I think consensus is that he's straight. Soobin is the one in TXT that is speculated on the most as to not being straight.

I don't care about that stuff, my point was about @Melany linking a thread that only confirmed her own opinion as well as a thread that spread misinformation and distorted details of what actually happened (such as using cropped pictures and not acknowledging the whole context of the trip). I commented on there being a group there because they made it seem like the two were there just them on some secret get together, which doesn't seem to be the case when you take into account the context of the situation. Moreover, using them being on a trip together as proof that they were dating doesn't work, if it did then i could use any of the other people that were there and say they must also be dating because they spent time together. It's just weird.

Well we can all play this game. They were there with a whole group of friends, are they all in a poly relationship just because they hung out together at a guest house?

Just wanted to burst in and say that your comments are always very interesting and well motivated/thought out! I appreciate your contribution to this thread a lot (even though i don't always agree lmao). We need more of this longform discussion and i'm happy that you're freely spreading your opinions about different topics in this way ^-^ I don't comment much here but as someone that has lurked a lot for the past few years it makes the thread much more fun to read! So yeah, just wanted to tell you (and anyone else that contributes in this way!) that it's very much appreciated >.<

BTS' maknae line have like 5 dating rumors each at any given point in time that various parts of the internet think are accurate (twitter swears by one or two girls and korean forums another 2 or 3). Taehyung's rumors are usually with actresses or non-celebs, but none of them have more proof than they were at one point in time in the same general area or own similar items/have the same hobby. It's all very baseless (even when they were pushing those subway pictures of him and that actress it turned out that they weren't even taken on the same day). It's pretty funny if you follow this kind of stuff on the korean side though (through twitter + forums) because you can see them cycle through each rumor as soon as either the member in question or the 'love interest/supposed girlfriend' does something that could vaguely connect them. Then when they act in a way where there is no connection or they can be connected with another girl these same people will start up rumors with the next or a new person instead. If you hang around long enough this pattern becomes very obvious (every few months a new girl will be added to the roster and another dropped as well, and the rotational system will continue), it's kind of funny. According to some of them the BTS members must be out here living that poly lifestyle (which i mean all the more power to them lmao). I don't doubt that some (or even all) members are dating and/or that some of them have girlfriends/a partner, don't get me wrong, i just wouldn't take the rumors as anything but rumors because of the ridiculous nature of them. Also, all the members are getting more and more rumors because they're getting older so people expect them to date (at least sane fans (and antis lol) do). Usually when there are idols that are dating and they get revealed it never is the people others suspected, it almost always feels very random (one exception i can think of is maybe Heechul and Momo, they were very obvious visiting Momo's hometown at the same time during chuseok etc). This got pretty long lol, i'm a rambler so i apologize...

Taehyung is very traditional and values family a lot, so regardless of what his sexuality is (straight, bi/pan, gay, ace etc) i see him settling down with a girl and starting a family in the future. Kids seems like something he very much wants, so i don't think he would sacrifice that if he could help it, and let's be real, he nor any other idol will be able to start a genuine family involving kids with a same sex partner anytime soon. I also think that if he is bi/pan then he will most likely only act on his attraction towards women publically and officially. So yeah, i'm of the opinion that he's possibly LGBTQ+, but i don't think he will ever open up about it and will probably lead the kind of life that is expected of him in the future.

Did you even read my post? That was my point. I would never be as animated but that's true for women as well because i'm shy and an introvert that internalizes not externalizes these things. Anyways, i wasn't trying to comment on any of BTS' sexualities. I was just offering a different perspective.

I mean ogling a woman's ass means very little to me. I constantly stare at and think the BTS member's are hot and have nice 'features' (ahem...) but i'm a lesbian and wouldn't touch a dude in real life unless you paid me with a very nice looking number (and most likely not even then because the thought makes me uncomfortable). Still i do find certain males and certain male anatomy (not all of it and not all the time, that's for sure) nice to look at in an aesthetic sense. Finding something/someone aesthetically nice, good looking or hot doesn't mean you are sexually, romantically or even emotionally attracted to them, nor that you would pursue them as a partner if given the choice. There are different types of attraction and these can all exist together in a symbiotic (is that the right word?) relationship or they can exist separately or in specific pairings, and they don't all present in the same way. For some (or maybe most? I don't know) this all lines up and that's neat, but for others it definitely doesn't. Honestly this is the reason that it took me so long to figure out my sexuality (going from thinking i'm bisexual to lesbian to bisexual with preference for women, to thinking i'm on the ace spectrum (which i might say is still somewhat true) to bisexual to lesbian. I only very recently started to ID as lesbian and it was after figuring out stuff like different attractions and comp het) and i only settled in the past weeks after having a revelation and reading the 'Am i a lesbian?' masterdoc. I guess that's also why i feel like these discussions are kind of pointless in the end (though they are fun to have). Sexuality and attraction is very complex and often can't be explained by outwardly behaviours. (I hope this made sense by the way, words aren't my strong suit).

Oh i'm gonna edit, i think i confused him with Iron. The worst i found was him getting caught with drugs (marijuana use), which isn't so bad (a crime in south korea but still). So yeah nevermind!
