For the most part, their dramas have done decently from my understanding. Not only that, most of JYPE's idols have been extremely active in dramas and movies this year. Do you think this is the type of focus and management JYPE needs to apply to their music careers to better promote them? Do you prefer them acting or them being active musically? Otaku 91 Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Yeah. Like JJ Project who had their acting debut before their singing, but the time they debuted, they already had a lot of fans. For JYP to go into acting as well, I think it's a good idea. Not only will then they include promotions for movies/dramas they've been in, but also their band - all round promoting at all sides. So you think the fact Suzy's dramas and movie has done well played a part in deciding to send some of their idols either back into acting or acting for the first time? Im not going to count musicals since only a few of their better vocalists have done them (JOO, Changmin, Yenny, and Jun. K) and that is IMO a bit different than a drama or a movie. I guess since JYPE is just out to make money, this is how they do it. However, I really only care about the music, so the fact that they all act now but are dropping off musically bothers me. Especially since JYPE is so good at promoting their acting careers but is dropping the ball left and right when it comes to promoting them as musicians. Kind of, in my opinion JYPe has always excelled in creating standout female artists, I mean look at how many it girls they have and compare it to the other companies. True, but there are those who are being thrown into acting at jype are the ones when they want to be focusing on their music as well. From that aspect it would be foolish for JYPE to turn down money in my opinion. Suzy last drama, the script writer said he basically wrote it for Suzy and had her in mind from the start, Taec fist role was from the director himself , etc... The only way is if they didn't want to do it in the first place but I think the ones getting steady acting gigs seems to be the ones who like acting the most.
