  1. That's why I think Kijoong and Chan def have different charms although other people often clump them up together in the same category just because they're both cute. They have different kind of cute charms. Chan is obviously more mature and more like a pro? More like cheerful type of cute and he obviously knows how to play it up well. Though he's indeed naturally cheerful by default too. While Kijoong is more innocent and feels more raw, although he does have natural talents + confidence thus he shines a lot on stage.

The reason why I said Chan is more mature and more like a pro is not only because of their age. When you see what kind of expressions Chan puts up on different stages, especially the fierce ones, you'll see how knowledgeable and experienced he is by seeing his expressions only. It always has some kind of depth and on point to me. Although he's actually a rookie.

For the example in Bermuda cam. I was taken aback by his expressions here cuz I didn't know his expressions could be this good. And this was the turnpoint when I started to be really interested in Chan

Another one is All Day MV

He could make himself looks so fierce and hot by playing up with his expressions well despite his cute appearance, without appearing like a tryhard at all. He definitely has depth in performance skill and is quite experienced. Like he has pretty wide range of expressions and he pulled it off well.

yeah I have to agree now, I think Kijoong's cuteness is mostly coming more from his age, he is literally a baby. for Chan at this point it's his personality. Chan definitely not as innocent as he looks, like where did he learn to have such good expressions, to know exactly when and how many times to wink, his expressions are so good, he must work a lot on them but at the same time it doesn't seem like he is trying. I'd day he is a pro too. he knows exactly what his charm is and he has mastered it so well. on stage he is his own typa cute+fierce/hot.

I think him coming on this show opened up his potential so much, well A.C.E has only two songs but watching over them I didn't know either Chan was so versatile. yes he is  just a rookie but he has a lot of confidence, not just in performing but in every area.

His Red sun stage was first shocker for me too and then this

he is so good at whatever this is lol. also he is kinda weird in a good way, he kinda does unusual things and always jumping around smiling, idk how he has so much bright energy but he is indeed naturally very cheerful and positive.

  2. Unit B opened Japanese website and SNS through Marvel Ent

Looks like they may promote at Japan too, which makes sense considering they aired The Unit at Japan too.

Ikr and Kijoong happened to say the exact phrase right before Chan's turn lmao. Kijoong snatched Chan's long time cutie maknae title loll

Kijoong what have you done ajhdgsjd Im gonna call both cute maknaes

but Chan actually not so cute on stage recently, his expressions becoming darker and dangerous asurpriseblushplz.png

  3. Btw, since u guys talk about music shows MC.

Did any idols really increased their popularity (or even face recognition from public) due to these MC positions?

The last i remembered was Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum.

Any after that, it is either the idols themselves already have high popularity (Irene, Blackpink Jisoo, Yeri, Minho, TTS, etc) or else the position actually gain them nothing on popularity but MC experience.

Of course it is good for them for gain MC experience, but I see you guys are so excited like they will gain more popularity using position as MC which I think it is not the case.

Obviously it's a good exposure, especially for the ones that are able to catch fans easily.

being an MC alone, solely that won't propel them and their groups to next level or something, but it's a good area to gain some presence, this in addition to every other promo and variety appearances maximizes potential and when they all come together, it does make difference in the end.

I thought of Solbin too instantly. I often watched music bank and she caught my eye cause she was so pretty and I was like, what group she is from and ended up checking Laboum. things like this.

  4. Screaming that Kijoong stole the title of cutie maknae from Chan right in front of his eyes omg

he's always introducing himself as cutie maknae, watch him still say it out of habit until he realizes he's not the one here laugh.png laugh.png Im gonna miss it

  5. I'm so sad wthplz.png wthplz.png    dont sign any contract at all and let them go if he doesn't want to put effort in them

what he wanted produce 101 level?? Doesn't he realize phenomenons like that won't happen every time. It's not like it did that bad either, all that matters is potential and this boys have it all. I guess line up was too perfect for us to actually see them in motion. If yg wants to know he is the reason mix9 didn't do that well in the first place, no one was there for his bullsht and so many people were happy that this show was getting low ratings, everyone must hate him so much to the extent that they didn't even care these contestants are the one ended up being hurt, not yg. I'm sure he never had any plans for debut group regardless of how mix9 would do. does he even know why he started all this

I already realized something was really off when Donghun and Jason were so free having all the schedules with A.C.E, China trip etc  while unit ended and next morning debut groups were already doing their first schedule, now they have all the schedules lined up and another A.C.E member who made it there is pulled out from group schedules, while for Donghun and Jason, it's like they didn't even debut anywhere. I hope I'm too negative now and the outcome will be better because it's tragic now. I can't watch this.

