If you're talking about that new-age sounding stuff then Sky-Hi's Trickster takes the cake. Super Sonic's Scratch Your World is really good too, and Ken the 390's 7. Salu's best album is actually his free mixtape from least year called BIS2, don't know if you heard that or not.

That's not even close to the best J-Rap album out this year....it's actually quite disappointing if you ask me.

Yeah Kojoe's album 51 State is one of the best Hip-Hop albums I've heard in a while. It feels like Section 80 but with better production. Killah Been's album is great too, his flow is one of the best I've heard. I think they're both available on Itunes. JJK's album The Arrival is flatout amazing

Yeah the two best Japanese rappers at the moment (Killah Been and Kojoe) imitates the American sound and works with American producers so I think it kinda sets the tone for the whole scene. But at least they do it really well so I can't complain. Just listened to one of YDG's albums....didn't really enjoy it, but it was from 2006 though, maybe the new stuff sounds better

After browsing a lot of the songs I have to say I'm really impressed. It seems that Korea makes the best Hip-Hop in all of Asia, with Japan coming in at number 2. I have to say the thing that separates Korea from Japan is that all the Korean artists seem to have their own style and isn't copying other people. While in Japan there are still some artists who tries to sound like NY East-Coast Hip-Hop, which isn't bad or anything but lacks originality. It's a shame that I can understand Japanese and not Korean, or else I would enjoy these songs even more.

Can anyone recommend any Korean Hip-Hop to me that sounds like 90s East Coast rap (Mobb Deep, Tribe Called Quest, Gangstarr, Wu)?? Thanks.
