For anyone who wants to learn about Mainland China Pop Culture, bascially China's best kept secret, the Superboy competition （快ä¹ç”·å£°ï¼‰ is a good way to start. Keep in mind that Mainland Pop is not the same Taiwan Pop. Also, if you did not grow up knowing Mandarin, most of the show may be lost to you, and don't hold your breath for any sort of English sub either.

It is kinda different, in that Super Boy is basically a trainwreck that you can't look away from until the national top 10 is revealed，while Super Girl is actually watchable in the preliminary stages. However, the final contestants are usually individually more popular than those of Super Girl.

 

And I did not know 洪辰 has a English name. When you said Pan Chen I was like who?
