FNC vs Crying Nuts feud still continues after FNC files an Injunction for Crying Nuts

Recommended Posts

With the lawsuit still going on, FNC Entertainment has decided to file for an injunction to prevent Crying Nut from spreading information.

According to legal affiliates on July 1, FNC Entertainment has filed an injunction on June 27 at the Seoul Central District Court for Crying Nut to delete information on its official site about the issue and to keep mum until the lawsuit is over.

“The lawsuit is still going on and the results have yet to come, but [Crying Nut] is posting through its official site that CN Blue has robbed it of intellectual property rights,†said FNC Entertainment on the request for a gag order.

“We’re asking that they stop talking about their side of the story so openly and as if it was the truth.â€

In February, Crying Nut’s agency, Drug Records, filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement against FNC Entertainment for a CN Blue performance from 2010 in which the band used Crying Nut’s song.

FNC Entertainment blamed Mnet, who later admitted fault, but Drug Records stayed firmin its lawsuit as Mnet has already compensated the group.

FNC Entertainment apologized for the issue, which was followed by another official statement from Crying Nut.

Everyone forgot about it...Way to bring it back up FNC. Dumbass move in my opinion

I disagree. Anyone who has been following the case and read the info released to the public will realize where fault lies. They've already been compensated by Mnet (and it was done quietly). What Crying Nut is doing rn is overkill and if what has been released so far is true, they're going to lose this case. Knetz just make a lot of noise but they really don't reflect the general public. So let them be angry/spew trash like they normally do. If/when they win the lawsuit, knetz will either stfu our keep spouting BS.

i'm tired of this, Han CEO need to stop this, there's nothing good will come out of this even though cnblue is not at fault ( Crying Nut obviously milking out the situation for their album release back then)

and this will bring more bad publicity to cnblue as well

Ok now crying nut is doing too much they already got paid, it was one performance come on.

i think there's ill-feeling/grudges involved, the 'veterans'/old school k-rock band doesn't like the idea of a mainstream idol band, idt they'll be forgiving of what happened

idk why people negged you. It's come out that Mnet was at fault because they asked CN BLUE to do the song and the had messed up on getting permission to release it. If I remember correctly, Crying Nut is mad that the song was released in a DVD and is therefore getting some sort of profit. It was Mnet that released it and I doubt CN BLUE saw much of that money. Their lawsuit is more of a statement against idol bands. I understand their point about idol bands infiltrating the K-rock market but trying to bring a band's career down over something you know wasn't their fault is terrible.

Unless more information comes out where CN BLUE (and their company) was at fault, I think I'll side with them (seeing as how Crying Nut was already compensated by the people who actually made the mistake).

Holy shit 3,000+ upvotes

This will do more damage to their image than anything Crying nut said about them on their website.

That it's not translated to English (because nobody outside Korea cares about Crying Nut) does not mean that things are quiet in Korea.

On the contrary, Crying Nut are probably talking in Korea all the time (which is why it's become so big that it has this many upvotes and why they've filed for this injunction).

And damn, it's really scary how stories becomes "general accepted truths" in Korea.

*Looks at T-ara and Tablo*

Really hope that CNBLUE/FNC can win this lawsuit and sue Crying Nut for damages because shit like this need to be stopped.

Crying Nut is in fact going overkill with this case. Mnet was the one who told CN Blue to perform the song. They were rookies at the time, they were in no position to do otherwise. Mnet added that performance to a DVD against FNC's wishes. FNC even put up a notice on their website asking fans not to buy that DVD. FNC and CN Blue didn't gain a cent from the sales, Mnet raked in the money in that DVD. This is why Mnet admitted to their fault and compensated Crying Nut. At this point, Crying Nut is suing over "integrity" and general butthurt. Netizens will always side with the K-indie band. I also remember reading something a while ago about FNC possibly suing Mnet over the damage to their image—and let's not forget, FNC is one of Mnet's subsidiaries. That hasn't materialized as far as I'm aware.
