Stupid virus help, I am seriously 10 seconds away from throwing my computer

Okay guys, I seriously need your help in getting rid of this stupid virus thing I have on my computer. It's called "findthebestdeeal" and this is what happens.

It also highlights random words and so whenever I hover over it, this pop up pops up and it's so frustrating. I literally spent about 2 hours trying to get rid of it but it's not working. I ran my computer through malwarebytes three times already and it doesn't seem like it's picking up on it. I also ran it through trojan killer but the damn thing won't let me kill the viruses unless I register. I used other programs too but it doesn't seem like it's working either. It's making my computer go so slow and I just ugh. If you guys have the time I'll really appreciate it if you guys help me with this OTL.

ohhh that happened to me a few days ago

since u use google chrome,

click on the 3 bars sign on the top right of the google chrome window

click on tools then extensions

check if there's anything you dont really need (hopefully there is because idk what else would help) and uncheck it

Are you sure this isn't something that's an add-on/extension for your Chrome browser that you need to disable?

yeah. delete the extension. just go into settings on chrome.

I already deleted the extensions that I didn't know of but that bestofdeal thing still didn't go away.

If that doesn't work, go to control panel<uninstall a program< delete any unfamiliar names, or just the name of this toolbar

Yeah I did that too but it STILL didn't work.

Can you take a full screenshot? Because the picture is too small.

Close out all your windows and check again if it's there in the extensions.

if it is just uncheck it, dont delete it

if that doesn't work

go to settings, scroll to the bottom and click show advanced settings.

scroll down again and click reset browser settings

Did you meant, the pop-up ads? If yes, then try this:

If that doesn't work, go to control panel<uninstall a program< delete any unfamiliar names, or just the name of this toolbar

^

I think you should try this.

I had the same thing and all I did was uninstalled any programs (usually they're the latest dated ones and the ones you don't remembering installing in the first place.).

If you, OP, is having the same situation, then I guess that's one of the solution to come up with. ^^

Try this

go into your C:\(start->computer->local disk) and go into Program Files and delete the folder that has the name of "findthebestdeal"

delete it and then empty your recycle bin

go to your computer and uninstall a program, scroll down til you find it and uninstall?

or try to google a solution

go to your programs

look for any recently installed program that you can't identify

then go reset your browser

when i installed cheatengine it bunch-installed pureleads for me so i got those lame popup ads

ez uninstall

See that's the thing, I already uninstalled it but it's still here. I don't know what else to do.

does it pop up in all browsers or just google chrome?

I went on firefox just to check and it seems like it's just chrome that it's popping up on but I don't have any unknown extensions.....

I'd say restore it, but if you can't just delete google chrome and reinstall it

Check to see if it's a program that's installed on your computer. Even if it appears it's just the browser, it might be installed in your computer plaguing something else.

My brother had the same problem and it just kept getting worse and worse (to the point where the ads would pop up on his desktop). I had to manually uninstall all of the related programs (which were all malwares) one by one and then restore the browsers (because it had changed it's homepage and all) and restart the computer.