  6. ^^ Can you believe a company this small did it tho?? like Beat is so small, A.C.E's small  practice room is their entire company. they have limited resources, they are new and don't even have other artists. How a company like this managed to produce such high quality group that A.C.E is basically that group

I guess hella smart and knowing where to put money and efforts. It seems like Beat collected the best trainees out there and formed a group. like how A.C.E said during v live that their CEO thought there were all aces so they named them so

  7. OK thanks for that info. Mentors did him wrong

You know there is another guy in A.C.E. who made it into mix nine who sings really high notes compared to CHAN.

I thought he was the main vocal, but  I see. Boy group songs don't really need Mariah Carey type notes anyway.

Anyway yeah I will stop being petty. I just like talking about Chan tbh

Donghun, and He is main vocal too 0u0plz.png Both are A.C.E's main vocals

if you like talking about Chan come help me revive this thread?? please and who cares about dumb youtube and twitter comments

  8. I don't believe Hansol hype. Hansol reminds me of Johnny of NCT before his debut and Herin from Idol School ( except Hansol is more plain, bland and forgettable). Now look at them, where are all of their supporter that keeps on hyping them. Those types of people are mostly those who are keep on typing " I will wait for you", " I will keep on supporting you" and when they finally debut or joining Idol producer like Herin case, they will be like, "Johnny who", "Herin who". Of course those SM tags could help in the short run since we could seen him getting into top 9, but how long can it stay as you need to have strong stage presence or talented enough that makes you go wow for it to go in the long run. And IDK how much can the SM tags could help him. Well just hoping for the best I guess and hope that he will change my mind.

I agree, I saw it too Hansol hype kinda vanished as soon as he stepped in unit. Thread about him leaving SM reached 10+pages before unit thing and I bet you, if I made a thread about Hansol in unit it wouldn't get over 1 page. I was wondering too where is this Hansol hype at now. What I meant here is he might be more useful to bring attention to the whole group, more than we give credit him for. This SM tag is useful for initial attention for final line up, I didn't mean all those NCT and SM fans hyping him up before are continuing supporting him now, I saw most of them didn't. so my comment wasn't for him, but in regards of bringing attention to unit b in total, so if not for Hansol, they might stay for someone else

  9. I don't think so. I think it's just a deduction Hangyul made based on the previous rank reveals. Because first 2 rank reveals included Chan, and then on the third one Chan disappeared and was substituted with Kijoong. And turns out Kijoong ends up as #8. Hence it seems like Chan went to #8 for a bit pushing Kijoong down, since there were no other previous #9 contenders who ended up on top 8, and only Chan stayed in the final reveal of #9 contenders. Meanwhile the other #9 contenders in the end were never showed before. Hence it's logical to assume that Chan was most likely the actual #9.

I actually saw this already, but I was too afraid to hope too much, hence I was super happy when Chan actually really ended up as #9.

I see, so he might have calculated in his head. When Chan was out of top9 candidates and Kijong replaced him, then Kijoong ended up 8th, it also ran quickly in my mind that him and Chan must have exchanged spots between 8-9th, but I couldn't believe it

That the ranking is arranged from left to right, from 9th to 12th place.

it's really arranged that way amgplz.png

    ----

I see Hansol as useful addition now. Not talent and charm wise, he was always kinda forgettable on stage and off stage, But he is former SM trainee, SM rookie member or almost debuted in NCT. Never followed NCT and SM rookies but I'd heard about him a lot before unit, everyone anticipating his NCT debut, then crying how SM lost their treasure etc there was a lot of hype about him. now this hype is I think resurrected again and these SM stans or NCT fans/EXO L are checking on him since he made it here, this brings some relevance and hype. Being big 3 associate especially SM is a powerful thing. If he gets even some part of SM stans interested in Unit B then that's a good thing.

