The lyrics kind of reminded me of those riddles where at the end it asks "what am I?" and the answer is in the title "Shadow". Maybe I'm just dumb? I think it could be but the lyrics are also completely (and more) consistent with being a song about an actual (though personified/anthropomorphic) shadow. The person in the mirror is shiningSo I can get jealous of the smile the resembles you ^ this part in particular is consistent with a shadow being jealous of a reflection, and not with a stalker being... jealous of a reflection.
