They are rookies, but is not unfamiliar.BESTie are a quartet of women who are active with "Pit-a-pat"(hyeyeon, 23 maintenance, 21, 20 dahye ridge, 19). If you look through the team ther are 3 familiar faces,  Hyeyeon and Yuji, and Hyeryung debuted with 2012 girl group  (EXID) and were active with the song 'Who'z dat Girl "but rested for a year thereafter. Bestie is a shortened version of the words 'best friend (Best Friend)', meaning they'll be as comfortable as a best friend.

 

The strongly addictive lyrics "doogeun doogeun doogeun doogeun" of their debut song "pit-a-pat" leave an impression. "Because we suffered through a pain once, we will not be apart again." Said Hyeyeon. "Though it's important to be pretty, I want to hear we're a strange girl group too", she laughed.

 

 

 

- When did the team come together?

 

"When we all came together is just under a year ago. After it was confirmed, we've practiced daily for 7 monthes while we waited for our start" (Hyerung)

 

- Why did you leave your previous team?

 

"There was an issue with the company management. That team is also active so I wish them well." (Hyeyeon)

 

-The debut song is already background for "Gag Concert"

 

"Pit a pat" has an addictive hook and light fun rhythm. With a fresh performance added, uncle fans really enjoy it. If you keep listening to it, a strange addictioin develops. I think that's why it's been adopted by "Gag Concert" (Yuji)

 

- You have excellent facial expressions on stage

 

"We practice facial expressions alot. We even research eye rolls.  We especially practiced hard while watching 3 member group TLC's music videos. Expressing innocent first love of a teen is not as easy as we want."

 

- Did you like the song

 

"We wondered how we should sing it when we first heard the guide. Without lyrics, it seemed like a chinese song. After lyrics and choreography were added, we felt confident of it as a title song." (Hyeyeon)

 

- How much did you practice?

 

"We all go in at 2pm and practice until 4AM. In days with early dawns, if we come out of the underground practice room, it felt like we were freed from a trap. Was not exactly a good feeling. (laughs) Dark circles are so deep it's tough on the makeup artists." (Hyerung)

 

- It must be hard to diet at an age when you should eat a lot

 

"It's regretful that we can't eat alot because people praise us about how much we can really eat. When I really eat I've eaten a whole pan of pizza  and 4 cup ramens. At the heaviest I was 63kgs. I really like rice also." (Dahye)

 

- Do you have a special hobby?

 

"I like insect collection to the point of collecting shells. Not the ones people normally collect but even pillbugs , spiders <TL couple of insects I dont wanna bother looking up>. When I see members shocked faces, I want to tease them more. Members are cute when they cry that I'm mean." (Hyeyeon)

 

-It's pouring girl groups. What makes Bestie different.

 

"Each member has great ability so it's great no matter what the combination (laughs). We have confidence we can be solos or units. It's fun when all four are together but if you look at each individually, we have variety of charms." (Yuji)

 

- What kind of girl group do you want to be remembered as?

 

"It would be good to hear we're a strange group. Good performance and singing should be a base. We want to be a special team that trys something different. That's why we sing this song with a strange pronounciation twist." (Dahye)
