I can't help but think if you're a serious photographer and you're using an iPhone as a camera, you're not a serious photographer.

Not sure why you're being negged...I get what you said though. Sometimes I see people come in with DSLR cameras and their smart phones, when I offer to use their camera they tell me "no, just use my phone." I cry a little inside when people say this to me. No way you're getting the same quality.

Having said that, my phone takes photos as clear as this. His photos are stunning because they are landscape photos with correct lighting. Right place, right time. Beautiful stuff. He sure has an eye for how to frame shots (especially that first one :stare: ).

i disagree... tbh..... assuming that the only way to be considered a serious photographer then... would be if you are still developing your own film in a makeshift bathroom dark room.

The iphone does pretty much everything that the top of the line digitals are doing... or a little less/more.... there's not much difference imo...

photography is about having an eye to capture something in a way that most other people wouldn't think of or bother with... and then apply a context....

it's not about the equipment.

I have a friend who's a published photographer, who's dad owns a studio in NYC... she uses all types of camera... including polaroid... takes brilliant pictures.
