My Mom made a comment about us being super weird for doing it. I jokingly defended it by saying that All Star by Smash Mouth is a great song that is apart of everyone's everyday lives. My Mom and sister then both proceed to get really mad and try to argue with me about how All Star by Smash Mouth is not apart of our everyday lives. I don't know about them, but the song comes up pretty often in my life. I think about it at least once a day for some reason or another. Plus it plays so many places like in Shrek, grocery stores, places where they play crappy songs, and on youtube when I type in All Star by Smash Mouth. I brought up that point to my Mom and she got really mad. It was a big family argument over All Star by Smash Mouth. What's the stupidest thing your parents got mad at you over? She ended up completely fucking me over, treating me and my house like garbage and going nowhere productive, so I told her to get the fuck out. She twisted it and called my mom to tell her that I've been malicious and unsupportive and am now trying to remove her from the house. Despite knowing full well that was a lie and my sister is a disaster, my parents stripped me of rent benefits and transferred them to her because they knew I would be able to get back up on my own feet. She had this ridiculous ass thought that all students should never wear flip flops to school because...well it doesn't make you a "student" if you do. I was cutting one, and she started telling me that the way I cut them is wrong and I need to do it like she does. I told her I cut it the way I want to and it doesn't matter. Insert a bit more back and forth on her trying to tell me how her way of cutting them is right and me telling her no I'm cutting it how I like to have it cut. She then proceeds to flip out yelling about how I never listen to her. Which is a tie with my mom flipping the hell out on me for hanging up a shirt crooked on the hanger. She asked me to take some laundry from the washer and hang it up on the bathroom shower curtain rod to dry. I finish and left, but apparently hung up one shirt crooked. I can hear her yelling my name across the house as she's storming over to my room, throws my door open and starts yelling about the shirt. I was eating a bag of chips at the time and she even grabbed the OPEN bag and hit me with it, chips going everywhere. Actually maybe this one is worse. One example, when i was like 8 or 9, i got a 79 on a classwork grade (like it literally didn't affect my grade much) & she slapped me really hard. another time she threw my phone & broke it because i didn't want to go somewhere with her (I'm a very respectful person & these were not a result of me being disrespectful towards her or yelling or anything. You can pretty much get into trouble for the most smallest and inane things. For instance, my mother once became enraged when I didn't come down stairs immediately (I didn't take any longer than 20 seconds to get there) after she called for me, when i finally arrived she then proceeded to lecture me about how in African culture, children must obey their parents orders... And I shit you not, I made the horrible mistake of BLINKING, yes folks, blinking. I blinked and she mistook it as me rolling my eyes at her, at this point my mother lost her shit.. She began to rant on about how "messed up and disrespectful" my generation is, and how rude it is to roll your eyes at your mother, and as I was about to interject and explain that all I did was blink, my sudden impulse to speak back agitated and enraged her further.. She was now yelling "you now have grown, to talk back to your mother, now? ".. Before I could answer that and explain myself. ..I GET FUCKING SLAPPED!
