It's already been explained several times, he felt that he was fine and had to catch a plane so he left however he felt pain later(due to internal bleeding which you can't see from the outside and in some scenarios doesn't have immediate impact) so he ended up going to the hospital later.

You do realise certain injuries get worser overtime, i used to play soccer and for example if i got kicked during a match i would feel pain during the impact however i would be fine shortly after and i could continue the match without any issues but then when i wake up the next day my feet could be swollen and i could have difficulties walking etc, really isn't unusual.

It is very logically tbh... for instance I remember I got in a fight with someone 5 timess my size wwe fought and I thought "Well he's weak I. Didn't even feel anything." lol a day later my bones were stiff..it hass to do with him being in shock/adrenaline running during that time he probably didn't realize he was injured until the shock/adrenalne left his ssysstem so to all u trying to shade him it can happen...im not picking up for his careless driving im just stating a fact...
