I had my hang ups anyway...stemming from Sims 3 stuff....that kept me from blindly purchasing...but i didn't expect the reviews to be as bad as they are. I expected bugs, i expected patches, i expected that the game would be reasonably minimal in order to urge you to buy all the expansions and online updated/packages.... but based on the reviews, the issues seem to surpass all of that....I'll stick with Sims 2 + 3 for now... 4 is apparently not better than either. Pop Pop Pop 184 Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 They don't seem to understand they can't make us keep starting back at square 1 with a basic game that we have to buy all the good parts for. With all the content missing (even a lot of stuff that has been in past base games), I don't care how nice the engine is or how much better the AI is, it's not worth it. I'll probably lay out a few hundred in a couple years when there are some CC, store content, and expansions to make the game experience fuller. That's if the game doesn't completely fail like SimCity. But I sincerely doubt it will. Face it. This is a cash cow that doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. (Hell, I just admitted I'll probably end up throwing money at them eventually.) In the meantime, I'll play other things and use 2 and 3 to get my fixes.
