The only thing I know about saho is she talked a fan out of committing suicide <3 she seem like a sweetie tho I haven't followed her yet.

Wut? How did she manage that? That's freaking amazing.

  • 2 weeks later...

So! Much! Color! :ahmagah:  And so much adorable-ness (I know, not a real word but my brain just got fried by all the color) in 5 minutes condensed. Had a faint grin on my face the whole video through. And the song is not as bad as the last 3 or 4 singles.

So yeah...going back watching it a second time now.

Just watched the Team A video and I have one question.

Aki-P, why is this just a coupling song?

Why instead is Sayonara Crawl the single, a song that's medicore without the great music video?

Sigh. :horror:

The MV has a fitting theme and amazing settings but nothing happens in it. The girls just stand around or dance for 5 seconds. It's looks high quality but is nonetheless cheap. Where is my story MV, dammit! Btw, Mayu looks mature for the first time in her Idol life. I kinda like it.

Now on to Team B and K. Wasamin :lub:  and Yuko :megusta: .

Well it's a summer single so they had to have something sweet and summery  :derp: Plus they have to think what would sell better - cutesy song with dancing in bikinis or a rock song with edgy clothes and not that much dancing.

That's the problem isn't it. Either Aki-P and Co. just think they sell more with some bland cutesy song every year at the same time or the general AKB48 buyers (wotas and casual public) actually like it that way. I'm not sure which is right. Either way I don't like it. At least the song even exists, maybe I should be glad for that and shup up.

And what is up with jpopsuki? Did they get their plug pulled or is it just some maintenance?

I'm watching No Flower Without Rain right now.

Have to make a running commentary, otherwise I forget what I want to talk about.

1.) Togasaki is a hypocrite. First he brings Yonezawa and Hirajima in front of a crowd of wotas for a round of "hands on" shame culture and than he cries like a bitch. I guess he knows how fucked up this shit is. But he doesn't get my pity. He is part of that system. It's all for the $$$, right?

2.) Sasshi's reaction to the shame show was great to me. It's understandable and she shows the contempt, for now obvious reasons, I also feel.  And it's interesting that they had that specific moment on tape. They edited the material perfectly. Sasshi, Micchan, Yuka...

3.) Best quote so far: Yukirin: "If I was a ordinary person and if I see me as the center of AKB, I think I would never support AKB." Major LOL.

To be continued...

Mayuyu is making me her fan y'all  :lub:

It's season appropriate I guess..I mean depressing songs during the summer is kinda...depressing.....

Like how they put out graduation song around spring

Assuming it's maintenance..tho it has been like that for 2, 3 days now  :soul:

I hope it doesn't die

The song isn't depressing per se. The lyrics are pretty upbeat and hopeful. And what's wrong with some edgy rock-ballad in summer? Why has everything always have to be the same and boring?

simply because it's the 'summer themed single' like ponytail to shushu, everyday kachuusha..  i know, i kinda wish akb would break away from this predictable cycle

Let's wish together. Maybe one day it comes true.

Running commentary for Flower documentary.

4.) Sasshi is a trooper. She took that opportunity and run with it. No dramatic self-loathing, no bullshitting. And she understood right away that she was put on a mission in HKT. And now she is mentor, theater manager and song producer. :datass:

5.) Accan got center, which she didn't want to be. Paruru is pushed for center, although she doesn't (want to) give a fuck. I see a pattern. Mayuyu tries in vain.

6.) Sometimes Takamina is a fanatic work-aholic. I don't say her roasting of the younglings wasn't justified but like with the last documentary when they all collapsed because of exhaustion (which she facilitated because of the midnight training after the first show), she sometimes doesn't know when to stop. Her Japanese bee-hive mindset desturbs me.

Flower Documentary Conclusion: That was the best documentary yet. Many members and issues were focused on. That last minute of monologue by Jurina(?) was quite breath taking and accurat. Many want to be center, some not really, only one can be it. And the reality of being center is much harsher than the high dreams and aspirations of those girls make it seem to be.

It's quite paradoxical.

I need more details on this

Not much to add. Yonezawa and Hirajima (who got dismissed from AKB after quite a messy dating scandal) got on stage at one of the handshake events one day(?) after the dismissal and cried and apologized their souls out in front of a few thousand people. Togasaki annouced them and afterwards he got off stage and started bawling like a baby.

I know he doesn't call the shots, he's not Aki-P, but at the same time I can't sympathize with him. The cognitive dissonance with this issue is just mind- boggling.

15th gen getting into trouble already. http://geinolabo.ldblog.jp/archives/4470611.html

Apparently Okawa Nana used to be a H!P wota a couple of years ago and said a lot of crap about AKB on twitter and Yahoo.

I don't think it's that big of a deal tbh, what's past is past and she should be given a clean slate when she comes into AKB, she obviously liked the group enough to audition.

The 15th gen starts off to a good start I see. :._.: AKB48 got infiltrated by the ENEMY!!!11!einseinself lol

And I can't tell those new girls apart. Look all the same with their long black standard hairstyle. And they all look really young...

Uh...question. Do they annouce the preliminary vote count after the first day like last year? I'm deciding who to vote for after I had a look at that. (Wasamin or Fuuchan, Wasamin or Fuuchan, Wasamin or...aaaarrg)

I hope YesAsia isn't as slow as they sometimes tend to be. I don't want my vote go to waste. Hurry up YesAsia-kun!

As for the rich wotas buying truckloads of singles: I don't get it but it's nothing I fuss about. But I have to say it's a waste of resources to produce all those CDs essentially just to include the voting ticket, all the garbage it produces.

Mine was from CDJapan because I ordered 3 and the shipping for YesAsia isn't less expensive.... :._.:

If your is Fedex it will probably arrive soon

I guess I got mine FURAGETO~  :datass:

I took the standard shipping because fast shipping is more expensive than the CD itself. No way I pay that much money.

The shipping usually takes one and a half to 2 weeks and the voting period is roughly 2 and a half weeks. I took the gamble.xD Now, if they fuck up the shipping and ship it out 2 or three days late.... then the time window get's reeeeeally narrow for me.  Just crossing my fingers here. lol

The Cd looks actually pretty nice. The covers alone looked a bit cheap but the CD jacket is quite nice. And you got really lucky with your photos there. Congrats.
