The poin of the shows is to guess the singer so why does it matter what song she was singing? Regardless if she sang Gee or songs from other artists, they should have guessed it right or else it would sort of defeat the whole purpose of the show.Also some of the comments are acting as if she only sound like taeyeon when she sings her own songs. Well HS is fine until now without single idol come (except IU), and PD tried to invite idol and test the public reaction. And the result PD got backlash just because he choose HIT song from snsd. Not all taeyeon solo is well known to general public as good as gee and twinkle so i understand why he choose them. Because gee is snsd anthem and twinkle is tts anthem. So how PD will invite other idol when not many of them have hit as solo artist??? As PD cannot use hit song for group??? HS is fine without idol, they should stick to actual solo singer rather than have to receive same shit in the future. I would take on the challenge of recognizing my favourite singer in whatever song she sings. And the audience is random right? So winning a majority of the rounds is still pretty good. And audience who might not have listened to Taeyeon before could try memorising her voice in the earlier rounds and get it right later on. In this way, more people would become more familiar with Taeyeon's voice and appreciate and recognize it anytime later on TV and so on. How come u invite idol if most of their hit song is from their group??? But u can't use that song for competition? not many idol have lots of hit song as a solo singer. Choosing 1 Snsd and 1 tts song made it tricker to tell who was the real Taeyeon. In her solos it was too easy to tell so the choice of Gee made things more heated. Whether she has to sing parts not hers or not doesn't matter. We should still be able to tell her voice apart. And to add on, Tayron is NOT known as a solo artist.
