After the first episode, jackson, that old dude and sunny were disappointments. Young ji went from promising to a favorite.

sorry but for the sake of discussion and curiosity, disappointments how?

a side note, Youngji has become a favourite as well but it may have to do with the screen time that she got

anybody know where this is from?

I expected more uncalled for backflips and culture clashes, like a semi-real "curb your enthusiasm".

Let's hope this season focuses on the interaction between the members in the house, I skimmed through the later half of season 1, it just didn't feel natural.

A shitty interview where Bom goes to bed after one line is 100 times better than an hour of bungyjumping, and I dont even care for her, although the drug scandal is kinda ballin'.

well, if the previews hold true (one can never too sure), there will be more flips in episode 3 but at the same time, i do think Jackson is curbing his enthusiasm. In fact, i think many are already saying that they're tired of the flips and that he is trying too hard (this seems to be the major complaint). still, i think Jackson is just being himself, responding how he would to people regardless of cameras. the flips also function as a way to introduce his group Got7 (one of their strengths is martial arts tricking) aside from being fun for the camera. that's why he does it during introductions but rarely would flip by himself in his room, if you know what i mean. :)

as for culture clashes, Joon, otani and jackson approach those issues more like adults rather than blowing up which might be what some people think makes for good tv. plus, they've already stayed in korea for years so those clashes are bound to be less frequent. i guess what i'm trying to get at is that they want to be themselves rather than create tension and clashes for entertainment sake. so that's what they're trying to do, be natural :)

i stopped watching season 1 around the time of Shin's birthday... it just got too tedious and slow-moving for me. did they actually bungy jump?

PD Park shared a photo of Roommate Season2 cast members during a press conference on October 10 at Seongbuk-dong.

and looks like Chae Yeon (actress) was also a guest on Roommate (, in addition to Yoona and Danny. seems they all visited at different times

On October 11, Park Min Woo uploaded a photo onto his personal Instagram with the caption, “Young So-Geo [‘so geo’ means ‘elimination,’ he is referring toHeo Young Ji's soundless laughs that has become a hot topic among viewers], Gook Bo Sung [referring to Lee Gook Joo's impersonation of Kim Bo Sung], Min-triever, Na O-Kya [O-Kya is used as a shortened name for ‘Orange Caramel’].â€

In the released photo, members Heo Young JiLee Gook Joo, Park Min Woo, and Nana are smiling towards the camera. Lee Gook Joo has a funny mask on her face, reminding everyone of her impersonation of Kim Bo Sung. The photo is gathering much love as it emits a family-like aura among the members.

Meanwhile, “Roommate†recently launched its second season with new members Park Joon Hyung, Otani Ryohei, Bae Jong Ok, Lee Gook Joo,Girls’ Generation’s SunnyKARA’s Heo Young Ji, and GOT7’s Jacksonjoining the original members Lee Dong Wook, Jo Se Ho, Park Min Woo, Seo Kang Joon, and Nana.

I sort of agree with you, but I feel like Nana is a person who has enough balls to say no to thing as well. So if she really did not want to be a part of this "love line", she would have said so, don't you think?

i thought she did. she certainly gave many clues and hinted many times that she didn't want to be in a loveline with SeHo (the first few episodes) but seeing the ratings drop and also how much screentime that forced loveline gave her, i bet she reluctantly went with it.... given a choice, she wouldn't have

Oh no wonder it was such a huge increase in ratings. I honestly think a lot more people  are watching this season but I was expecting they would watch it online for ep.4 too. I hope the ratings wouldn't drop so much next ep and yeah hopefully they gained more solid viewers. Was ep. 4 fun tho?

oh yes, ep 4 was fun... laughter inducing all the way with some anxiety at the end to bring in a good balance :)

Why are they moving it to a different time slot? Was it stated? and do you know what are the new competitions in that timeslot?

yeap! according to sports chosun (news site). It'll be replaced by KPopStar 4 in November. So KPopstar will air on Sunday and Roommate will move to Wednesday!

I'M THRILLED THEY'RE NOT CANCELLING IT!  :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:

Well, if that is true, it's certainly good news!

But I'm not putting on my party hat yet, since the Korean press is notoriously unreliable. Remember how it was reported that Roommate was supposed to end after 10 episodes just a few days ago?

So yeah, while I'm not ready yet to get out the champagne, I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll get to see more of this interesting & entertaining bunch after November!

how right you are. someone reported on twitter that SBS says the shift is not true and that it is too early to decide anything right now...

man.....

THERE ARE NEW TEASERS!

it's boys bonding night! with youngji included. hahaha. it's funny how jackson is often the only guys with the girls and youngji the only girl with the guys

I agree. personally i think the Pd's choice of scheduling priorities shows. I think for the first two rounds of filming, especially the first one (moving in, picnic, english class, shopping, friends visiting), the PD's made sure that the new cast were free which explains why the new cast members were there for the majority of the stay, hence their screentime in comparison with the old cast members. This might also have been the case for the second round of filming, the first episode of which was in Episode 5. These choices make sense because they are the new members so the pd's choose to introduce them, let the audience get a sense of them and the personalities, show the beginnings of developing relationships etc, which is the concept this time round.

So people who have problems accepting the fact that the old cast has less screen time should take all this into account and really stop complaining about how little screentime this member or that member has, or how they 're missing most of the time. It's only the first filming. at least the pd team made sure that the second time round, most of the members are there hence the all inclusive 12 member family photos.

After this, i bet/hope/wish that the Pd's scheduling priorities will be more balanced.... that is.... IF the show continues! i hate thinking that it'll end in 10 episodes!  :horror:

Yea it works. I kept refreshing mwave before I saw it on twitter lol. KBS is ruling.

I usually don't care about rating, but in this case, like you said on prev page, the rumour of 10 episodes just haunting me that I can't help to monitor the rating every week  prayer circle :._.:

Lol, I really liked Lee Soon Jae. "Boys also sleep in the house? Well, if they play it right, someone can get hitched"

I have a question. 40,000 people attended the g.o.d concert but I remember that the narrator said that the tickets (18,000) were sold out in 20 minutes. How do 18,000 tickets translate to 40,000 people?

Aldo, Kang Joon always seems so apathetic, maybe he's just tired. Does anyone else think this as well?

maybe those tickets were the first batch to be sold. later, they sold other batches?

as for kang joon, he's the main lead in a drama so he's bound to be tired. :)
