Onehallyu = K-Pop Forum with some sub threads for J-Pop,etc fans

-> Onehallyu gets more and more members daily

All this members are probably K-Pop Fans

(Ignoring all j-pop, c-pop,etc. fans here)

Look where we started from?

From a scratch from 1 member but look where we are now

->Therefore the hallyuwave is obviously growing

Hallyu wave is a success story

IDRC if it is. i honestly don't want it to grow. kpop is becoming too mainstream tbh

and no, i'm not a hipster. i just think if it wasn't so mainstream companies wouldn't be trying so hard with the strange music and over-the-top sexual concepts and kpop would go back to how it was a few years ago.

exo

tbh. they have such a huge international following lol

What does that have to do with anything?

I've never really seen it as a "k-pop-wave", because frankly people are only interested in a few groups. And this really doesn't seem to be declining at all.

This "k-pop-wave" thing is something that the people from groups trying to tag along has come up with.

What makes this thread different than other threads before?

What's so hard about using the searching bar?

This thread serves a different and more specific purpose. This isn't a "KPop's dying/dead" thread.

Sure

That's just like ,,this song sucks" only said in a different way

Well, no group post/09 is more popular internationally so  :chu:

I'd argue 2NE1 but I won't bother.

And the K-Pop train is not going as nearly as fast as it was two years ago. The "huge international" fan base EXO has is, by rule, made up of people who were already K-Pop fans. It's not like x amount of people suddenly became interested in K-Pop because of EXO. Same goes for any other group post-KPop boom.

Whut?

I don't think Hallyu is still growing as I said in my last thread about the decline of the Hallyu.

The hype for it is gone. I thought that K-Pop would be like how ANime was in the late 90's early 00's. But it has yet to get that way and it's been around for decades now.

The big groups are making a tonne of money and have the potential to go further, and SM has shown (through Exo) that they can keep it going with new groups

I-i-i-i-i-i I'm A I-i-i-i-i-I'm A I-i-i-i-I'm A Mother Father Gentleman!

this song plays like every 30 minutes on the top 40 radio station in North Carolina that's why I think hallyu has a chance.

The international fandom grows daily.

Koreans may be getting tired of it, but I think the doors are opening. Kpop isn't done only behind closed doors anymore.

If they can keep up with the demand...they can make it.
