“Zoë Kravitz to play Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman”
al qaeda replied to al qaeda's topic in Movies & Television
That’s true, I understand your frustrations. But I’m glad that more doors are slowly being opened for people of colour, esp dark skinned actors. There’s so much talent out there, it’s stupid to limit someone because of the colour of their skin.- 9 replies

The Big Little Lies star landed the role of Selina Kyle in a new take on the DC superhero. Zoë Kravitz has landed the role of Catwoman in The Batman, a new take on the dark DC superhero. The Big Little Lies star will play Selina Kyle and her alter ego alongside Robert Pattinson, who will take on the lead role. The film comes from Matt Reeves, whose credits include Cloverfield and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The 30-year-old daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet reportedly went through a rigorous testing process that saw her compete alongside Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska and Eiza González. After Kravitz tested last week with Pattinson, she secured the part. The cast is also set to include Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon while Jonah Hill is also in talks for an unspecified villain role. Kravitz’s credits include the Divergent series and Mad Max: Fury Road. She will next be seen in Hulu’s reimagined take on High Fidelity. Here’s the full article: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/culture/2019/oct/14/zoe-kravitz-catwoman-batman-robert-pattinson - Thoughts? I was gutted at first since her acting has never impressed me but I’m slowly warming up to the idea. To be fair on her I haven’t seen much of her best works and she’s mostly cast as side characters, I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and just hope for the best. It’s so refreshing that they cast a black actress for a popular character, Zoe is so gorgeous as well~

Why was sulli getting all these malicious comments in the first place ?
al qaeda replied to Marshmallows's topic in Random
She was quite outspoken (esp on women’s rights) and didn’t fit the image of a traditional celebrity - she refused to conform to anyone else’s standards. She also lost her “cute” image which she was originally known for, instead choosing to embrace her own identity and being herself. She was constantly slut shamed and sexualised by men (and women). She was a good person and didn’t deserve any of the ridiculous hate (there was literally a witch hunt against her, the way the media demonised her is absolutely atrocious). -
I hope that you’re all doing okay after the recent news of Sulli’s passing. If any of you want to talk about it or vent or smth then you’re always welcome to talk to me

it’s okay to feel this way, we understand, it’s hard for anyone to experience this...to have someone you’ve loved and supported for most of your life to just suddenly leave you. but it’s going to be okay, she’s in a better place now if you ever need anyone to talk to then I’m here for you (it’s luna btw idk if you still rmb me or not)

Hey, I just want to let you know that this is not your fault, don’t blame yourself for something that you can’t control - none of us can and that can make us feel helpless sometimes. The best thing you can possibly do is to keep encouraging people, giving them your love and support and comforting them when they need you most. It’s going to be okay, you’re going to be alright. Please make sure to look after yourself
