. I don't get it either. I would get if they found Tao faking his tears or crying in vain annoying. But this is so genuine. He's a human and he has emotions, LOTS OF THEM. I love Tao so much because of this and I hope he doesn't have to care if he comes off as a cry baby to others. If you wanna cry, cry. Let it out. I'm glad Tao is real enough to show his emotions. 

 

And yes, I love SuTao relationship. They're one of my favorite Suho's pairings because they have such a maternal relationship. Suho is really a caring leader and I like how he takes Tao under his wing. 

 

I'm so mad that I have a class right around the comeback time. Guess I'll be a late spazzer.

So I asked on another forum why the Japanese ranking was the way it was, and got a GREAT answer. 

 

"The rankings might be have been heavily influenced by the showcases. Chanyeol sung in japanese, Baekhyun was the best speaking japanese, Tao was really emotional and cried and Kai/Luhan are the faces/visuals and are bound to be popular etc. Kris was funny but maybe he wasn't considered one of the highlights (although IMO he was)." -sinnfb

 

 

I think that partially explains why Chanyeol and Baek were ranked pretty high for those of you wondering. I guess the rankings are influenced by the showcase.

I wrote this on March 9th 

Not long ago, I was just saying how I stood up for Tao in several of my posts because I felt defensive and protective of him. However, now I can officially say that I have fallen for Tao and now he is perhaps my ultimate bias at the moment. I can’t believe myself because I admit that Tao wasn’t “my style†*inserts Kris’s buzzword*, but his personality and look and everything have grown tremendously on me. I don’t know when but everything he does now is so adorable in my eyes. I just enjoy watching him more than any other member. He started out on the bottom of my list and climbing all the way to the very top. It’s like Exo getting rookie awards in 2012 and daesang in 2013. I kept denying that Tao has overtaken other biases places (Lay, Luhan, Kris). I told myself that I only like him because he is perfectly shippable and I like his pairings instead. But now, I really have to confess that Tao is my bias. Action speaks much louder than my words and I have noticed that I made this tumblr because of Tao. Tao is such an interesting member. He is the definition of four-dimensional person. Just when you think that he is transparent enough for you to read him like a book, he would show you different sides of him. His vulnerable side, his optimistic side, his mature side, his funny side, his witty side, his aeygo side, his caring side…etc. and the list goes on. I don’t know about later man, but as of now, Tao is 1st.

omg you guys this tao spam oh god and wow good for you if you can miss school, the comeback will be at 6am in my time zone, luckily i don't start class until 10 but seriously exo promotions and finals ugh i'm gonna die!!

What makes me hesitate is that I only have a non obligatory 2 hour lecture tomorrow Apparently it is very unsure if international fans will be able to view the live stream, so I'm not skipping after all. Hopefully some videos of the showcase will have reached youtube or such by the time I get home.

 

Seems we took quite different roads to biasing Tao. I actually was not going to even try to enter the exo fandom, it seemed so complicated and all I saw was fan wars and shipping wars all over the place. But, then came Tao, actually a small clip from weekly idol I think (where he messes up with his bo staff) and I was hooked. So I am first and foremost a Tao fan before I am an exo fan. even though I have soft spots for several other members too, especially china line

Where to even begin

 

He slayed me, he was on point (minus the druming part which I think need more work on his part)

 

The Taokai, do I need to even explain?

 

And Kris, Xiumin, Tao especially Xiumin and Tao...they nailed the rap, the attitude,the presence...simply owned it

 

And the flip at the end...gosh

 

This song is gorgeous, I'm in love with the bridge but the mv could have been better, so much better.

 

I definitely need an HD version because I'm bawling my eyes out trying to get a clear look at all of them. Tao's rap was just flawless. I keep getting goosebumps replaying his part. I already watched it over 20 times. The MV definitely could have been better, but I can't complain because fans are too desperate for a comeback. I get the rush.

I had to watch each performances before managing to put my thoughts together.

 

 

He was looking good at the showcase, even though his hair were.... kinda flat but yeah, he still looked good but not surprised anymore, give him any hair color, any hairstyle and he's going to rock it. That's him.

 

Overdose performance

 

He got the centre position during the chorus, that part with Kai (which despite my weakness for TaoKai for being so hot together, I can't wait for Tao to do it solo: Tao staring sexily at the camera and killing you right there); He's also dancing on Kai's left side right before E.X.O and that flip! I literally gasped and had the my mouth hanging for a couple of seconds before clapping my hands excitedly LOL XD

 

I hope for him not to get hurt if he's always doing that flip even though it makes me squeal everytime. 

 

It could be my eyes playing tricks on me but I felt like he's often on the front for this choreography as OT12. I was wrong though when I assumed that he was going to get Sehun's part when apparently it went to Xiumin while he got Kai's.  and he's kind of Kai's counterpart. They come, make a heart, throw it down; plus, the clapping hands, poking cheeks, hip thrust (asdfghjkl) and kneeling down.

 

 

RUN (?)

 

Not only he got a line but did you hear his voice during the chorus? Oh my panda! 

 

The other song.. " I Like you(?)"

 

His rap following Sehun. I can't wait for the full songs and hopefully he got singing lines there too because he's not a BaekSooChen but I still enjoy listening to it.

 

 

In short, he got the perfect attitude. Overflowing confidence and charisma; looking so hot and bad ass ready to kick everyone in the way.

Anyway, I didn't really mind much about his hair being flat because the new hair color looked great. It really added more mystic to his aura. The blond was great but I'd always wanted him to dye it even lighter. Now there is still a possibility that the light played trick on my eyes. I need to wait for more pictures to confirm that Tao did lighten his hair even further by this point. 

 

The performance

 

Did you notice Baekhyun and Suho changed their position for the actual performance? I wonder if M will do the same. The performance is a little less intriguing than the one from the MV, maybe because it was harder to move around on stage and the camera work from the MV made it different. As a whole, I don't like Overdose perf as much as Growl since the members are split into K & M instead of being mix up. I couldn't help but skipped K part most of the time. 

 

I also didn't like how Kris & Tao didn't get any lines (just like how Sehun & Chanyeol didn't for M version). Basically, I feel like I will only watch Tao's ending stunt and cheek part when they perform as OT12. Of course, I will also watch for KrisLayHan. 

The MV

 

I like that the MV gives off an illusional feel. It definitely brings out the whole concept of being overdose, addiction...etc. I think they could have added more scenes. I don't know, it feels rather cheap. The teaser was exciting, but then we get an MV that couldn't get any more exciting than that. I didn't like how the whole maze shots are all pushed in the intro. I love how they look in there but I had to skip it because it felt too long and draggy. 

 

At first, I was quite disappointed that Tao didn't get Sehun's part too but then, I understand that I shouldn't be too selfish. There's also Xiumin who needs screentime. Tao got a meaty part because from his rap to him being in the center is 13 seconds. Omgosh, I kept replaying that part. He got so much swag and he's not even overdoing it. So effortlessly handsome and hawt. 

 

Honestly, that cheek part was a little cringeworthy to me when Kai did it during the dance practice. I was praying that Tao wouldn't have to do it. But after giving it a few watches, I'm starting to get used to it. I like how Tao didn't make a weird face like Kai did. 

 

I didn't rewatch any other performances at the showcase because I literally spent all of my time, effort, and energy on Overdose alone.
