Well, if they have enough vote rank high, they deserve that place regardless whatever reason people choose to vote them. If MNet very much care that only the talented one will have the higher rank, they will not open it up to public voting in the first place. The fact that Produce101 had showed countless of time that the one which is less talented can have higher rank than the more talented and the show still being open to public voting showed that MNet doesn't care.- 74,566 replies

It always like that even in PD101 S1 & S2. Why you think that Sohye become IOI member? Talent? Why you think Haknyeon and Jinyoung blow up even before the first performance? Talent? Regardless whether it is shallow or not the show is popular and that is all matter for MNet. You know what make it worse? The shows which their contestants are more talented and have better performance but they tanked really hard.

Pretty much the same reason why people spend their money to vote her to get 3rd place among hundreds of girls during the latest AKB48 SSK. Honestly, I think that MNet is intentionally allowed a bit of the leak just to keep the hype and discussion.

I don't know why when we discussing about BBY incident the stories goes that BBY Team 1 picked the weakest members, they being hated perpetuated by Japanese trainees fan. Full stop. End of story. Don't everyone remember that how much BBY Team 2 Japanese trainees are being hated because they looked like they had given up and lack of determination. Don't everyone remember how much "I don't like Erii" is being brought up here once every 100 pages until I get sick of it.

The discussion about the lack of vocalist remind me a lot with the discussion of final member of The Unit (UNB). It is not something new in KPop idol survival show.

The main question is why although they are so damn popular? Well, I agree with the part that if PD48 operate just like any typical KPop group, they will never enter that list but if they gain support from 48Brand and 48G ways of marketing they might (I think that is the primary motivation for CJ E&M to cooperate with AKS) and that is an achievement for temporary KPop group. Moreover it is not that weird if they use 48G ways of marketing since: Aki-P is one of the producer of the final group Produce48 being marketed as "Produce101" meets "Idol you can meet".

Are you expecting they promoted like TWICE and having the sale like TWICE within 2.5 years. Even Wanna One and IOI cannot do that.

If they get full support as part of 48brand in Japan and at least have NGT48 level of sale. I think that is an achievement for temporary KPop group.

Of course. That is why I think in the first post that you quoted "stage presence" is not the correct term. Of course but the fact that she is the most popular one which the fan are willing to spend money on her among hundreds of girls in 48G showed that she have certain quality that make people to hooked up on her before Produce48. If you cannot make people hooked up on you and support you because of your talent. You are basically screwed up in the idol world.

That is practically what I said. Well, even without Produce48 she is already popular and even before Produce48, she have the quality that make people support her. That is why she is the only original HKT48 members that rank in 4th SSK. Moreover, she actually not the one that management push as HKT48 center initially. If this show had lost the Korean public interest, how about other survival show like Boys24, Idol School, Mixnine and The Unit? I don't think the stage presence is correct word. Maybe there are certain qualities that make Sakura can grab people attention and make people to support her. It is like P101 S2 which Haknyeon had gathered fan left and right even before the first performance or like Jihoon which one steap a head in compare with other contestants just by winking. Go Yujin might be talented and all but what is her progress in the competition?

Of course Mnet is not in critical conditions without Produce series. But it is mean that Mnet doesn’t have any interest with AKB48. No, Mnet survival show is the proof of that. That is why I say that “KPop doesn't slightest needs AKB48" is over exaggerated. Regardless whether other survival show which try to mimic Produce popularity is succeeded or not doesn’t matter. What matter is the success of Produce lead to other companies tries to mimic it.

Not really. My point is that the term "KPop doesn't slightest needs AKB48" is over exaggerated since it connotes that MNet never ever know AKB48, even they know they doesn't have interest with them. In fact, not only they know AKB48, but they implemented the AKB48 element in their survival show and one of their survival show lead to major success, bring something new to KPop and lead to other companies trying to replicate it.

Why we discuss something that happen 4-5 weeks ago? This is Produce series. People hate for ridiculous reason. Regardless whether she should or shouldn't do that, the Boombayah Chowon team won. That girl had been eliminated. Eri trending. Boombayah arc give foundation to Hyewon and Chowon to propel up to top 12. Case closed.

No. MNet use AKB element to make Produce101 which bring something new in KPop. Therefore the term slightest is incorrect since MNet as part of KPop had eyeing AKB48 for long time.

Slightest is over exaggerated since MNet survival show is basically being influenced by AKB48 element.
