Well y'know, sometimes it's the melody, instrument choice, structure etc. Could be a whole host of things. I think people calling it 'bad' probably just mean they don't like it, but I agree that would be a bad word choice when it's objectively an absolutely fine song, and couldn't even be considered bad due to experimentalism or anything (like Cherry Bomb, I still think that song is really bad)

On the topic of Izone the ranking is something like: Yuri - supports Chaewon - shallow, inconsistent support Chaeyeon/Eunbi/Nako - don't support but have potential Yujin/Yena - don't support and are airy but also have potential And then personally I think Minju has more potential than what people give her credit for but maybe I just like her voice.

It has to do with getting the audience to relate and essentially put themselves in one of the character's shoes. Almost everyone watching anime has been to high school, therefore they know the feeling. However many high schoolers watch anime and don't know what college or adult life is like so that would be alienating an entire audience, whereas a high school setting essentially includes everyone, even if it's getting people to think back to high school times. Also college isn't even that different from high school most of the time, just more drinking and relationship drama usually haha

I simply hear different things than you haha for me it's Jennie>Jisoo≥Rose But really the difference is quite miniscule and they don't have that many good examples for analysis so honestly there's not too much point in ranking them imo. Honestly I could say they're pretty much all equal because the fact that Rose has shallow support sometimes is pretty much cancelled out by her nasality to me. I'd like to see her do that exercise where you sing with your nose blocked and see how different she sounds, because I have a feeling she's not just overly nasal as in too much twang but is actually also singing nasally.

I don't see how Jisoo is worse than Rose? Like none of them are really far away from each other, but Jisoo and Jennie can at least sing in a relaxed manner. Rose has become practically incapable of this since she's been at YG, she almost always strains, practically doesn't have a comfortable area of her voice, and always has that weird tension. They go for style instead of technique. It's short-sighted since the kind of 'training' YG gives wrecks your voice long-term, but they don't seem to really care about most of their artists anyway, especially not the female ones, so I can imagine they don't give a shit and just milk them for what they're worth when they're young and then throw them away when they get older, like 2ne1.

That would support the mobius stip theory since there are two versions of optical isomers that are the same in the elements that make it up but are mirror images of each other and cannot be superimposed - like your left and right hand. So I just rewatched the LTV episode where they go to the theme park in NZ (which is called Rainbow's End if anyone was interested) and realised that first of all I've definitely sat in the exact same seats they sit in on the pirate ship ride, and have most probably sat in the same minecart and log flume as well since there are only about six of each and I've been on both of those rides dozens of times GUYS I HAVE BREATHED LOONA AIR I've also breathed Taeyeon and Mamamoo air since I've been where their MV's were filmed but I LITERALLY SAT IN THE SAME SEATS THAT 2JIN, HASEUL AND VIVI HAVE SAT IN Also that upside down ride they went on is legitimately scary lmao and they should've gone on the spaceship ride and the rollercoaster, plus the fear fall, they're like the best three rides except for that one Oh also the pirate ship ride has been closed down now so people can't sit where Loona's butts have been any longer it's very sad

I guess it makes sense, their first two big releases (chewing gum, first and last) were quite extreme boyish and then there was recently a sudden switch with 'GO', which personally I like the concept but don't actually like the song very much. I can get used to it for the visuals and choreo though, unlike cherry bomb which still gives me headaches if I try to listen to it (altho I endure for the amazing choreo lol) I'm looking forward to a new unit cus it feels like they've been covering slightly too many bases with nct u releases. Like surely some of those could've been grouped under a new subunit.