  10. wow they are so busy already. Maybe unit group isn't the one I should be worried about

so what are KBS variety shows these people will be invited?? I don't really know those shows

expecting Chan to become everyone's favorite guest

  11. I've been talking about this a lot already I guess but idols won't won over people just from seeing how desperate and how they need it as the last chance when they're out there in Kpop world. They would just look whether your skill, visual, talent, personality worth stanning or not. Desperation would only gain pity but pity alone won't make you survive. So I guess it's important to see what these idols bring on the table more than desperation, cuz in reality Kpop world people wouldn't stan you just because you're desperate and actually need rebooting.

So I think what they bring on the table is important, even if it takes rookies to boost up their success as the group then why not. What matters is whether the rookies bring something on the table or not. If they prove themselves they're worth it and can be helpful in boosting the final lineup success rate then they should get in.

To me from unbiased aspect, the rookies in the lineup especially Chan are someone who'd boost the success rate of this rebooting group. He's super well rounded, has major stan attractor material especially for younger stans, and has great variety sense. He's also a fresh face who brings ACE hype from being successful on Mix9. In this rebooting sense, gaining new stans and younger stans are important because they need them to have more success in their own career once they're finished with the project group. Thus having stan attractors are important especially the ones who can bring younger stans. Hence these kind of people can be helpful for the rebooted idols in the final lineup to increase their rebooting efficiency, no matter whether they're rookies or not. Most of the lineup are still rebooted idols anyway.

watch him bring mix9 fans and mix9 is more hyped internationally and more like, how can I say, stannable group.

    I already see it.

Chan didn't save only vocals, he added everything there is to add for final line up. I'll say this and I'm really confident in this. Unit needed him more than Chan needed to debut here. call me delusional people but I really see so.

I'll never be not salty and hurt how Jeup and Seyong stayed out. yes, they should have made it. but someone else took their spot not Chan.

  12. I get the complaints about rookies debuting. I had no problem with Chan not debuting and actually I was the one saying Chan and A.C.E doesn't click well with this show and fit with the concept, so I was fine with them making only in mix9. but he got in and so in last minute, won over high ranked contestants, he was just supposed to make it. It proves he is major stan attractor. he still slipped in with limited screentime, yeah he should be last one subjected to jealousy because he is a rookie. I'd get complaints if he was the one pushed by KBS, but he literally never got storyline or significant screentime

but I'm still in shock that he made it, but when I analyze it I see a pattern how. Before last elimination I was sure he would rise a lot, after All day and possibly entering top9 then. because he was gaining so many upvotes, views and attention on naver, it seemed he gained a lot of fans and his stats was not just on par with top9, but more than half of top9. but after all day he stayed at 15 so I thought there was no way he would jump in top9 in the final.

I guess what really helped him was one pick. he never had general popularity, but he rose after every performance, collected fans after every little thing. then what really put him on the map for top9 was him winning center re selection and then Jun's All day team win. all these fans he gained showed their power during one pick. I guess he was everyone's strong 1st pick but not so much 2nd, 3rd etc lacking general popularity. the fact that Jun didn't make in the final made it possible for Chan to debut. since all the fans were voting only for Chan and I also saw mix9 fans who became A.C.E fans supporting Chan. His mid rank reveal helped too. I guess purely from online votes he was either 9-10th.

good lesson of the story is small steady rise and individual stans>>>quick phenomenal jumps and general likability aka Semmi

  13. Unit groups already have activities?? wtf give them a night sleep but I'm glad their promotions already starting strong

Why do you even have a grudge to begin with? ohpressor.png

cause being on top for no reason?? it just channeled into grudge cause I was salty he was ranking above everyone and not because of his own gain, and even when I think headstart is justified he couldn't live up to it. but I kinda warmed up to him after No way cause I liked his voice and  I'm glad my saltiness is over lol, honestly a good feeling
