For me I'm trying my best to manage my time with school and other things. I never thought It would be so layed back but really hard at times it's SO much different in high school. Like I actually studied and like work my hardest.

It's actually really hard sometimes trying to study when you get sidetrack.

How's college for you for your first year?

Or anyone that graduated or is in college how was your first year for you? Like how was your experience for your first year?

Oh, and if you can gives us freshman advice please do so!

Sob story time: My first year I had to leave my family because I won a scholarship to Australia. I haven't been back home in 5 years and now I can't contact my mother (and haven't been able to for 2 months) because she's moved to Poland to be with her parents after Russia started becoming delulu.com - as far as I'm aware, she's okay though.
Anyway.
Apart from all the usual advice - study hard/prioritise/make time to exercise and sleep well etc. my advice would be to not worry about making too many friends in your first year in your course of study.
Honestly, I know it comes across as a bit strange, but you will be surprised how many people change their mind/drop out of university or just are terrible people to have around while you're studying.
I finished my first degree with only two friends from university to my name, but a great GPA (7/HD - I think that's a 4 for Americans) because I wasn't too busy wasting time with people who weren't there to learn.

So still can't contact your parents?! That must be horrible :( but wow scholarship in Australia that's amazing! Was it completely different from your other country ? Did you catch an accent there lol ?

And thank you ! I am kinda worry about making friend here in UT. But like now that you said I should study more. But like I don't wanna like study so much that I become like a loner and have no friends.

And I'm so scared of dropping out I really don't want to but like a lot of people are doing that.

Aha, my Russian accent is still quite thick. I can do an alright impression, that's about it. There should be plenty of clubs on campus where you will be able to make friends with similar interests. There is even a Korean Appreciation Society at the university I study at and that helped me make a few friends and now I catch up every weekend with a few people I became close to and we discuss all things K-Pop. Hopefully you will find a similar club :)

Also as long as you study, you shall be fine. Just make sure to set aside time to do it every night for at least 30/45 minutes per block of homework/readings you are given and you will succeed! :D

It's been fine so far.

It really is a lot different than high school but I have older relatives that are in or just recently graduated to give me a bunch of tips before I started.

I'm taking an accelerated tract right now and honestly as long as you are reading and studying to keep up with your lectures and then reviewing every day classes seem kind of easy

But idk I haven't taken an exam yet so don't take my word yet lol
