Still haven't finished the masters of Rome series. On book 6 right now, The October horse, it's about Caesar, Cleopatra and leading up to his assassination. It's a great series tbh, not only is it well written and historically accurate, it's really enjoyable as well. I keep getting sidetracked since I have so many other books to finish so I'm reading 'How Rome fell' by Adrian Goldsworthy on the side. It's nonfiction but also quite good albeit with a lot (1/3) of fillers. It's a detailed analysis on why the roman empire fell. It's not for ones not familiar with the world. The one good thing is that it doesn't read like a text book.
