It appears as though she's changed the way she romanizes her name, as well?

Right after "Hello Boy"/the 1st Mini was released, I asked all the members their preferred romanizations ("official" ones for international fans to use). She specifically told me she liked "Lim Soo Hyun", so that was the way I've been writing it all this time lol

 

I think I'm going stick with "Soohyun", though... out of habit ^w^ just like how Hyosung > Hyoseong haha

Subin tagged the beauty team N*White primarily works with, in her first post. Also, Subin's friend asked her 잘ì°ì—ˆì—…? (Did you shoot well?), in the comments of the second. It seems like the members did have some sort of photoshoot or filming, yesterday?!??! (Kind of hard to tell which because "ì°ì–´" is used for both taking pictures and taking video ><) It must've been something pretty big since they probably went out for a celebration dinner!

 

If this is related to their comeback, they could possibly be returning as early as next month??? :D

So... As you can see from Subin's latest posts and her current IG bio, she's no longer a member of N*White. This news really came out of nowhere, since it seemed like Subin and Hakyung were preparing for a potential comeback (with new members?? idk)... I DM'ed Subin to ask what she has planned and if there was anything she wanted me to tell int'l  fans; this is what she wrote:

 

I'm sorry I couldn't protect N*White until the end.

I'll prepare so that I can continue to do music and future activities.

 

 

I also originally mentioned that I wanted to send her a letter for her birthday, but she implied that she wouldn't get it at the company... So she's not with J&J Ent. anymore. She didn't say anything about what Hakyung and Soohyun are up to, so I don't know. There is a possibility that Hakyung could be staying with J&J Ent, and become a full-time actress? It seems unlikely for them to try to continue "N*White" with just Hakyung?.. But the way Subin said "Sorry I couldn't protect N*White to the end" makes it sound like "N*White" still exists??..  ///At this point, are they really N*White, though???... :(

 

They trained for years, together and individually, but were only able to have a semblance of real promotions for 2 weeks. I will never forget staying up to stream their debut performance on Inkigayo... They were glowing with happiness ^^

J&J Ent. kind of screwed up their timing by making them come back/debut during the 2015 Summer Girl Group War... but they got to promote at the same time as SNSD, so I'm sure they were happy since they're all big Sones XD (I wonder if Soohyun took a selca with Taeyeon?!)

 

Maybe things would have turned out differently if they had the chance to promote this in 2014, with Lina...? T^T

One of the most underrated releases of 2015. The MV and song were top quality.

It was poor timing coming back with so many big groups... but if they had never come back when they did, who knows if they ever would have :(

 

 

 

Sigh I really liked these girls. I wonder if the company will ever tell us if they completely got disbanded.

Doubt it. Their company is a joke. They don't even have a website (clue #1 to determine whether or not a company is legit, right? lollll) They rarely posted announcements through the fancafe. Most of the time, the only reason fans ever knew what was going on was because Subin would post on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, or we'd have to go search for the info ourselves. K-fans confirmed Soohyun left last year; Subin insinuated that she was no longer with J&J Ent; idk if Hakyung is still with them. I'm sooo tempted to ask Subin what happened (did they leave voluntarily or were they "let go"???), but I don't want to bother her... it's not like she'd spill anything, to me, anyway... since I've never actually met them lol They seem pretty close with a few longtime K-fans, though... Hmm I can try asking one I know if she's got any info??

 

Maybe the company took care of and supported the members a little better behind the scenes (which is doubt ful since Soohyun was believed to have left because of "poor conditions at the company"), but their apparent, blatant disregard for promoting N*White was painful. Have you guys ever tried looking for N*White fancams? Can't find any, right?... because N*White never had any schedules! Rookies, especially nugu groups, are often seen hustling to perform at events everywhere... N*White only had a handful of public event performances over the past 2 years; it seems like they performed more often and were more active when they were trainees.

 

Could their company have lacked the financial ability to support the group?...Yeah... But the fact that N*White were able to consistently work with ZigZagNote for music, Soonsoo Beauty for hair/makeup, and filmed really high quality MV's just makes the situation super puzzling. Or maybe they were just another unlucky group from a small company that was destined for obscurity, to only be loved by a small group of fans, this whole time T^T 

 

At this point, I think it's safe to say "N*White" is over :( They all seem done with the group/J&J Ent. (Lina  seems to have been over it longgg ago, and that's why she left in 2014), want to move on, and were probably the most frustrated about the whole thing turning out like this. The members have the advantage of having years of training and experience, and they're still relatively unknown, so they could re-debut, again. Together? Not sure. It's becoming more common for new idol group members to be from the '95-'01 lines, and Subin and Hakyung are kinda up there age-wise; compared to older, currently active idols they're not that old! haha Soohyun probably has the best chance of re-debuting, because she's '95 line. But I don't know if she's still up for idol life? No idea what she's up to, now.

 

If N*White was already on track to disbanding last year, Soohyun could've gone really far had she tried out for Produce 101...

 

She's like Han Hyeri's big sister,

 

 

 

 

... with a voice that could rival Kang Sira (literally!) and Yoo Yeunjung's...

(I love all of them; just pointing out similarities! hehe)

AKDJFSDLg I will forever resent the fact that WJ Ent. never uploaded an official HD Taeyeon cover, after Soohyun appeared on "Hidden Singer" T_____T She was 3rd overall , and was #1 for rounds 1-2!!!

We never really got to hear what Subin and Hakyung can do :( Lina had an awesome voice, as well (she kinda reminds me of SS's Lee Haein) So much potential... Hopefully they'll start sharing more clips of themselves singing... I miss their voices.

On a somewhat related note: their labelmates Tenyard probably also disbanded? They haven't done anything since their mini album was released, last year... Typical emotional Korean ballads (they SANG on 

 tho!!!) good looks, amazing vocals - they had it all to become another "nation's boy group", like a younger version of 4Men? lol But the company screwed that up, too...
