imsomessedup 32
TLDR/TMI/fun version nike running app is great they updated it since last year and now there's a coaching program, challenges, and you can also track your friends' runs i only have 2 friends on the running app because i don't have that many friends and most of those friends aren't into running the more fit of those friends had a mile time of 7:06 and i was like hah i can beat that so easily mang i run 5 miles a day i've been using nike running to track my runs for the past 2 months or so but i had to rely on the shitty built-in accelerometer on my moto g to see how far i ran because i didn't have gps well it isn't shitty at all but it'd give me bizarre readings if i ran while putting the phone in some saggy ass pocket in w/e shorts i was wearing that day well anyways i got a smartphone plan so now i have gps! so i decided to tackle my friend's record first time i got 9:07 and was like "naaa it's because i'm recovering from food poisoning" couldn't do no more because i was mad tired though second day i got 8:25 and was like "naaa it's because i'm still recovering from food poisoning, but man this might not be as easy as i thought" regressed in times the next 2 days (9:27 and 9:58) and yesterday i got it down to 8:10 today all food poisoning symptoms disappeared so i'm going to see how i do later like god damn though props to people who achieve sub 7-minute miles shit is really hard any people run here? and if you do, do you use apps to track your progress? also if you've ever tried running for speed, what are your record mile times? you guys can share your running tips here too (ie. developing an efficient stride; pre-run diet) i found that sprinting doesn't work for me because i'd be too exhausted after the first quarter-mile so now i use the 100-up form throughout my run (what i use for my longer distances) 8:10 is my record so far since that time is useless without context i'm 23 years old, 5'8", and weigh 217lbs/98kg i started running for speed a week ago prior to that i ran 6 miles/walked 12 a week i didn't realize how hard it was to run a 5-minute mile until i started running for speed if any of you guys use nike+ running feel free to pm me and share your contact info i'll reply asap i wish it was easier to add people on nike+ competition is good though
