Ah fans, you got so many types of fans but with KPOP you have specialized fandoms that are so divisive that result in fandom wars and acts of malice against one another through the internet. So i have decided to look at some fan archtypes that is part of kpop as a whole

The Expat

The Expat are generally Asian immigrants who had been exposed to Top40 pop for too long and got fed up with it. When they heard about KPOP, they quickly swarm to kpop to satisfy their heritage cneeds. The Expat is often quick to denounce American pop and calls it porn but cannot make up the mind if they are conservative or liberal.

ZNC48s (JPOP Turned KPOP fan)

The Japanese music market is not what you call open to foreigners, from a physical dominated market to giving you only short version pvs to watch without the ability to spill your comments on the YT comment page most of the time. The JPOP market has created a bunch of fans who are desperate for asian pop. With KPOP's rising fame since 2008 they quickly swarm to the cheap Korean music and become fans of the genre. They are often broken down into two different types

The National Traitor is KPOP fans who wants the genre to become like their former genre, cutesy girl groups and flower boy bands who you can't tell if it's a man or woman. The National Traitor is a conservative to the core and often slut shames female artists who dress too proactively or do not act like the idols that left an empty void in the traitor's  heart.

The Kanryuko on the other hand is the utter opposite, believing the Hallyu will destroy Japan's market with the help of the foreigners and can be delusional to believing that it actually exceeds American pop when in reality that without the help of American hip hop, no one would really listen to KPOP at all. Still they would go to Japanese pop culture forums and talk about how KPOP will take over the world, they may dominate the current music scene but calling them more famous than American pop is a good way to bite that whom feeds them

The 08's

2008 marked a turning point for KPOP as we saw the big three throw out their best pop groups. SNSD/Big Bang/Wonder Girls made their debut and  were the pioneers to try and dent the market (sadly it didn't work). The 08's often have a deluded sense of believing they were the best era of KPOP even though this era saw a lot of idols slowly losing their creative freedom as choreos and outfits become more harshly controlled.
